Imagine them going around Cwmtydu...... Brilliant footage..... Exactly what rallying is all about. And for once it's on our doorstep..... Great great event!!!!!!!!
Back in my yoof, marshals had whistles and knew what to do with them. What's the rule these days? Instagram update that there's a car on the way or something?? No longer any use of standard signals to warn drivers of danger ahead? (Don't follow rallying much any more so this is actually a semi-serious question BTW :-D )
Some marshals still use whistles these days but not all ,because this stage has never been run before alot of the drivers got caught out ,I’m sure if the organisers had any idea about this the post would of had a lot more marshals but saying that everything went on the second run though
looks like catching most out these more national rallies i think are more enjoyable to watch than the WRC more variety in car's and drivers clearly all of different skill levels and capability.
I totally understand what your saying it’s great to watch even the people with the skill get it wrong sometimes tho saying that I’m missing the wrc cars so much
Thanks 🙏 it does take some time before the rally to try pick the right spot ,we can’t get it right all the time but this was absolutely carnage at this location 😳
It was in the notes as a caution & that was it. In reality, there was a large amount of wet mud on the road so many people just locked up or went dead straight on the turn in. Then once cars piled up, nobody was further up stage to slow incoming cars with good time
It's as if the 4x4 is so grippy the cars can't turn easily - limited slip diffs set to max? I've known some farmers who can corner faster in an old mini van..
How many cars were off road? In Finland there was one corner in the 80's that took over 100 cars. It was winter and plenty of snow. So no major causes to cars. I have been twice in a corner 40+ off roading moments. All these rallies were driven without pacenotes and no previous history of this kind of action.
More than half the entry I would say more of less unseen here in the us ,wow 100 cars that must of been crazy ,can sort of see why with no pacenotes and unused roads them memories will live with you forever that’s what ralling all about 😃
@@rallyactionuk1322 here you can see one of those tricky corners. ruclips.net/video/8_geZeSNSbQ/видео.htmlsi=2Cltv8Q9vt7y2LM1 You can also find EP Lappi's co-driver Janne Ferm from the audience.
Honestly, its embarrassing to watch ... first they cant use the handbrake around a hairpin then they get all glustered and try to make up time on the next bend! Too much pedal and too little finesse
Very disaapointing to see Marshals wearing tabards standing on the outside of that corner. After this year's Jim Clark Reivers' Rally which came very close to being cancelled in the morning, we all need to be extra careful on how we're seen to be running closed road events. The Police nearly called off the JCRR (not just that day, but FOR EVER) due to competitors asking and expecting spectators and marshals to help get them back on the road if they go off. Anyone walking on the closed road is commiting an offence. Be very careful out there folks, or we'll lose the sport we love so much.
Great video! Some awful marshalling though! marshals stood still whilst spectators are doing all the work! 😂
A lot of spectators said the same ,to be honest they didn’t stand a chance against all that 😮pour souls
awesome video dude, that road is insane to drive at 10mph never mind flat out fair play that was the spot for the weekend

It looks suspicious was there anything poured on the tarmac?
No nothing was there ,it was just such a tight blind bend ,not many at all went off there on the second run
I would of personally let the crews get themselves unstuck from the soggy grass
A lot of people did some of the spectators were on a mission tho
Ciao hello to all awesome 👍❤
Hello thanks 🙏 ❤️

Can see what your saying ,Didn’t do the Jim Clarke this year so don’t really no what went on but your right don’t want to lose events
