This is the proof of concept year for the portal that could make it the primary recruiting mechanism.

This is the first time I have seen someone advocating for just focusing on transfer portal for team building. I guess, Colorado is the other school trying to do it this way. Problem is Mercenaries are only worried about themselves in most cases, look at Fla St in the Orange Bowl last year. I really hate all these rule changes. There needs to at least be some limits placed on the tendancy to play the Mercenary game. Remember, this is COLLEGE FOOTBALL not Pro....these one year and out guys probably don't make any effort to behave like a student and go to classes.
It's just what you say when you can't recruit big time High School players. Even the good ones they have committed are leaving.
There needs to be one high school signing day in February. No more than that period. Salary cap on NIL period.
