Hongki has such a recognized voice that he was identified immediately TWICE on Masked Singer. He's also an actor, who started out as a kid actor. His voice is truly powerful.

Lead singer Hong Ki is known as Mr. Emotion, the man is a beast with his vocals and is hugely popular especially with the men in Korea which you know is karaoke mad, they all do FT Island songs (and Kim Kyung Ho, but you ain't ready for him yet 🤣). When he starts to sing watch the men in his presence they, just melt. And yes Lee Jae Jin ALWAYS comes in at the right time, his voice is gorgeous. Their collabs especially with N Flying are also worth a listen. You have made my morning this day Sebastine!!!!! Remembering back to when you went apes**t for them (Hong Ki and Hwe Seung(N Flying) when you heard Still Love You.

They started out as 5 but over the years lost a few members to life & events (not dead, just not in the band) - one of the few rock & roll band type Korean groups. A lot of great songs...it's one of the groups I follow.
One of the best vocalists in Korea and in recent years become seriously underrated among kpop fans. Hongki is the front man and leader, Jaejin is on the bass and sub vocals and Minhwan is the drummer.
I love and listen to the guys for 10 years ♥, they are amazing, they have a lot of great songs and Lee Hong Ki's voice is inimitable. Sebastian I love your reactions, if you want to discover their brothers, listen to CN Blue, an equally brilliant band from Korea ♥
Although I love FT Island and Lee Hong Gi is one of my favorite musicians, FT Island is not a K-pop group. They are a South Korean rock band. What distinguishes them from a K-pop group is that kpop groups are all about dancing as well as singing and the fashion, makeup etc. You will rarely see a K-pop member playing an instrument while performing. It's not to say that they don't it's just they focus more on the dancing than playing instruments. If you Google FT Island it will say that they are a South Korean rock band and not a K-pop band. Just wanted to clarify this since it says that you're reacting to K-pop groups. Have a blessed week!

Ft island was the first kpop group I met in person (for concert and fanmeet) about maybe 15-16 years ago.
You met them when they started. I saw them in NY in 2015. They debuted in 2007 when Minhwan was 14, Jaejin 15 and Hongki 17.
