Really appreciate ya'lls videos. Great job so far! So how did your blueberry bushes do in their first year? Would you change anything about how you did this? What varieties did you plant?
I really appreciate you supporting the channel! Well... I'm not sure, the deer have given our blueberries a fit eating on them, so I'm not sure how they could look if they had a chance to grow 🤔 the varieties are: climax, premier, powder blue, brightwell, and Columbus
How are your blueberries doing? I tried a search of your videos but this seems to be the only one. I have cuttings started that I purchased online and they are doing good so far.
Hello, i would like to know how your disc filter worked for you during the summer, I'm trying to decide if I should go with a disc filter or a sand filter...very interesting design would live to see it work
I would do some research on what varieties are best suited for your area, find someone who grows them and taste test them. That's what we did to choose ours
Hi !!! I`m like your video about blueberry planting. I have a question - you use a pine tree bark for mulch. Is this bark expensive? How much can cost this truck of pine bark? Can I use a pine tree of saw dust instead of pine tree bark?
I don't suppose you would have any video of that filter working would you? that looks like it might be the ticket for me, we like to water 10 acres at a time on drip with a 4-in line at the head, but we have a problem with silt would these filters work for that? sorry for all the questions
@@EarlybirdFarmSC actually... the deer kept them pruned back so far they never did very good and we lost the lease on that farm. I didn't even dig them up when we left.
@@CherryHillFarm Dang sorry to hear that. I worry about that if I do it too. I just subbed so hadn’t check current videos yet. Are you farming anything now?
Cherry Hill Farm Awesome! We’re working with our Extension Agent to explore crops for our 6-acre farm. Strawberries and blueberries look like really good options. Thanks for sharing all the content.
как приятно когда семья вся трудится 🥰

The farm my blueberries were on was rented and it's growing houses now unfortunately. Best of luck on yours tho!
@@CherryHillFarm Awe, so sorry to hear that. I like your vids and became a subscriber. Thanks for the reply!

I would definitely recommend automatic disk filters over sand filters, much easier to maintain
I am looking at doing at blueberry & blackberry pick. Do you recommend any certain blueberry varieties to grow for pick?

I really have no idea, I would call your local mulch yard. I'm sure it's doubled in price since I did mine.

Question: did you just disc the dirt first before bedding it or how did you prep it?
I chisel plowed it, then disc, then bedded

@@EarlybirdFarmSC yes we wide open. Check out the latest videos
Can i grow it in very hot climate (summer temperature upto 50°C and heatwave) in irrigated land.
I would think so, the main thing with blueberries is they don't like too much water.
@@CherryHillFarm thnx
what was the spacing that you used between the blueberry plants and the rows?
The rows are 10 ft apart (so it's easier to mow) and the plants are 5 ft apart in the row
Whats a good price for buying blueberry bushes? The lowest I've found so far is $8. Just didn't know if I needed to keep digging
Check with Finches blueberry Farm. Also Nourse Farms. We planted 2 year old bare root cutoffs to save money. Thanks for watching!
Haven't seen an update on these. How'd they fair?
Not well, the deer kept them mowed down to nubs
@@CherryHillFarm ah dang. sorry to hear it
Need workers for farming?
When will those bushes produce berries?
Next year will be our first picking
