I'm one of those Mavs fans you mentioned. Never again while Nico has a job. I was a season ticket holder for a decade and a half and watched many games before then, including the awful 90s at Reunion Arena.
I went to all three Finals. I went to Dirk's last game in Dallas and Dirk's last game (overall) in San Antonio. It's been my mom and I's special thing for most of my life.
I dropped my season tickets. I feel bad for the players. But Nico destroyed the legacy the Mavs built with their stars: "Loyalty Never Fades Away". He insulted our young star as he kicked him down the street to the villain franchise of the league for a fraction of his open market value.
Him lucking into the number one pick doesn't rewind time. I hope Flagg is great. I hope he doesn't trade Flagg. But Nico clearly does not care about the Mavs as a franchise. A franchise that will exist well beyond his tenure. And what he has done will hurt our reputation for a while.
Edit: It's also worth noting, he alienated Dirk from the franchise. That's unforgivable to long time Mavs fans, even if fans from other franchises don't care.
Stop being butthurt. Mavs with Flagg and AD will be way way better than with Luka. And nobody cares about loyalty. If Lebron stuck with Cavs because of loyalty he'd have 0 rings

Everyone, and I mean everyone, asked “how could they possibly have made this Luka trade? There was no explanation. Days later people forced an explanation but we all knew it was just bullshit.
Forget the return, which was historically awful, they didn’t even shop him at all and pulled it off on a weekend in the middle of the night…. It was always suspect.
Well now we know the answer to that impossible question. Dallas was promised Flagg. I just don’t understand how you could see it any other way. They got Luka to the Lakers when the league was going through an absolute ratings catastrophe and every new story was about the NBA dying. It was the rip-cord and Adam Silver pulled it.

Dude I am a knicks fan and was crazy happy just celebrating, then the tatum injury happened it ruined the whole night. Knicks bench was even clapping and celebrating tatum getting off the court, that does not happen unless someone is seriously hurt. Shoot crowd was in such a weird mood we didn't even celebrate Kat being subbed out. This went from being something NY earned to just a sad night for the Celtics. This is just confusing even for a Knicks fan kinda ruins the rest of this series and next year.

I think Wemby is such an anomaly that sports podcasters often overlook him. Not saying they should, but he’s such a unicorn that people don’t even include him in their lists, because it’s incredibly rare that a guy who’s 7’6” can dribble, shoot, and defend.
