Thank you for these videos. I am going to be running for sheriff in 2026 and my disadvantage is I've only recently moved to my county 3 years ago. So I'm not politically connected and don't know a lot of people, but I love this county. I have 28 years of law enforcement experience, but how can I reach people who don't know me since I'm the "new guy in town"? It is going to be very difficult to get people to join my team since most of my associates live in other counties.
@@gfifield28 you have to reach out to the stakeholders-leadership in the law enforcement community, political party leadership, the office holders in your community in one on one conversations and sell them on your ideas, vision, and plans to improve the sheriff’s office. Having the support of some influential people from these communities will enhance your chances of winning. There is a video I posted a while back…How to Run for Sheriff. If
You can make up for that with your passion for a cause, and it’s not too late to volunteer for something. Some charitable cause, registering students to vote, or service organization that provide help to people who need it. J
