An excellent tutorial and guide. Thanks!
Extremely helpful. Planning my first short using my phone. I'm getting a lot of information. This was super practical. Thanks.
Thank you I’m glad it was useful and good luck with your film
Very helpful. Great shots. Thanks.
This is great! Especially tracking into the locked focus.
Thank you so much. I learned something new from this video. 🙏🏽
Great information and very helpful. Thanks for taking the time to create and share this video!
Thanks I really appreciate that
Great video. Just starting out with Filmic Pro.
Nice. That you for the guidance.
Thx. You definitely know what you are talking about.
Very helpful! Especially the movement👌🏻
That shot where you change to the wide angle after going around the tree or brilliant.
Ingenuity at its finest …Intriguing transition of perspective that satisfies even the most perspicacious viewer
Awesome!!!
Gran video

Thank you
A really nice video with lots of insightful tips and tricks. Thanks for sharing your expertise!
Thank you for the feedback 👍🏼
Awesome video! You've really given me some great insight! I do have a question if I may before purchasing Filmic Pro for my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I'd like to know if Filmic Pro has fixed the bug with the iPhone when using a gimbal? When filming manually, it's been reported that all locked in settings are lost during the iPhones orientation when switching your gimbal from upright to underslung. Thanks again and Happy New Year to you and yours!
Tqvm for sharing ♥️
Excellent. Love it! Already subscribed to the channel.
Dope dope dope
2:44, 3:51 how to make that DOF? its amazing
Thankyou
The two hand controls make good sense. Where did you get it from?
I built it myself
Great video, I plan on getting filmic pro, I have the smooth 4 but can’t seem to figure how to use it?
Takes a lot of practise with it. If you haven’t yet I would do a search for some specific tutorials on operating smooth 4
Excellent video,,couple of questions.Does the Moon dog adapter fit directly on the Moment case,, do you have VND filters and what size are they?
The moondog lens I have is a bayonet fitting which works with moment and I have the filter adapter (moondog) which you’ll need as well and I use a variety of VND filters with either 52mm or 58 mm thread
@@gomakefilms Thank you!!
The slow motion shots you got of the guy with the black hat looked really amazing! You did those with the iPhone and filmic pro? If so what were your settings?
Even I wanna know
When you do the crane, do you constantly adjust joystick to level it, or is it like in the mimo app tilt mode where the gimbal adjust itself?
The gimbal head will always adjust as long as you practise the movement 👍🏻
That hat is dope
Awesome video! I am trying to understand best slow motion settings. From looking around I hear its best to film 60fps then slow down to 40% in post. Are your slow motion shots recorded at 24fps 1/48th still?
Thank you. When I’m filming using filmic pro with slow motion the two settings I use are 4k at 60fps or 1080p at 120fps again shutterspeed is double - I avoid adding slow motion in post as it’s never smooth because the software has to create frames that don’t exist.
Awesome . what preset or how did you achieve the look or coloring at the 3:17 time point in this video?
Just using filmic pro app - 1/48 shutter speed at 24fps in 4k ratio 2:39 graded in post using filmic pro LUT log V2
@@gomakefilms Is Filmic pro Lut Log 2v is applied while filming in the app then graded in let’s say Davinci Resolve or is the Log 2v Lut applied in Lumafusion then graded in another software like Davinci Resolve?
@@gomakefilms Is the Filmic Log v2 added while filming and then graded in let’s say Davinci Resolve? Also from my experience in coloring and coloring techniques, it seems that there is some color isolation used in your coloring?
@@Sjaubi-qf6wd the LUTS you download from filmic pro website - I use them in FCPX and Luma Touch - when filming with filmic pro app there is an additional kit that you purchase once you’ve downloaded filmic pro which is their cinematography kit - this then allows you to record in log capture. This then works with the LUTS applied during post production - all this is explained via www.filmicpro.com thanks
How did you connect smooth 4 to filmic pro, seems I can’t connect mine 🙏
go into the filmic pro menu click on hardware and then scroll down to see the smooth 4/5 connection button
Do you turn the stabilization setting to off in filmic pro when using a gimble?
that depends from project to project but generally yes I switch off the filmic stabiliser
did you remove the sharpening in filmic pro or not? thats the biggest problem with phone video, that oversharpend.look
Hi - no I didn’t remove sharpening
thanks for the information sir can I ask what is the best setting in filmic pro while shot I cinematic film? hope you notice me
Film with the highest resolution setting at 1/48th shutterspeed and keep the ISO number as low as possible and use a ND FILTER (neutral density)
I have no Nd filter newbie in mobile filming thanks sir keep it up and keep safe
How do you perform the "Ramp Up" shot? What settings, devices etc do I need to pull that off?👀
speed ramp. You can actually do it using a free editing app VN: ruclips.net/video/Gp_XHj68z4A/видео.html
Does the Zhiyun Smooth 4 gimbal handle the weight of the phone and lens well even if it is above the maximum payload?
It can do but you have to use counter weights and then you are putting a strain on the motors - so the answer is yes but personally wouldn’t recommend
How do you transition something shot on anamorphic, and then telephoto lens?
Hi Cassius, I have seen you talk about preparation in many of your videos. What can someone who doesn’t know how to draw can do for story board
I would recommend an app called storyboard quick - it allows you to take pics on location and then add people etc into the shot - it’s very useful and quick - hence the title of the app - also some people (and I’ve done this as well) just write a shot list with the script - as long as you break down each scene with a shot list that covers the scene it’s not absolutely necessary to have a storyboard
How did you build the hand rail ?
Hi, trying to find a video you did with Hackney Quest on the time of the Hackney riot. It called "Change"#, my son and few teenagers with you did an amazing job. Can you help me ? Tank you. Monica
Email me hello@gofilmit.tv and I’ll see if I can trace it for you
What are the grips on the bottom of your gimbal please.
I built it my self
is the result different using dual handle help
for me it does help and gives much more fluidity to the movements
Where do you get the monopod from?
Anytips for setting focus on moving subjects with Filmic pro. Started shooting simple performance music videos and there is a lot of movement. Many thanks.
I always shoot pulling focus on the movement and action whilst recording. I time the movements and block out the actions and then rehearse it by pulling focus manually
@@gomakefilms thanks so much, will give this a try.
Hi I wanted to know where I could get one of those hats from? Do you sell merchandise? I love your hats! Please send me a link if you’re selling them. Thank you.
thank you - its in the pipeline to launch some very unique t-shirts and the gofilm it logo hats later this year - follow me on instagram and you'll know as soon as its launched instagram.com/gofilmit
