  • Speaking of never knowing what to expect. It was nice to catch up with a friend last minute, but not so nice that Independence Mine is so far up in the mountain that the clouds rained on us. We did do some more shopping and had a beautiful drive back home to Fairbanks. This may be our last road trip this summer, come join us.

    There is so much beauty in Alaska!! Was going to say you forgot Mary but at the end you were picking her up at the airport. After your busy summer you bears are going to need the winter to relax. ❤❤❤

      It really is pretty. I am so thankful for our Spring/Summer/Fall, when I can drive the roads and take it all in. I can't forget Mary, it feels so strange when she is not around. I really am looking forward to winter and relaxing for sure 🥰

    Hi Bears 🐻🐻🐻 Did not want you to think I fell off the face of the earth 🙃🙃. Just been busy ... have the last 2 videos to catch up on which I plan to do before you post more. I usually do not comment when I watch late because I'm not sure if you see the comments or not. We are doing alot of the work to get ready for Fall/Winter. We are also going to get our driveway coated once Hubby patches holes, etc. A little chilly this morning, down to 48 degrees outside and 66 degrees in the house. Had to turn on the heat for a short time. Hope the Bears have a fantastic week. Hugs. 💜💜💜

      Hi there, oh I understand, that's why we are kicking out the videos. The last few years we either did not do them or we recorded them and put them up much later. Summer and Fall are crazy busy times. I don't get alerted to comments, I have notifications off for everything. I enjoy my sleep. 48 is chilly, compared to the temps you were having. My house is set at 64, I turned the heat on in 2 zones, it has come on. Thank you and you have a fantastic week too, don't work to hard. Hugs from us 🥰🤗🐾🐾

    Thanks for sharing. Our closest Red Robin closed. Made it home safely. Kittie nose prints drive Larry crazy. Made his appointment for hip injections. Hope all is well. Larry loved the monster trucks. You knew his hot button!🤣😊

      We love Red Robin, I am kind of glad the closest one is 300 miles away. The dog nose prints make me crazy too and my car really needs a good detailing! I love the Monster trucks too, I hope Larry finds some relief and I am sure he will be thankful you are back home! Glad you made it safe and sound 🥰

    Love Box Lunch! Japanese Cherry Blossom is really the only fragrance I pick up at B&B Works, so Heather has great taste LOL 😊 Everyone has their own tastes that bring them Joy, that's what makes us all individuals😊

    Hello ladies. Boy did you all have an eventful summer. Y’all gonna have to hibernate all winter to catch up on rest lol. ❤. We are preparing for a cat 2 hurricane at our home. May try to go live during the storm if possible. Will have winds over 80miles per hr at my home. 😬. See you all in the next one. Was a wonderful video with great views.

    Hi Bears 🐻
    Did you go to the mine during one of your trips this past summer, or was that last year? Because I remember you going there on another video, and if it was last year, wow, time sure does fly. 😅 (that was answered in the video, you went last year)😊
    Red Robin is one of my favorites. Do you think Fairbanks will ever get one? Do you have a Bath and Body Works in Fairbanks? My mom loves the Cherry Blossom fragrance. We call it “Tarjay” as well. Nice Air BNB. Heather, I get excited over new electronic gadgets too. Those were nice letters. I haven’t seen a phone booth in years. Did Mary have a good time?
    Looks like you had a great time, thanks for sharing. Have a great week. 😊❤

      Hi there! The Mine trip was in June last year, so well over a year, LOL. I have always loved Red Robin and the service at the one in Wasilla is always great! I doubt Fairbanks will get one, our regular fast food places are not doing good up here, all of the other commercial restaurants are gone. No Bath and Bodyworks, no Tarjay, LOL. I got to thinking and that may be an actual working pone booth. Heather and Mary both had an amazing time, Heather went way over budget and Mary got to spend extra time with Tyler. Thanks for being here and you have a great week too! 🥰🍂❤🌞

    What is the name of the Airbnb you stay at in Palmer? Love the chicken coop with fresh eggs! Planning a major Alaska trip in 2026 to get the remaining 4 National Parks I haven't gotten to...Katmai, Lake Clark, Kobuk and Gates of the Arctic. I see Bush planes in my future 😂

    • @AlaskanBearsVlogs
      @AlaskanBearsVlogs  Месяц назад +1

      The name of the Airbnb was Hatcher Pass Sweet Spot, in Palmer. That trip sounds like a lot of planning, but those are all of my bucket list places too! Not fond of flying in a bush plane though, which is the only way to get there for sure. 😅

    To be completely honest, when I was there I really watched hardly any 'television' at all. Except for the Weather and very local events like the Dog Races The television didn't get used at all. The Radio got more use by far. At the time, very 60s orientated. Even back when I last saw the 'Mill' there was talk of complete renovation then but sad to hear and see that this never happened. This is so much history that is slowly decaying and disappearing all over Alaska. I would seriously consider the price for the Blue Moose with the bottle. Tell Mary and Heather I also left thank you notes and tipped. AT the time the weather didn't always cooperate with me so Staying overnight at a place like this was a good thing. The last phone book I handled there was 5 inches thick! I waved at people ridding on the trains to! Sometimes I had my BDU's (camouflage) on so I guess I looked a little intimidating. Frost on the roofs is a sign that winter isn't far off. I was also thinking of the flowers and plants you had outside. Time to break out the artic sleeping bags, wait until its zero degrees and sleep outside for 'indoctrination' or you won't be 'winterized'.

      Heatehr turns on the TV, she always has 3 or 4 devices going at once. I tend to like the silence. When I was younger and the kids were growing up, as soon as I woke up the Weather channel would be turned on and that was our tv for the day, lol. When we moved here, it was the radio in the morning because the Weather Channel didn't do Alaska weather. It is sad that we are losing our history, I am glad I am getting video of it. I don't drink anymore, but I love that moose too 🤣 We always got free phone books here, they actually stopped during covid. No more phone books for us. I love waving at the trains here, even if it's just the conductor hauling coal, they look so happy when people wave! We had 3 nights of frost in a row, then a heat wave, sheesh. I was just thinking I need to wash all of my sleeping bags, they haven't been used in years, except for the one Mary used for camping last year. 😁
