RIP Sebastian Shaw. He did a good job as dying Anakin even though he only had 24 words of dialogue and a minute or two of screen time. A tough pair of shoes to step into taking over from David Prowse's physical presence and the voice of James Earl Jones. All three are gone now. :(
They explained it in a humorous comic once. Better railing or even closed shafts would have raised the cost of the Death Star by 10 to 30 %. The Emperor commented that he would have Vader with him at all times while on the Death Star so no one would sneak up on him and throw him down such a shaft. In the same comic they explained that they had only half as many defences on that exhaust port of the first Death Star before the Emperor pointed out that weakness. Tarkin made a comment that there wasn't a pilot in the galaxy able to make that shot and corrected himself with 'except Lord Vader of course' when Vader cleared his throat.
Not to the reactor. It's a shaft to the bottom of the tower, that we can see earlier in the movie right after Han jumps into hyperspace with the imperial shuttle, and 3 TIE fighter doing a flyby. And the explosion represents the release of all the Dark Side power of the Emperor.
44:54 I just loved this comment. You're absolutely right, Emma. In space, you can't fall down. I never really thought about it watching this scene. Sound doesn't travel in space, either. But with no sound effects, it would just be too weird for the viewers.
24:22. Awesome scene. Them battling on the speeders in the forest is damn good. The whole battle there is so nostalgic and cool. And the "Ewoks are legendary. The first one they show I had the toy,it had movable arms head and legs. I also had the "Jedi Knight Luke and Darth Vader with the same movable parts as a kid. ✨️👏
I remember this movie with such affection. 1983. A group of high school students go to see the film in Cape Town. Two are Americans, three South Africans. One of the former, David, died very young a few years ago. We arrived just as the previous viewing exited the cinema. Everyone seemed silent, almost shocked. I remembered the rumours I’d heard: that almost everyone would not make it. One dissident voice, a friend called Richard (who later became a film director), had suggested that Vader would change sides. I thought it was unlikely. Then we saw the movie…For those of us who later became political in South Africa, this movie suggested something of how people could change their positions, be converted (to use a theological term). That’s why, although ESB is technically better, this film has a special place in my heart. From the first movie in childhood to the beginning of adulthood, this trilogy was part of my life. Cannot but love it.
Darth Vader needed the suit to live (you will understand it more with the prequels), and without the suit only his rage and anger could keep him alive. When he came back to the light, with the suit circuits broken by dark force lightnings, there wasn´t chance to survive.
IV, V and Vi...are my best movies from all Star Wars...and the music will forever move me...Please listen to Gustav Holst "The Planet"...and also Richard Wagner...you will recognize John Williams's inspiration and visions.
Star Wars episode 6 Return Of Jedi is my favorite star wars movie. Luke Skywalker is my favorite jedi and my favorite lightsaber is luke skywalker green lightsaber. ❤👍🏻✨
10:42 one of the many Star Wars toys I had as a kid in the late 80s was that monster from Jabba's basement! I also had Han, Luke, 3CPO, Frozen Han, etc.! 🙂
Out Of All The Star Wars Movie's,This Is My Favorite One,Thanks for Doing a Reaction Sweetheart ❤, I Really Enjoyed Seeing Your Reactions To All These Great Movies 😊
You make me laugh. You say "oh they're so sweet, so cute, the robots have feelings", then you turn around and say" kill that bastard". You go from innocence to vengeance in two seconds. Keep on reacting
its BECAUSE she has those affectionate (not innocent) feelings to one character that she turns to vengeful feelings to the other. thats how human emotions work
When reacting to this movie, I always bring up my most favorite line of all the movies I ever watched in my entire life, to everybody, especially to you: “I am a Jedi, like my father before me”. That was a great reaction! Thank you! Looking forward to your next reaction. Salutations from Romania …
10:02 -Bib Fortuna: " Master, Luke Skywalker, Jedi Knight" I always love to see Luke's presentation before Jabba, he makes a small bow, I imagine the Jedis of the Old Republic when they visited the great Lords of the Galaxy or when they had to carry out some errand.
I think of the original trilogy Empire Strikes Back was my Favorite, but this was a close second! This one had the emotional struggle that fulfilled all 3 movies. Love it!
Wonderful to see you back! I was too young to see these films in the theater but I do have VHS tapes of the original theatrical editions. Your joy and wonder is a fresh thing to see right now.
1. Best guess is that Han was Jabba's "trophy" for about a year and a half before the rescue. 2. Vader discovered Leia as Luke's sister because he could feel it through Luke. Luke didn't know that until just before then. 3. Luke's light saber is green because he lost his old one along with his hand so they decided to make it green because it worked better in the desert background landscape. 4. Everybody is freaking out because Luke and Leia kissed mostly because she was trying to piss off Han. They didn't know they are related. 5. The "I love you. I know" was written into the script to get Leia the shot to say it to Han. 6. This was Warrick Davis'/Lead Ewok first acting gig. He was only 13. "Willow" is his lead with Val Kilmer and worth a first time/share. 7. Awesome camera work with the race through the forest. Nobody in their right mind would go that fast. 8. Carrie Fisher said in her biography that the most satisfying part in her Star Wars experience was choking out Jabba. 9. Jedi is plural. With Luke and Leia leading the way they can reestablish the Jedi back into the galaxy. 10. Ford wanted Han to die in the last episode. 11. IMVHO this is the best of the original 6 George Lucas Star Wars. After the first six he sold it to Disney, and everything changed. Sadly 12. RIP James Earl Jones😇
