    Our Rating System:
We are both firm believers that it is unjust to review and rate an album after only hearing it one or two times therefore our method for reviews is much different than everyone else on RUclips.
Our review process starts off with a "listening session" where we hear the entire album from beginning to end, uninterrupted. We then post a video with our initial thoughts and opinions of the album. Over the course of a week we will each listen to the album as many times as we can, analyzing and critiquing it. Then at the end of the week we will post our full and final review of the album which will include our ratings.
Our scoring method is unique to this channel as well. We each rate the album out of 10 but anything 8 and above simply just gets our Toe Tag. In order for an album to make it onto the list above it must receive Two Toe Tags. It if only gets one or none then it does not make our coveted list.
Any album that receives Two Toe Tags is considered a top quality album of elite status and highly recommended by both of us. Be sure to Subscribe and turn on Notifications so you will always be in the loop with all the awesome metal we review!
NOTICE: This is not a news/info channel. We are not a RUclips version of Wikipedia for the bands that we discuss. I've liked both singles so far but for me This one caught my ear more so than Vortex and has made me really excited for Wallflowers.
I also don't think Tatiana get's enough credit as a lyricist. I'm definitely guilty of it. But she has a way of painting metaphors with extremely specific imagery, and I've never heard anything like it.
I mean "The best way to make a kettle boil, is to turn your back on this". WHAT!?
What a clever way of saying "don't ignore what's happening in the world" and likening it to the adage of a watched pot never boils

Absolutely, the lyrics on this song are fucking poetic and emotional as shit and the way she presents them while singing is masterfully theatrical too.

This new album is gonna be so good. You can tell there's a more classical element to the songwriting on the last two tracks, like the song structure is telling the story. Vortex starts high and descends into sludge while feeling like a swirling death ride and this one starts sad like you said and changes tenor halfway through, it lays the groove for the end and every couple phrases adds to the intensity and ends in a blowoff. There's so much intention and attention to the details about making the music tell as much of a story as the lyrics.

This song was a bit hard for me to get into in the first listens, because of so many twists and changes it had. Now it gets better every time I listen to it,I am sure it will grow on you too!

  • @abentevent

I remember a few years back before they blew up with pisces, the consensus on review sites on jinjer and "king of everything" is that the music was bland and that Tatyana's clean vocals were too "squeely". I was pretty sure we weren't listening to the same album.
This feels like a giant middle finger in the face of anyone who's ever written them off and I love it.

Vlad is a monster musician and composer. One of the things that makes Jinjer sound so unique is his ability to make their sound “swing” and breathe, even when playing blast beats or straight ahead thrash. A lot of that is rooted in how often he has that eight or sixteenth note pulse going with his left foot on the hi hat underneath everything else that is happening, especially when there is a polyrhythm or poly meter. There’s a grooviness to their music that just feels different.

Don't get me wrong every member of this band talent level is through the roof, but these first 2 tracks there's just so many guitar riffs it's insane.i kinda felt like "Macro"the just told the drummer to start jamming and they wrote the guitars and bass around him just laying down some beats.these first 2 singles it kinda feels the same but they just decided to explore every possible chord of each chord of the song along with every type of drum fill you can do for each chord lol.hope it gets more down to earth from here!I think they need another picses or something like it.

I feel like and hope so Jinjer is going to be the second band getting a two two tag with two consecutive albums. They are so uniqe, heavy but melodical, tight but technical as fuck. They always bring something new to the table, always putting different subgenres in one song and somehow it always works. I hope the album will slay.
