This is from a concept album so it's a bit out of context. Still an amazing song. The Crimson Idol is, to this day, still one of my top records. Great story, songwriting and vocals about the rise and fall of a rockstar.
@@nathantorresstanevil6958 It's a fictitious story but I believe when he wrote it he said it was semi-autobiographical or at least contained elements that were true to his own life.
W.A.S.P. is a really REALLY underrated band in my opinion. i would highly suggest listening to chainsaw charlie, or some newer stuff like babylons burning. you cant go wrong with W.A.S.P. man
WASP is probably my favourite band after IroN Maiden the band is actually better in the second half of their career IMO compared to the first half (From Headless Children on). The song you reacted to is from Crimson Idol my favorite WASP album. Check out the Albums Headess Children, Crimson Idol, Unholy Terror, Dying For The World and the First Self Titled album.
I am so glad you reacted to w.a.s.p..I would recommend you to listen to the whole album because it's a consept album..Seeing Blackie Lawless and co live is just magical ☺❤
WOAH W.A.S.P Cool Band Billy, my parents listens to this band back in mid-80's That band was the coooolest rank the highest top of the heavy metal bands Sure we like to go back to the 80's Listen to all of the heavy metal bands of all the songs we can play our guitars and crank up the volume and have the biggest wildest heavy metal party on the world 🤘🎸🤘Billy, Keep on Rockin Rockstar Bro 🤘 🎸🤟
When I bought this CD and listened that solo may me cry. There was so much emotion and feeling the hair on the back of my neck stood up. Bob Kulick the guitar player is one of my favorite guitar players RIP Bob you are missed. His brother Bruce was the guitar player in Kiss.
If I were being honest, where I heard this song, I heard the acoustic version first, with Blackie Lawless and Johnny Rod singing, and it was awesomely done, so I listened to the full song, and here we are. This band never miss man
As stated below you have to listen to the whole album (The Crimson Idol) . It tells the story of Johnathan. An abused runaway that finds everything he ever wanted except the one thing he needed. Queensryche: Operation Mind Crime is another album that tells a full story. Both are worth listening to front to back. Secondly, even though this is technically a WASP album, its really a Blackie Lawless Album, he wanted to release it independently from what I had read, but the record company packaged it as a WASP album even though the only member of WASP that is actually on the Album is Blackie. Everyone else is studio musicians that have been in other bands.
Wasp was one of the bands attacked by the P.M.R.C. in the 80's . Their name W.A.S.P. stands for we are sexual perverts (or so that's the gimmick they used) because they have some very nasty songs like, "I F#CK LIKE A BEAST" and "95 Nasty". I believe this song may reflect how all the years of playing such dark music has affected Blackie Lawless(singer). Check out a new song of theirs called "Golgotha" because it seems like a deep cry out to Jesus.
Harder...Faster. It was written for their Live album so there’s no studio version. The over 7 minute version includes Blackie talking before the song. ruclips.net/video/CASxmt8CC7g/видео.html
This song is off the masterpiece "The Crimson Idol" by WASP. The song is about a man that finds out that fame is an illusion! Another great listen is "The Great Misconception of Me" by WASP. Early WASP was more of a "shock rock" band. As Blackie Lawless got older his song writing and recording techniques became more sophisticated.
You should react to W.A.S.P. - Golgotha, a very powerful song and a must watch video. Blackie is one of the best singers but never gets the credit he deserves. Cheers from Australia.
Some may not agree with me and I’m no one too talk politics. How ever after what has occurred this election ,and how Mr Trump was treated and we the people.how ever this song made me think of no matter how many hate or like this man.and a man he still is. This song made me see both sides and how He really may feel behind his feelings and what if he has broken that silence in our country.we can all admit it has been a long time coming.and were is the love.this man has been falsely accused so mabey he’s feeling this way after so many abandoned him.how ever I won’t abandon my worst enemies.if it real comes too it

how bout these songs, all from Sabaton 40:1 (how a Polish force of 720 units held 3 DAYS against 40,000 Germans in 1939) Uprising (dark) (how the Polish people of Warsaw stood up to the Nazis inmate 4859 (very dark) (how a Polish guy named Witold Pilecki went into Auschwitz, infiltrated it and went out, mad innit, than he was shot by Communists under false claim of working with rebellious factions or something like that, one of his last sentances was "what they did to me in Auschwitz was a walk in the park compared to the Communists" winged Hussars (how the Polish army under the lead of Jan III Sobieski, John for you English speakers. defeated a MASSIVE Ottoman army in the battle of Vienna) yes I kno, all about Poland but what can you do when theyre just sick, and when youre a Pole beg you listen to them

React to "Golgotha" by W.A.S.P. it's an amazing song...
One of the best concept albums of all times. Not a big seller because of the band name. Blackie killed it here.
blackie lawless has always been a very underrated singer and song writer.this is a great song .im guessin its about him.
It's about the character in their concept album the crimson idol. You have to listen from start to finish to understand it tho.
wasp is complicated , try 'heavens hung in black'
