Interesting to note that the tune Wanderer I used to play on the family player piano years ago and the arrangement was identical. The maker of the roll was as I remember Meloto ( ? ) which were regarded as making very high quality rolls.
Fantastic! Love this organ and great to hear these great old marches. Under the banner of victory, Von Blon and I think no 3 is actually The Bullfighters march by Kottaun. Many thanks. Thoroughly enjoyed it👍
@ well I never! That would be the ex whites gavi then. I first heard this piece on the famous marches album where it was indeed mislabelled. I’ve just looked up the Bullfighters march, kottaun and it’s similar but absolutely not this piece. Thank you for pointing that out👍
@ never! You can’t have too many marches! And Blaze Away was a treat! This is the piece that first got me hooked on fair organs. I heard it on the gallopers at Dreamland amusement park about 1964. This Gavioli plays it superbly! By the way What are the names of the conductress and the tambourine shakers? I know they’re named after classical goddesses but cannot make out the names from the films . 👍
No 2 is A wandering vagabond am I. I used to know all the words but the last line is ‘just let me wander, the countryside to ponder, A wandering vagabond am I.

I love the figures playing the tamborines along with the snare drum that is totally unique! :)
Indeed - this is the only organ I have ever seen them on!
3:24 : Wanderer (Flanagan)
Thank you Tom!

No.3 is the Galop Medley, it was mis-titled on a certain well known record!

@@PeterMackett Also mis-titled on the Wonderland Vol.1 cassette!
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the selection of tunes, I had worried the video was perhaps a bit too march-heavy, lol.

Thank you very much :)
Arthur Prinsen sent me a bill for music books for this organ. He had got the wrong Mr Bailey....
