Awesome! Thank you ! I am 78 and have been sewing since I was 13 but you are never too old to learn. I have enjoyed this SAL so much. My first one and now to start on All the Trimmings!
I made this exactly following the instructions. It is the cutest design I've seen for Halloween. Thank you to the designer. My daughter claimed it and took it to her house, where it is on display for the next generation. thanks Fat Quarter shop.
That border trick is awesome!!!! How many times have I struggled from trimming my border a little too short. You’re so smart, Kimberly!!! This is why we love your videos. Thank you so much.
Kimberly again thank you for these free patterns. I didnt see this last year but have had such fun making this. I cheated and strip sewed the 4 patch and for me it was easier. Am very intimidated by those tiny pieces.
I really enjoyed this video. I like that Kimberly described the “small” things like the border on her label, the excess on her backing and especially the points when putting on her border.
Excellent! Thank you so much for breaking thru the myth that if you don't do certain things "this one way" only, you're doing it wrong! Best video in a long time!! (You project turned out great!)
Bless your Heart Kimberly ! ❤️ Thanks for keeping it real! I always thought I was doing something wrong when things didn’t come out just right but you have shown me otherwise- just knowing that makes my hobby more enjoyable! 😊
Once again, this was a fabulous sewing and creating experience! Thanks Kimberley because I learn something every time. QALs are a way to gain a whole lot of experience in a short amount of time. My Bats & Boos quilt fit together like a perfect puzzle and I'm working on the backing today. The next step will be quilting it myself. Thanks again.
When each of my blocks came out the right size I was amazed. I usually have to square up and loose my points. Or they are too small or different sizes. So frustrating. Your directions and tips are amazing. Thank you this was fun. My sewing space is now much neater. Watching you refold your fabric after each use and discarding the scraps immediately was an eye opener. When I grow up I want to be Kimberly Jolly.
This was fun and a good skill builder for me. I really like your tip on cutting backing! My knees are in your debt forever.....Thanks so much for a fun project!
My first quilt top! I'm so please with the results and all the helpful hints along the way. I think the center star took me longer than each batch of bats and pumpkins!
This has been an A Ticket ride! I love when these videos actually teach you something. So many quilt shops just dump basic block, no challenge quilts out there. Pressing is SO important and you keep repeating it. My Bat blocks look better than any blocks I've ever done. Can't wait to continue. I would also love a link to that music you used for this series, please? Oh, and the triangle paper I purchased from you worked SO much better than the free pattern I found online. Done a bit of ripping out seams, but all well worth the results! Thank you!
Hi Kimberly, this was sew much fun. This was my first sew along and I loved it! I hope I get to do another one. The music for this was cool. Thanks so much for all of the things you do. Hope you have a great day!
I’m sitting this project out but still enjoy watching. Very cute quilt. Kimberly’s tips are great! No matter how many quilts I make I always struggle with the backing. When Kimberly showed how to prepare backing on the beginner series the fabric was solid color so it was hard for me to follow. So glad to see this done on print fabric. Now I just have to make a note of the video so I can go back and watch when I need to. Thanks Kimberly and FQS for all you do.
Just started quilting and I’m making a double wedding ring for my brother. It’s definitely not for the faint at heart!!!! Loving all these tips!! I’m going to try and make this one as well!!!
Kimberly thank you for this cute free pattern. My daughter was born on Halloween and I have been collection unique Halloween prints to make her a quilt one day and now I have the pattern, I obtained this fabric and will begin making this for her, but will use this pattern with the other unique Halloween fabrics that I have in my stash. I love the free stitch pattern and will be making this for her as well.
Thank you so much for sharing how you add the boarders. That makes it so much easier! Great info on cutting the backing and adding the label, I learned so much today! Thank you for the free pattern and tutorials. I better get started! Excited for the Christmas follow along!
This is such a cute & spooooky mystery quilt! I finished my bats yesterday and cutting the rest & hopefully get it done to give to my granddaughters for Halloween decorations. Thanks for the free pattern FQS y'all write the best, easiest to read & follow instructions 🧛♀️
thank you so much for this free pattern. I had fun making it and also learnt more from you about piecing. Love , love the mystery quilts you produce! Loved the music behind the video too. Great job!
Thank you Kimberley for this wonderful pattern and great videos. I really appreciate all your time and effort you put into this quilting project and all your tips along the way are most helpful. Looking forward to your next quilting adventures. Wonderful!
T hu is has been so much fun. Thank you for these free sew along! FQS is the best!! And I love the music and graphics. It made it even more fun. Thanks again!!🦇🎃🦇🎃🦇🎃🦇
I watched for the reason of your great tips! I'm not into Halloween but your sewing tips are always great :) I'm thinking of making the pumpkin with that beautiful star in it and make a wall hanging for Fall. It's so pretty.
I loved this sew along. Thank you FQS and Kimberly. I missed out on the kit as it sold out so fast and I’ve now missed out on the new Trimmings kit starting in September. So I appreciate it that the pattern clearly states what you need for the full project so I can go into my stash and come up my own fabrics. I tried to buy local but the fabric seems to be sold out everywhere. Your tips on sewing, pinning and ironing are wonderful. When I pin I now call it doing the Kimberly Jolly. Can’t wait for the Sept sew along. ❤️
Thank you for the free pattern and really loved this particular video tutorial to show how to arrange backing and putting on a label. I found this very helpful and the the tips were wonderful
I truly enjoyed watching this free quilt along...I cannot wait to stitch this up...can't get to my quilting addiction at the moment. 😪 I thought the music added to this video was just so darn cute!!
I now do the border your way and I love it! Had great success with it when I did the border for the Sewcialite quilt. I want to do this quilt now though I am not a fan of the bat.. might change that block and make a fall quilt instead. Thank you for all what FQS do.
This has been a fun and great quilt a long 🎃 🦇. Thank you. I especially appreciate that you demonstrate how you do labels which I have always struggled with. And a huge thank you for introducing us to Sweetwater’s labels. I love them.
This is one of the cutest quilts y’all have done for a sew along!! Kudos to you and your team. I just absolutely love it and I’m not even a fan of Halloween decorations!
Such a cute quilt! While I did not stitch along with you, I will definitely stitch one up by this halloween! :-) Thank so much for the free patterns and tutorials! I'm soooooo in the mood for autumn now!!! :-)

‘I’m not undoin’ that; nobody’s gonna notice.” Absolutely right. ❤️
Fantastic tutorial, thanks for sharing your tips and tricks. It is always great to learn many ways of producing the same end product of a project.
I really enjoyed this video. I like that Kimberly described the “small” things like the border on her label, the excess on her backing and especially the points when putting on her border.
The production quality of this series was top notch

Dating myself because I remember when the best rides were E-tickets ❤️
