I can't remember the last time we had a wonderful weather day, it's been so grey and cold here in East Anglia :( I've been hiding away in my tiny lean-to greenhouse, trouble is I've no space left now. Common Spring, show us some sunshine!
For the plant labels, save milk cartons and cut them up - they work brilliantly. That's what I did last here for when I did a free plant pick n' mix.
The weather has been a bit all over the place for ages! It’s been nice and sunny here this week but that’s caused overnight temps to drop right down. We’re forecast -1c tonight!
Thankfully it looks like after Sunday things get better but the rain comes back!
Great idea about the milk cartons. I’ll have to start saving them 👍🌱👍
Nothing like a bit of power wash simulator Mark! A great reminder to do ours. We normally do ours in March but it's been so wet still.
I love the idea of seed/plant swaps. I mainly give them away as i don't know where our local groups are and don't use fb or ig.
I put my spares in 2pint milk bottles and leave the handle on the edge so they can carry them. I also like to use fizzy bottles and reverse the labels to keep the plants warm and keep the light off the roots.
I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t actually played that game 😂
The seed and plant swaps are great events. There’s a handful of us that help organise them and they’re usually pretty successful. However, the plant swap one is usually outdoors so we have to rely on a good weather day for that. When the sun is out it makes a massive difference! 👍🌱👍
my Bedfordshire giant onions all died. Zebruge shallot seedlings, spring onion seedlings and leek seedling romped away. All treated the same so no idea why they died. Weird! Your seedlings are looking fabulous. I make my labels too for giveaways, form milk bottles and yoghurt pots. Happy gardening 🙂
MARK. IF YOU STACK YOUR YOGURT POTS UPSIDE DOWN, YOU COULD DRILL HOLES THROUGH THEM, SAVES TIME POKING HOLES AND YOU CAN DO SEVERAL AT A TIME
Love that idea you have in linlithgow mate 👍...can you let us know what date its on ,might come a wee visit...Good vlog again ..have a gid week
I’ll dig out the details on put them in an upcoming vid, if I remember.
If I don’t it’s on Saturday 18th May 11-1 on the High Street outside the LCDT building , also known as the old library 👍🌱👍
Boys and their toys..😁 as long as they are useful, why not?
🌱🍅👍
I love a good gadget😋
I was out agin jet washing yesterday. Just got the rest of the back garden to do now and the. It’s on to the front 👍🌱👍
Get the onions in the poly tunnel Mark, i thought mine were looking weedy, gave them a couple of weeks in there and they have started bulbing up! I got the first 50 out at the weekend, only another 100 to go 😂😂
It’s odd how it’s just the one variety that hasn’t really taken off. Must admit they’re looking a bit better since I’ve started them on a regular liquid feed.
Wonder if it is something to do with the compost. I sense an experiment coming on 🙃🧑🔬
Mark. You don’t need to use patio cleaner if you’re pressure cleaning. It will take everything off. I never use patio cleaner and every year mine comes out beautifully. 😊
Quality content as always. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks John 👍🌱👍
Not dead is good 👍. But it’s been wet and cold there so maybe they just need a tan 🌞🌞. We finally got rain ☔️ and the slugs are having a field day 🤬🤬. Have a marvellous and dry weekend, Ali ☔️🇨🇦
Not dead is the standard I aim for 😂
Still a bit cold here overnight at the mo but looking better over the weekend.
Gave the wee onions a bit more liquid feed yesterday so hoping they pick up soon. 👍🌱👍

Thanks Luc 👍🌱👍
Great advice
Thanks 👍🌱👍
Hi I don't think it's the compost like the chaps think on the potty mouth club , personally I think it's the seeds. It seems to me that it is only certain seeds that are slow growing or not germinating.. it's been 3/4years now since covid so theoretically we will now be getting all the seeds that didn't sell that are going out of date as on the seed packets they normally last 3/4 years... just my two pennies worth but another great video
I’m sensing an experiment coming on.
Already got half an idea but will take some planning and quite a few weeks to film. Think it’s got potential though 👍🌱👍
YOU COULD WRITE ON POT WHAT VARIETY OF PLANTS
🌱🌱
Cant believe everyone keeps saying the the hairs on tomato stems turn into roots! They don't 😢
Excellent point!
I’ve just done some research on this after reading your comment and will be changing things going forward 👍🌱👍
