Verizon was reported to within days of my cell being lost accidentally during a move. They continued to bill me even though I cancelled autopay after calling and cancelling my service since I could not afford another cell at the time. The continued to bill me. 3 months later still charging and pushed auto pay through anyway, costing me $36 overdraft on my account I was closing since they refused to remove autopay. Again this month, they send an email bill again and refused to acknowledge my cancellation of service due to lost cell 4 months ago. They can clearly see my cell number has had no usage whatsoever, yet the rep now says the cancellation did not happen til last month, so I have another charge. This is either poor record keeping or flat out fraud. The final straw with this bogus company was after going over all these facts and placed on hold for over 2 hours, the lady hung up on me when I told her the cancellation date she had quoted was not correct.
I went with AT&T April 4th and am still being billed by Verizon. I have talked to their chat support eveytime I get a bill. I've talked to a live representative and AT&T talked to their customer service twice to cancel my account. and I just received another bill. They took about thirty dollars off from the normal bill when they finally cancelled it. The Federal taxes are ($44.00 a month) plus state and local taxes on a bill I don't even owe! So far, I have paid out over $600.00 in payments with no account (except in their billing departments imagination) and no calls, texts or anything, Good luck dealing with these morons!
Would be too easy to have a text saying "Thanks for choosing Verizon, we have noticed your using a lot of roaming data. Our roaming plan offers 25gb of data. Please check your account to see if your roaming data allowance is matched to your usage" for example. Rather than dump bills onto people. Also a security shut off, or reduction in speed with an email or text saying roaming data is high.
Im in Roswell NM, and I’m dropping Verizon tomorrow morning. By bill was 265, I paid 200 and my phone is still turned off. My minimum payment is 125. I paid 75 bucks over my minimum and they still turn my phone off. I’m leaving. I’m done. Verizon sucks.
There is already a class action suit paying out in 2024, but they need to start another one because they are STILL doing illegal fraudulent added on charges and hidden fees

Verizon is horrible. There are over different charges on my mom’s 2 bills. They take advantage of naive customers.
This company breaks the law any chance it gets in my opinion !