Seeing your reaction to these movies made me remember how I felt when I first saw them. Thank you so much for that feeling! You are very talented, as well as very beautiful...
If you remember Emma, in episode IV C-3PO said that "he is not very good at telling stories". In Episode VI, he fully captivates an audience with his story telling.
Episode IV: A New Hope [Meanwhile, in the Death Star's command center, Darth Vader is Force choking Admiral Motti....] Vader: "I find your lack of faith disturbing." Tarkin: "Enough of this! Vader, release him." Vader [releasing Motti]: "As you wish." Tarkin: "What?! You love me?! What kind of Sith are you?!!" 😳
I like your reaction to Star Wars: Episode IV - Return of the Jedi to conclude the original Star Wars trilogy. I can't wait to see more of your movie reactions. Thanks again!
IMHO auditors need to watch this in the order we watched them... If they want to rewatch them in a different order as some have done ... Go for it... People need to stop telling others how to do things.. 🙄😉
I'm pretty sure nobody who suggests the Machete order used it on their first viewing. And there is no reason to skip Episode 1, even if Darth Binks is annoying. There are simply too many references to it in Episode 2, that make no sense if you skip it. Skipping movies on your rewatches is a completely different thing ofc.
💜🖐 Emma, great reaction! Now you have to watch the Prequels, 1-3! You will see this entire legendary story from its beginning! Then you will understand what a magnificent iconic Saga Star Wars is! Hi ... 🖐💜
Great as always beautiful ❤ hope you will watch them many times as we have. Now onto the prequels... This is where the fun begins 😉❤ i think we need to see you in Leia's wardrobe she was wearing for Jabba 🔥😁😎
David Prowse, the man in the Vader suit, stood six feet and six inches. He was also a bodybuilder and former Mr Universe! The character of Darth Vader in the lore was seven feet in height.
Fun Fact the Ewok Wicket who finds Leah is played by Warwick Davis who also plays Willow, A Goblin in Harry Potter the one that asks if he has a key, the Leprechaun in the Leprechaun movies, also in Harry Potter he is professor Filius Flitwick, also in Harry Potter Deathly Hallows part 1 he isGriphook, in narnia prince Caspin movie he isNikabrik...
I was 13 years old in 1977 when I saw Star Wars and 16 years old in 1980 when I saw Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. I was 19 years old in 1983 when I saw Episode VI The Return of The Jedi. Everyone was shocked i the Movie Theatre when it was revealed that Princess Leia was Lukes Twin Sister. Anakin Skywalker was The Jedi who returned. Luke hinted at that when he told the Emperor that he was a Jedi like his father before him. Everyone in the Movie Theatre cheered when Darth Vader picked up the Emperor and through him down the shaft. In the original version Darth Vader did not say no before picking up the Emperor. He just silently looked back in forth before picking him up. In the original Annakin's Force Ghost was portrayed by the older actor who was in the Darth Vader suit. They switched to the younger version after the Star Wars Prequels.
I was 2 years old in 1978 when I first saw the first Star Wars film. I didn't see the second one until 20-something years later. And this one, the third one, a while after that.
So with the conclusion of this Film, a highly enjoyable/witty/fun/uplifting and heartwarming trio of live Stream reaction Films in the presence of the winsome/captivating/charming/sincere and beautiful Emma came to a close; And I owe Emma a huge/heartfelt and genuine spasiba, for organizing the showings; As for the Film itself, it was an action packed blast across the Cosmos; Starting with a explosive beginning with Jabba the Hutt; Luke Skywalker and the Princess discovering that they are brother and sister; We meet the Ewoks for the first time and the part that they will play as the dark side is confronted; Luke and his recently discovered Father Darth Vader spar with each other as Vader attempts to turn him too the dark side; With the Death Star destroyed, the Dark empire is defeated; During all the action and mayhem on Screen, Emma is giving a heartwarming/volshebnyy/witty/iskreniy/iskusno/clever and wonderful reaction, as well as being just stunningly beautiful. 🦅🥰😘❤🙏🙏👏👍🎶🎵🎶🎧🎙🍵💐🍁🍁🦅.
Actually Anakin was only 45 or 46 when he died, not that old but with what his body has been through and the corruption of the dark side he definitely looks rough.
Favorite phrase? Oh, in general for the franchise, it must of course be "I've got a BAD feeling about this..." For the prior movie: "It's not my fault!" (heard from both Han Solo, and later, Lando Calrissian) In this one, it's the exchange: "How we doin'?" "Same as always." "That bad, huh?"
Thank you for reacting to these great films, Emma, they're excellent. I'm looking forward to seeing the prequels starting from episode 1, 'Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace'. 🙂
Fun fact: the reason Luke's saber is green in this one is because it was originally meant to be blue but since they did some filming in the desert, they realized the blade would blend in with the bright sunny skies and they needed another color that would contradict the background hence why we got what was seen onscreen.
Luke, speaking to Leia: "Our father, who aren't in heaven, Hollow be his helmet. His Empire come, his will be done. On Endor as it is on the Deathstar. Give us this day, our daily dread, And punish us for our trespasses, As we punish those who trespass against us. Lead us into temptation, And deliver us to evil. For thine is the Empire, The power of the dark side, For evil and ever. OMEN."
