In yesterday's video we took a look at how the new horde hunt event works and all of the free rewards that are available to unlock from it, which includes the Killshot Operator skin.
Today i wanted to share with you a super easy way you can farm the skulls you need to progress towards getting that skin unlocked as I noticed quite alot of people seem to be having a bit of a hard time finding them.
Using this strat myself, I managed to collect almost 200 skulls with-in just one game of Zombies. So as you need 600 skulls total for the event, That’s a huge chunk of them collected in just one game.
So to get the skulls, you need to be killing Armored Zombies which look like this, The light armored zombies although similar are not who you need to kill for the skulls to drop.
So basically what you wanna do at the start of a zombies game is open up your map and check to see where the Aether Storm is, If you didn’t already know this is marked on your map with a purple circle that has a radiation looking symbol on it.
With-in the storm is where you’re going to find a lot of Armored Zombies and you can basically endlessly farm them from with-in the aether storm.
It is going to be the easiest if the Storm is with-in the Low threat zone, so that way you can farm kills without having to upgrade your gun that much or at all but ideally you want to do this with-in the medium threat zone so that the spawn rate of the armored zombies is higher.
So depending on where the storm is located you can then decide if you want to farm it & if not you can just exfil out of the game and jump into another one.
Once the storm spawns at a location you're happy with, obviously head to that location and get the attention of the zombies inside of it, So you could do this by running inside the storm so they start to chase you or maybe throw a decoy grenade at the edge of the storm so they come over to you that way.
Once they do have your attention you want to lure them out of the aether storm so that there health decreases.
Inside of the Aether Storm these zombies are one tier above the zone that you’re in and take alot of damage to kill but you pull them out they’ll tier down to match the zone you’re in. So within the medium threat zone they’ll go from tier 3 down to tier 2 and within the medium threat zone, they’ll go from tier 2 down to tier 1.
After you’ve taken them all out and picked up all of the skulls the armored ones have dropped you can then go back into the storm to find more zombies.
If there aren’t anymore then just try and find the stormcaller and shoot him a couple of times and he’ll then spawn another horde of zombies for you to kill.
& then it’s just rinse and repeat until you’ve collected a bunch of skulls.
If one is nearby make sure to use the ammo caches to restock not only your decoy grenades but also your gas mask too as this will slowly deplete while you’re in the storm getting the attention of the zombies.

They really should’ve specified which armored zombies, cause they don’t say they have to be the heavily armored ones and they even use the Light Armored Zombies in the tracker tab for the image.

Its easier to play MP death point (hard point with zombies), you can get 50-70 every 10 min

Stellar mate! Was running in and out of Zone 3 baiting a few out but inadvertently got a mega abomination that followed me all the way to Zone 1 exfil site! Only got 10 skulls. This will be so much easier! Keep up the awesome work. Cheers

Honestly I just played horde point. Got the armored, hell hounds and mimics without going out of my way at all, just happens with everyone killing zombies around you
This worked great, i stayed in zone 2 and let them come to me soon as they left the zone, sprayed them down and repeated the strat.
Needed that tip didn't wanna have to play so much mp to get em
Helpful video…I never even thought about farming at the aether storm for the armored zombies….My friends and I always end up just a little bit over 100 skulls and that’s only in the tier III zone using the turret mods

easy skulls definitely = glitching outlast contract in tier 3 zombies. Just cancel immediately at 95 % and you get an endless stream of armored zombies.

Nah man, and can be done at any outlast across the map still. Something pretty easy to do in order to level the new weapons, this season's it seems to be about 15-17 levels per match, per weapon doing the outlast contracts.
Which gun to use at tier 3?

I was heading towards my tombstone and even in the lower tier 1 zone one shot me driving on the railway. I was pissed!
I started to do this but then the armored just stopped spawning so then I ended up farming along the beaches in zone 3 - most I can do is 50-60 a game though sooo it's a little tedius
STAND BY OR GO IN THE STORM, THE STORM CALLER SUMMONS THEM A LOT ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU KNOCK DOWN THE HEALTH SOME; REGARDLESS OF WHICH ZONE THE STORM SPAWNS AT!.

without purple aether tools and pack n punch it's so slow and if you also don't have those schematics it won't work hordpoint was better
i tested your method but after 40min match i got 9 skulls my gun wasn't strong enough

Already had all skulls so not sure how many of those i got

Just go to a tier 1 exfil and keep farming the zombies that spawn after calling the chopper. Rinse and repeat until you finally want to exfil.
