God cannot be converted into a man, or into anything else. - Rather, I believe that God, by His own power, assumed a human nature. When I say "Jesus", I am refering to the hypostatic union between The Divine Nature and a human nature, which is why I can say, without any internal contradiction, that Jesus is God. He subsists in these two natures. - As an analogy, consider the following. A human nature is itself a union between a spiritual nature (the soul) and a bodily nature (the body). I believe we agree on this. - Of course, this analogy is imperfect - and it should be. There is no analogy that corresponds directly to God, since God above anything that we can conceive. But we, Christians, believe that He united Himself to a human nature because He revealed that to us. Whether your believe in that revelation is another matter, but I hope that my comment helps illustrate that this position is entirely internally consistent. == About the Doctrine of the Blessed Trinity == - I would start by emphasising that revelation comes first. As for abortion, it is allowed if the pregnancy or birth can cause death of the mother, so you are still saving a life. Life begins really at 4 months, when the baby gets a soul while in the womb. So there is no real loss of life if it’s terminated before that time period. But you can’t do it for trivial reasons like you are selfish or lack of money etc. So no contradiction here. My question is why your country has no rule of law? It’s rated one of the most corrupt nations in the world. They incarcerate people without evidence. Maybe you can help bring more attention to that in your country.

We completely agree that the Divine Essence does not change. The doctrine of the Incarnation does not posit any such change. In fact, one question that can be asked is how can God be in relation to us, without Him changing, since we begin to exist. As St. Thomas Aquinas writes, "Every relation which we consider between God and the creature is really in the creature, by whose change the relation is brought into being". This is from his Summa Theologiae, Part III, Question 2, Article 7. Highly recommended btw. Here is an analogy. Although keep in mind all analogies are imperfect when talking about God - which is, of course, expected. Nothing created, including analogies, can represent God, since God is uncreated. But the analogy is still a little bit helpful. Say Alice is 30 years old and Bob is 10. Alice is taller than Bob now, but she is done growing. In 10 years, Alice is shorter than Bob. Did Alice change? No. But how can this be? Before she was taller, and now she is shorter than Bob? Well, obviously, because Bob changed! But notice we can now posit different things about Alice, without her changing. At the Incarnation, the second person of the Blessed Trinity assumed a human nature, but did not change in his divine essence. When you tell them about their Injeel (bible) they always try to go Mary go around, bush around here and their, do not answer, move on different topic or just go to Quran why answer from your own Injeel (bible) first why they cannot answer? I would say that it is important to understand each other before going further. Let me articulate my perspective.
== About abortion ==
- Perhaps someone will clarify the Islamic position on abortion. If I understood correctly, in Islam abortion is allowed in some cases or rape. However, this is contradictory to the idea of choosing the lesser evil, since killing a human is always worst than suffering through the pregnancy.
== About whether the soul is "inside or outside" the body? (false dichotomy) ==
- In the section that was cut out of the video, we briefly discussed whether the soul is inside the body or outside.
- Respectfully, my view is that asking this question is a fallacy, being a false dichotomy.
- Since the soul is not phisical, it does not have a physical location, somehow constrained by the 3 physical dimensions (height, depth, width). So, I would respectfully say it is fallacious to claim both that it is inside the body, and that it is outside the body. It simply has no phisical relation to the body.
- However, the soul is united to the body (via a mechanism known to God) to create a human person.
== About the Incarnation of God ==
- I believe that God became man, and that Jesus is God. When I said "God did not become anything" in the video I was referring to the Divine Essence being unchanging. But I most certainly believe that God became man.
- Let me tell you what I mean by that statement.
- I do NOT mean that God was somehow converted into a man, like ice becomes water when it is melted. Not at all. Like the majority of Christians, I adhere to the doctrine of Divine Simplicity. As such, we believe God's nature is unchangeable. God cannot be converted into a man, or into anything else.
- Rather, I believe that God, by His own power, assumed a human nature. When I say "Jesus", I am refering to the hypostatic union between The Divine Nature and a human nature, which is why I can say, without any internal contradiction, that Jesus is God. He subsists in these two natures.
- As an analogy, consider the following. A human nature is itself a union between a spiritual nature (the soul) and a bodily nature (the body). This is the essence of a human being, the unity of soul and body. Say John is a person, i.e. an instantiation of a human nature. When I say John, am I referring to John's body, or to John's soul? Well, I am neither referring only to John's body (I say "John's body" to only refer to the body), nor only to John's soul. Rather, I am referring to the union between his body and his soul.
- In this scenario, is there an internal contradiction in saying "John is going to die", considering that the soul cannot experience phisical death (since the soul is spiritual, not physical)? No, there is no contradiction, since it is clear I am referring to the death of John's body. This is despite the fact that, "John's body" is not in fact John. It is "John's body". John is a union between John's body and John's soul.
- So, analogously to how the spiritual nature is united to the bodily nature to make up a human nature, Jesus is the union between The (one and only) Divine Nature and a (created) human nature. So, did Jesus feel pain? Did He die? Did He need care? Yes, in His human nature. Is Jesus God? Absolutely, since His human nature is hypostatically united to the Word of God. So, if I saw the face of Jesus now, I can say, without any internal contradiction, that I am seeing the face of God.
- The mechanism by which the Word of God subsists in two natures that make one _indivisible_ person is not known to us - but God is omnipotent, He can do whatever He choses. I believe we agree on this.
- Of course, this analogy is imperfect - and it should be. There is no analogy that corresponds directly to God, since God above anything that we can conceive. But we, Christians, believe that He united Himself to a human nature because He revealed that to us. Whether your believe in that revelation is another matter, but I hope that my comment helps illustrate that this position is entirely internally consistent.
== About the Doctrine of the Blessed Trinity ==
- I would start by emphasising that revelation comes first. The Bible mentions the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and assigns Divine attributes to all of them. It also proclaims their unity, and specifies a distinction between them by relation - but not by essence. This is Revelation. I believe the doctrine of the Blessed Trinity is true because it is coherent with Revelation.
- The Blessed Trinity is a statement about the inner life of the One God I believe in. A statement about something going on in the mind of God, if you will - but note that God is only a mind, He is not physical.
- The statement is: There are three persons who subsist within the inner life of God; they are truly distinct relationally, but not as a matter of essence, or nature. We should be careful what we mean by "person", mainly that which subsists with an intelligent nature. Please note that this is an entirely internally consistent doctrine. For a more detailed explanation, consider reading in the Summa Theologiae of St. Thomas Aquinas, first part, question 27 to question 43.

