It's only fair to judge people as individuals and by the content of their character. I think a lot of Brits just enjoy taking the piss, obviously some will be prejudiced but many of them won't care. You'll get the odd joke made your way but feel free to make them about us too! It's seriously nothing against you, most of my experiences with Germans have been very positive.

Na, not after reading how the US betrayed Britain in the Falklands War. The American President and Secretary of State both wanted the USA to side with Argentina. They even gave the Argentine Junta secret British military plans of *_Operation Alpha._*

The US initially wanted to settle the issue without military intervention. But when they were told by Thatcher that we were not going to give the islands up and that we would go to war to defend the British citizens there, the US actually helped us out greatly by sending us weapons and supplies for the troops.

I'm Brazilian (we haven't really fought in any wars), and I think this chant is one of the best ever! It would be a shame if England supporters couldn't sing it during the Euro games. The RAF pilots came from all over Europe especially Poland, and across the Commonwealth. Typical of the English claiming they won the war.

Nobody disputes there were Pols, Canadians, Kiwis etc but most were British. You saying the English somehow lay claim to winning a world war really is ludricous. You need to balance yourself up by taking that lone chip of your shoulder.
