I didn’t know it was an edible.. It smells great when you walk on it.. I accidentally brought it from my parents house and it has invaded my garden spot and I am constantly having to weed it out of my beds. Glad it has a use. Thanks.
I was about to go to war on my yard but I had a feeling there was something I could use it for. Interesting to know you can eat raw. I’ve just been drying out and burning to get rid of it but i’ll keep it around now. I have plantains, mullein, ground ivy and maybe a couple more medicinal herbs in the yard now. Some came from bird droppings like grape hyacinth and mulberry trees so this ground ivy just got added to my keeper list!
For seasonal allergies try to increase consumption of fermented foods. This will help bolster your immune system as allergies are autoimmune issues. This really has worked for me. I have had allergies from January until June, but not since I started eating a lot of ferments through this season. I hope this helps you too.
You mention some studies on its effectiveness. I know this video is from a while ago, but do you remember which studies you referenced? I don't see them in the description or at the end.
@Feral Foraging Give it about 5 minutes. Where I live in Michigan, it spreads like a cancer. *not trying to be insensitive--I just mean it's absolutely awful

Yes, it grows quite prolifically and does indeed smell very good!
This is literally my favorite wild herb I don’t even care it’s taking over my lawn lol it’s amazing for colds also tastes great
It's one of my favorites too!
And the flowers are beautiful up close. Some of my favorites.
Met ground ivy today and fell in love. Subbed.
Awesome! Thank you!

Helpful and charming young man.
You've really refined your format since this video, might be worth a remake!

It would be helpful if you mention when was the best time to harvest plants as well.
I'll be sure to keep that in mind in future videos. Thanks for the feedback!
I find it’s more fragrant during spring also early summer is when it flowers.
You can find them in Japan too. 🇯🇵 I’m trying to grow some now. ☺️
Is there a link for the folk tincture method?
Here is one - theherbalacademy.com/how-to-make-a-tincture/
Is this what's also know as creeping Charlie? I have an absolute ton of this in my yard
Yes, that's another name!
I had the same question. Thanks for answering. My backyard is covered in this
Please tell me the name of the song, it’s driving me nuts. I know I’ve heard it before and I can’t place it. Thank you for the great video!
Do you dry the stems, leave, and flowers for tea?
Yes, I use all aerial parts.
thanks for sharing, greetings from Indonesia
Wow. I may never buy lettuce again. I have enough of this stuff to fill a food bank.

I’m afraid I don’t. I wasn’t as diligent with my research back then. A Google scholar search for Glechoma hederacea should find them!
You didn't link the video you mentioned.
Can I eat it raw and get its benefits, or tea?
I don't see the link for the tincture
It looks similar to garlic mustard in the leaf pattern.
Agreed. Luckily that invasive hasn't made it too strongly to North Alabama yet.

Chickens love them.
❤❤❤❤
What's the best way to preserve it? Hang dry, for tea?
Yes, I always like to dry this one first for tea.
Set it on a screen and put a fan under it and it will dry really fast
Is there any poisonous look alikes?
Not that I know of, but 100% positive ID is necessary no matter what.
@@FeralForaging I agree
Isn't this poisonous for pets?