Hi Emma, The idea behind C-3PO is that he was modeled after a proper English butler. Anthony Daniels, in order to fit into the costume, has been on a diet almost his whole life.
Originally they were going to add another character as lukes brother. But they felt he wouldnt be accepted as well because of the already great dynamic between chewy, han, luke, and leigh. So they made Leigh, Luke's twin sister in this movie.
I never heard of that, but at one point there was going to be another trilogy made in the late '80s, where Luke's sister would've been an entirely new character named Nellith. But George Lucas was both creatively exhausted and on the verge of a divorce at the time, so he decided to make Luke & Leia the siblings, intending to end the saga with Episode VI. That remained the case for over 30 years, until Disney decided to do their own pathetic continuations.
Space primitive Teddy bears vs Space advanced Empire. I bet that the Ewok that stole the speeder bike had the best time in his life at that moment. Even though he couldn't handle the technology.
This new Death Star is bigger than the first -260 km diam instead of 160. The Empire needed lots of slaves to build it faster. C3PO is designed to understand humanoids so he can show some feelings, it's more of an imitation although they are conscious that not everyone treats droids well... and are legitimately afraid for their own existance. The Emperor's actor uses Japanese theatre voice projection techniques to sound so menacing. Jedi typically build themselves a lightsaber once they complete their basic training, the one they'll hopefully use for the rest of the lheir life. Vader's suit is vulnerable to the Emperor's lighting. To touch him, Vader needed a distraction, his son was the ideal distraction. Good observation on the ship's fall, however we could assume that they lost propulsion and attitude control and that the ship was deviated and with no mean to correct this deviation, crashed into the Death Star II.
I love Revenge of the Sith which is my favourite and episode three of the series then I would have to say Empire strikes back which I loved your reaction of.
These are three movies that were just fine as they were, meaning they did not need to be altered post-release. No one cared about or noticed minor visual effects details that George Lucas sought to fix, primarily just to sell ILM's capabilities for a new age of cinema. This was the first one where I was old enough to know Star Wars, anticipate the movie and understand everything when seeing it for the first time. It was a fun time of new characters and toys, but also knowing this was the end of the Star Wars as we knew it.
Bothans are a race. They were known for being exceptional spies, some of them infiltrated the Empire for the sake of the Rebellion. And probably the other way around too.
22:48 the scenes on Endor were filmed just outside of Humbolt Redwoods State Park here in the State of California! Not IN the State Park, as making this movie would have left trash behind....but on private land adjacent to it! The area was cleared for lumber soon after filming, but if you go to Humbolt Redwoods State Park, Jedediah Smith Redwoods State Park, and Grizzly Creek Redwoods State Park, you will a very similar forest! 🙂 There is actually one part of the movie that WAS filmed in the state park. When they show the point of view of the speeder operators, that was filmed out the back of a truck driving through a place called Avenue of the Giants, in Humbolt Redwoods State Park. 🙂
And when you have watch prequels, look then Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It´s end where first movie (Episode IV) start. And it´s best "new" Star Wars.
15:29 The guys in red are the Emperor's personal guards, they are never seen except when the Emperor is present. 23:00 The imperial troops on Endor are not Stormtroopers, they are Scouts. Their helmets and the backs of their armour are noticeably different.
Ewoks are cute af, but I'd rather hug Chewbacca (granted he's in a good mood). I also can't help but cheer when Leia chokes out Jabba with that chain. Side notes: 1. The creature that killed that Twi'lek (green woman with tentacles/tails on her head) slave and almost kills Luke inside that pit in Jabba's palace is called a rancor. 2. The scene at the Sarlacc pit was shot in my home state of Arizona in the middle of the Yuma desert, while the scenes on the forest moon of Endor were shot in the Redwood Forest of California. 3. If you're wondering why Yoda sounds like Miss Piggy, they had the same puppeteer/voice actor at the time: Frank Oz
As I said in another post on "A New Hope", which was the first movie I took my wife to when we were dating in 1978, then my wife got transferred to MCAS Yuma while the Navy transferred me NAF El Centro and we lived in Yuma. While there we watched The Empire Strikes back while at the same time they were building the sand cruiser in the sand dunes West of Yuma. Just a suggestion before you watch Episode 1, Watch Rogue One, A Star Wars Story.
RIP Sebastian Shaw.
He did a good job as dying Anakin even though he only had 24 words of dialogue and a minute or two of screen time.
A tough pair of shoes to step into taking over from David Prowse's physical presence and the voice of James Earl Jones. All three are gone now. :(
I like how the Emperor didnt ask the designer about why in his chamber exists an open shaft directly to the reactor)
Probably not his chamber, but an observation platform.
Hey, it was a rush job. That's what you get when you make the designer double the speed of construction.
Who said it actually was ?
Not to the reactor. It's a shaft to the bottom of the tower, that we can see earlier in the movie right after Han jumps into hyperspace with the imperial shuttle, and 3 TIE fighter doing a flyby.
And the explosion represents the release of all the Dark Side power of the Emperor.
I saw this movie 6 times when it came out. It will forever hold a special place in my heart

