Isn’t there a rule where if a player loses his helmets he can do anything like block or sack the qb because the rule is supposed to protect the players head
Couldn't find anything about it in the rulebook, only that the play dies if the runner loses their helmet.
That’s a rule in college football where it’s a penalty if he continues to play after losing his helmet. There’s no rule for that in the nfl thoigh

I didn't think you were allowed to do that as a defensive player. I know a few years ago they outlawed the Jason Witten running with no helmet play and made the ball dead as soon as you lose your helmet. But I guess they don't care about defensive players? They can still go for the tackle and it counts?