As for abortion, it is allowed if the pregnancy or birth can cause death of the mother, so you are still saving a life. Life begins really at 4 months, when the baby gets a soul while in the womb. So there is no real loss of life if it’s terminated before that time period. But you can’t do it for trivial reasons like you are selfish or lack of money etc. So no contradiction here.
My question is why your country has no rule of law? It’s rated one of the most corrupt nations in the world. They incarcerate people without evidence. Maybe you can help bring more attention to that in your country.

We completely agree that the Divine Essence does not change. The doctrine of the Incarnation does not posit any such change.
In fact, one question that can be asked is how can God be in relation to us, without Him changing, since we begin to exist. As St. Thomas Aquinas writes, "Every relation which we consider between God and the creature is really in the creature, by whose change the relation is brought into being". This is from his Summa Theologiae, Part III, Question 2, Article 7. Highly recommended btw.
Here is an analogy. Although keep in mind all analogies are imperfect when talking about God - which is, of course, expected. Nothing created, including analogies, can represent God, since God is uncreated. But the analogy is still a little bit helpful. Say Alice is 30 years old and Bob is 10. Alice is taller than Bob now, but she is done growing. In 10 years, Alice is shorter than Bob. Did Alice change? No. But how can this be? Before she was taller, and now she is shorter than Bob? Well, obviously, because Bob changed! But notice we can now posit different things about Alice, without her changing.
At the Incarnation, the second person of the Blessed Trinity assumed a human nature, but did not change in his divine essence. The only real change took place in his human nature, which received infinite dignity in and through the hypostatic union.

My question is which scripture is consistent with one message (to follow one God), and which faith and believe have all earlier prophets (pbu all of them) in their scripture.
Their is only one faith and believe which is consistent with earlier scripture and prophets (pbu all of them) i.e. Quran and Islam. We believe one God not trinity etc, and we believe in all prophets (pbu all of them). And most importantly the allah (god)clearly told and claimed that this is final mesage in the form of scripture (Quran) and Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh) is the last prophet, their will be no more scripture and prophet, in Christianity and Jewish scripture do not clearly told or claimed by the allah (god) that this is final mesage, scripture and prophethood but only (Quran) ask yourself why it's only mentioned in Quran because allah (god) is clearly told and claimed it.
Moreover the prophecies are coming true that Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh) predicted and Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh predicted about end times just remember we have very little time now as Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh) predicted do not waste your this very low time, come to the truth which is very clearly and simply told by the allah (god) that is Islam (Quran) and the followings of Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh) the last prophet.
Submit to one and only worthy of worship allah (god), following the (Quran) and believing in the last prophet Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh) (not worshipping any prophets (pbu all of them) but following their teaching) and following the teachings of the last prophet Muhammad (s.a.w., pbuh).
May allah forgive me if anything thing I said is wrong, or goes against allah, Quran or our beloved prophet.