Loved seeing this in the theater. The sound was awesome and the space scenes were fantastic on the big screen.
"It is too late for me, son".
Anakin never wanted to be bad 😢
This is my personal favorite Star Wars movie. I know technically Empire is the best, but I've always loved this one.
That makes two of us
Star Wars has to be one of the greatest space adventures ever made.
The fact Vader is choking out his henchmen left and right is ruthless lol. Thanks again Emma. 🎉🎉🇨🇦
24:22. Awesome scene. Them battling on the speeders in the forest is damn good. The whole battle there is so nostalgic and cool. And the "Ewoks are legendary. Mark Hamill is famous for both playing Luke Skywalker and for voicing the Joker for over 30 years.

The Sarlacc pit was creepier when it was just mouth and tentacles and didn't have the extra worm head thing.

I always love to see Luke's presentation before Jabba, he makes a small bow, I imagine the Jedis of the Old Republic when they visited the great Lords of the Galaxy or when they had to carry out some errand.
Love how you recognize how much the music echoes emotions and themes throughout each movie
Chewbacca's chest item is called a bandolier, and is used to carry extra ammunition for his weapon (bowcaster).
Harrison Ford is such a good actor. Love his movies! You look stunning Emma!! 😍😍🥰🥰😘

15:49 And, as we know, when Vader says “As you wish”, he’s really saying “I love you”. 😂
He did actually hate emperor Palpatine as much as he hated himself.
Inconceivable!
Episode IV: A New Hope

