Amazing job as always, and so proud of that mom for reaching out. Seeing the 2 months later photos really illustrated how much of an impact giving a little help to get someone started can have. Speaking as someone who struggles with depression, sometimes my apartment will get a bit messy in places, and when I finally clean it, often there's a voice in my head saying "I can't believe you let it get this bad." Very negative thoughts. For someone with very serious depression, that alone can be enough to discourage them from even trying to clean. Giving someone a "fresh start" by waking up to a clean home can often be all they need to stay on top of it. I truly look forward to these videos all week and I hope you can keep doing them for a long time.

Bleach is better than soap in some instances. Soaking bakeware with baked on messes in a mixture of bleach and cold water for 2 hours is a life saver. Its works for a lot of cookware/Bakeware so well. You don't have to scrub. Try that with soap. It will not work. You would have to scrub it. That is a waste of time and the result it not as good. On the flip side lot of people sanitize their homes especially during the pandemic. Sanitizing the whole house and trying to create an aseptic environment is actually harmful to our health. We need exposure to germs and viruses.

I totally agree, this is exactly how I was treated as a kid. Any time I’d vacuum or anything there was always “you missed a spot” or blatant discussion of how “bad” I clean. No one ever taught me how to properly clean rather just assumed I knew how which I did not. To this day as an adult there are things I don’t always know how to clean correctly and instead of someone showing me how they ask me “how could you not know? You’re an adult.” There are so many things I realize now as an adult I simply was never taught and everyone looks down on me as if I’m stupid or I should know better but you simply don’t know what you don’t know.

In a lot of tv shows about cleaning very messy homes, there is a lot of judgement, both from the cleaners, as well as the comments underneath.

What a cute apartment! I love the layout. I'm jealous of the bathrooms over there (and I notice the same in Japan) where the whole room is designed to get wet and have drains in the floors. Definitely not the case here in America, but it would make cleaning the floors so much easier! I notice you're by yourself in this one....just curious, how long did this end up taking from start to finish?

so i don't know, but i assume anywhere between 12 to 20 hrs...?

I think the main problem in this house was how cluttered it was. Some dirty appliances here and there, but I've seen you clean so much worse honestly. But still, I'm sure this really does mean so much to the mother. I do feel for her. I'm sure being a single mum would already be really hard work, being a depressed single mum would be the absolute worst. I love seeing people bringing people up instead of bringing them down. It's so easy to jump to conclusions when you don't even know the full story.

Don't judge people with messy homes... My younger brother was diagnosed with depression last year and had a really hard time, keeping his apartment clean all by himself. It's ok, I help him out once a week and make sure, he remembers to take his meds. He's doing a lot better at the moment and that's all that matters.

I so agree with all the comments here about what a gift you are giving to someone who is struggling - giving them a bright new start. Also, about the courage and love for her children that Mary is displaying in reaching out for help. I want to add, what a charming and lighthearted home I find this to be, all spiffed up. It looks like a delightful and warm home for any age: mommy and kiddos, both. I think Mary really has an eye for beauty. Wishing Mary and family the best as you go forward. And a special thanks to the Cleaning Angel for spreading her angel dust made of glitter wherever she goes!

I would like to know if these people who get help with cleaning also get psychiatric treatment. Because it's no use, in a short time the house will be as dirty as before. These people are sick. Impossible to live like this. And raise the child in such an environment

When I was stuck in the dumps and saw no way out, to have someone give a gift and to break the pattern showed me that things can change, and taught me how to do better. 💗💗💗

I would like to add one small suggestion here, plz ask them to keep the windows and curtains open for the sunlight in the house, fresh air and sunlight gives a very positive vibes in the house. It also helps people with depression. Keep posting videos lots of love
