Today, 12-24-17 is the first time I heard Puerto Padre. I love the trumpet groove from 1:20 to 1:39 which is beautiful. After listening to other versions I noticed much more of the other performances expand on what I heard from 1:20 to 1:39. I felt that this beautiful theme should be expanded and played much longer which was not done here. Now I like many of the other versions much more than this performance which was performed by very talented musicians.

Que exellente musica la del gran pianista y compositor Emiliano Salvador.Homenaje muy sencillo de parte de maestros musicos cubanos (una vez mas...).Este cantante es un tremendo sonero:No entiendo de donde sale una voz tan sencilla,tan poderosa.(Su fisico no tiene nada con el del otro excelente cantante Aramis Galindo,no?).Parece salir no tanto de los pulmonés que de la ' bariga'.Tremenda energia....A mi me recuerda al sonero quien cantaba en la banda salsera de Maraca Valle (Genio de la flauta en todos generos).Comentar a cada musico,no vale la pena.Pa mi son los 'Puerto padre Maestros'.Y Nueva-York (Gracias al Senor Martin Cohen cuyo 'trabajo' es conocido por todos latinos o latinizados de la planeta) tiene suerte de oirles (en casa....pero que significa casa Cuando compartimos la musica? Mucho Ache à todos desde Francia.

Malditos cubanos son fantásticos. Una republiquita pequeña, pero capaz de inundar de música varios planetas. Cuba es una época entera. Algo tienen en el agua, no sé, pero por estos lados la gente, ni estudiando toda su vida, toca o canta así.

With all do respect, the lead vocalist is not a match with this band, just my opinion, he cant seem to carry the correct notes, just seems to be in his own world and not in sync. Sorry. As for the rest of the band, absolutely talented.