Loved the journey through the original trilogy, my favorite, with you. You make watching these great movies even more fun!!!
So glad for you to appreciate the magic of this iconic space opera. My only regret for you is not seeing this in the Machete order - 4, 5, 2, 3, 6.
IMHO auditors need to watch this in the order we watched them... If they want to rewatch them in a different order as some have done ... Go for it... People need to stop telling others how to do things.. 🙄😉

A fittingly epic and emotional conclusion to the greatest trilogy.
"- it's too late for me, son!" a sad and tragic confession, from someone we thought was a heartless monster.. 💔
The novelization of this film makes it very clear thst Vader was proud of luke even if he wanted him to turn to thr darkside.
My favorite movie of all time.
💜🖐 Emma, great reaction!
Now you have to watch the Prequels, 1-3! You will see this entire legendary story from its beginning! Then you will understand what a magnificent iconic Saga Star Wars is! Hi ... 🖐💜
This is the most legend Jerry movie of them all.
Great as always beautiful ❤ hope you will watch them many times as we have. Now onto the prequels... This is where the fun begins 😉❤ i think we need to see you in Leia's wardrobe she was wearing for Jabba 🔥😁😎
The prequels tell the story about a kid called Anakin growing up, becoming a jedi but turning to the dark side. The music is great too.
I’ve got a bad feeling about this. 😊👏👏
I'm sure it is safe to say that I've watched episodes 3, 4, 5, & 6 at least fifty times now because they are just perfect.
The Emperor it´s not short at all. But Darth Vader, fully armored and with his boots and helmet on, he stood 2.03 m, or around 6'7" tall.
Over seven feet.
David Prowse, the man in the Vader suit, stood six feet and six inches. He was also a bodybuilder and former Mr Universe! The character of Darth Vader in the lore was seven feet in height.
So glad your Patreon is restored. I am now a "Box of Chocolates". Thrilled to see how quickly you are rebuilding.

Nice reaction Emma, still one of my favorites. 🧡❤️
Great review! And you looked breathtaking!💘

Luke: Quietly!

Jaba the Hut, his pet & other creatures were assembled by Jim Henson Productions, Inc.
You look beautiful!
Glad you are watching these movies
Thank you!! 😉🤩
Luke, speaking to Leia:
"Our father, who aren't in heaven,
Hollow be his helmet.
His Empire come, his will be done.
On Endor as it is on the Deathstar.
Give us this day, our daily dread,
And punish us for our trespasses,
As we punish those who trespass against us.
Lead us into temptation,
And deliver us to evil.
For thine is the Empire,
The power of the dark side,
For evil and ever.
OMEN."
This was a great reaction ✌🏽💪🏽💯👍 I study the force in real life it’s real 🌘🌌
May the force be with you
Cant wait for the full reaction on Patreon!
Hey)) thank you😘 no problem, today will be uploaded;)
Wow I luv the orginal star wars trilogy! Emma made it even more exciting! On to the prequels! Thanks for sharing Emma ❤️💛😘
And after parts I II and III, you shall finish your journey with "rogue one" which is the glue between the 2 trilogies
@@Moviefan2k4I’ve heard that too
Those giant trees are a few hours drive from my house...
Good observation on the ship's fall, however we could assume that they lost propulsion and attitude control and that the ship was deviated and with no mean to correct this deviation, crashed into the Death Star II.
there was a tell from seeing the fifth element, badaboom xD
RIP Manny Bothans, he was a real one.
Many
Bothans are a race.
There is actually one part of the movie that WAS filmed in the state park.
Darth Vader was 45 years old when he died.
15:29 The guys in red are the Emperor's personal guards, they are never seen except when the Emperor is present.
23:00 The imperial troops on Endor are not Stormtroopers, they are Scouts. Their helmets and the backs of their armour are noticeably different.
Chewie carries a bandolier of ammo for his crossbow.
I love that you call Chewbacca "Chewba"
Emma there are documentaries about the making of SW but is one that covers all 3 movies from the original triology
Emma Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
Ewoks are cute af, but I'd rather hug Chewbacca (granted he's in a good mood). I also can't help but cheer when Leia chokes out Jabba with that chain.
Side notes:
One part I thought was funny was Lando promised Han not 1 scratch on the ship but ends up losing the whole dish on top of it.
Great reaction & love your enthusiasm. 😊 I’ve always preferred Star Trek over Star Wars, but watching you react to it makes me like them more. 😊
Thank you so much 😁 ✨✨✨✨
