This is, hands-down, the best zoom interview I have seen since the world was disrupted. Like this comment and let's see if we can get Jason to come back for a regular show and tell segment!!
As an introvert, I think Jason Mantzoukas is what I'd call "intimidatingly outgoing". He seems friendly enough, but also so carefree and familiar that he'd just make jokes like acting offended over small things and my stunted social IQ would struggle to decide whether he's trying to lighten the mood or if he's genuinely serious.
This is the kind of hilarious interview that would never have happened without the pandemic giving Jason the ability to grab random things in his house, so there's a silver lining.
Totally agree. A couple years ago, my co-workers were all discussing which celebrity they would like to be friends with and when it was my turn, Zouks was immediately my answer.
Seth, I know you were joking about "Art Beat with Jason" but you need to make it a reality stat! just a 20 min/ 30 min/ hour long special or a regular segment, whatever works!
I need to know why there has still not been an Art Beat with Jason segment on this show. I’ve been waiting anxiously for it since this video came out. Let’s do it guys. ❤️
I'm sending a big "thank you!" for Jason Mantzoukas' What's in Your Bag. I knew I loved it from the beginning...but when you recommended Hop Along "Painted Shut" which is the best album I've heard in years. I turned you bag into a playlist and it's INCREDIBLE! You are the BEST and many thanks for recommendations.
one of the most underrated comedic actors he was he's always been one of the greatest comedic performance than anything he's in that's my trophy I have my trophy back lol
Those portraits look like props from those mystery shows where all the cursed objects need to be collected and safely stored in order to avoid the apocalypse. I love Jason Mantzoukas. He has the sense of humor along with the gift to display it creatively (and what I most envy, make money doing it). In my life all I can do is make snide remarks without laughs or remuneration.
Agreed that this is one of the best video interviews I've seen. Just, across the board. Anyone not interviewing Mantzoukas on the reg is missing a major opportunity. The only thing wrong with this interview is that it's waaaay too short.
Jason is like Will Smith in "I am Legend": He's making up backstories for inanimate objects to prevent himself from going completely crazy in isolation and I love it.
I’ve never read any pf the Percy Jackson books, but I nearly cried goddamn tears of joy when I read Jason would be playing Dionysus, the god of madness, in the TV adaptation. Such perfect casting. This guy is madness and joyful hilarity wrapped in one person.
When the little cowboy on your shoulder tells you to make a picture.. it'll sell... you make the damn picture, so he won't tell you to burn things anymore.
Watching this interview was scary - he is me in male form. I have a small collection of bizarre trophies, have been talking to my thrift store pictures and record covers during pandemic, I have that milk glass apple on the ledge behind him but my mask doesn’t fully cover my beard.
Allen Ginsberg is alive and well and passing himself off as "Jason Mantzoukas." None of the other 'beat poets' lived this long and certainly none of them made the transition to television. *Jason Mantzoukas -Allen Ginsberg - David Cross = I have NEVER seen them all in one place at the same time and I cannot PROVE they are all the SAME weirdo, hipster, comedian, but it is my working hypothesis.
I attended the @HDTGM virtual Cats episode, so I knew that mask and it's awesome! Also, I don't think I've ever heard the crew laugh so hard. Jason is an amazing person and he should be everywhere! So talented
I could watch another hour of him showing art from his house. This was hilarious.
Let's get #showandtellwithJason trending!
This!
I would watch that on loop. Just him holding up art and saying "why did I buy this?!"
agreed.
If he made a RUclips channel and did, well, anything he’d have as many subs as Will Smith in a week. He is such a lovely agent of chaos.
We need a Day Drinking with Seth & Jason asap.
The best idea I've heard all week.
Jason doesn't need alcohol 🤣🤣🤣🤣
We big time need this!!!!
i've never agreed with something so strongly.
That would be epic.
This is, hands-down, the best zoom interview I have seen since the world was disrupted. Like this comment and let's see if we can get Jason to come back for a regular show and tell segment!!
Check out the recent Aubrey Plaza on Conan one too, it's great (the full 19min one, not the 4min clip).
Agreed
Jason is even more fascinating than his characters, and his characters are great.
Jason IS a character. Jeffrey Characterwheaties has fooled another one!
He is his character. 😂
He should host a show where he finds obscure art
Never enough Mantzoukas.
I'd say Pimento is the fucked up version of the International Man of Mystery.
Hands down best guest during the pandemic, I'd say get this man a trophy, he already has the perfect one
I think that’s genuinely the hardest I’ve laughed all year. Please get Jason back soon! Or every damn day. Whichever you think is more appropriate
I also think it is the hardest I have seen Seth laugh. The mask seemed to have broken him for a second.
If you like you some zukes here, give a listen to "how did this get made" podcast
for real. i thought the mask was going to be it and then the trophy and i lost it.
I support this motion! I enjoyed seeing Seth lose it

He didn't say one word about the show and yet I'm sold.
This is the kind of hilarious interview that would never have happened without the pandemic giving Jason the ability to grab random things in his house, so there's a silver lining.
Dude steals any scene he's in. I always love it when I find out he's in a show that I'm watching. Parks & Rec, The Good Place, Harmonquest.
Brooklyn 99
He did a HarmonQuest ep???
@@user-si9qy4sl1n For real. He hijacked the hell out of that show when he was a regular.
@@user-si9qy4sl1n Pimento!!
Legion too
I want to be his friend. For reals.
Same
It must be so nice to have an insane philosophic friend.
Everyone thinks that, until he steals your soul and traps you in a painting.
I’ve never wanted anything so badly in my whole life.
Totally agree. A couple years ago, my co-workers were all discussing which celebrity they would like to be friends with and when it was my turn, Zouks was immediately my answer.
I think everyone does...I love his episode of Nailed It.
I’m literally head over heels in love with him
same😩
same
You know this man is awesome when he leads the show's energy all the way.
Looking forward for the "Art Beat with Jason"
Think we can get #showandtellwithJason trending?
Seth, I know you were joking about "Art Beat with Jason" but you need to make it a reality stat! just a 20 min/ 30 min/ hour long special or a regular segment, whatever works!
Art Beat with Jason Mantzoukas is the only think that can heal this broken nation. Please make it happen.
He’s so chaotic and yet he had the camera perfectly set up so he could sit down in frame with a great backdrop. That balance 😘🤌
He seems, genuinely, insane.
Gotta love it.
Those are such Derek-level paintings.
LMAO
"Art Beat with Jason" needs to happen! We NEED This! Art & Nervous breakdown! Sign me up!
The way that little girl's eye is trying to escape her face by the side-door...
Great interview! I wasn't expecting to laugh that hard! 😂🤣
I love Jason and his voice. I’d listen to driving directions from him any day.
I need to know why there has still not been an Art Beat with Jason segment on this show. I’ve been waiting anxiously for it since this video came out. Let’s do it guys. ❤️

He's turned me on to some great music!

That trophy deserves to be in the MOMA.
This is by far the funniest interview I’ve seen on Seth Meyers! This interview left me in tears 😂😂😂!

I couldn't love him more.
Jason is like Will Smith in "I am Legend": He's making up backstories for inanimate objects to prevent himself from going completely crazy in isolation and I love it.
“I’m going for a circle.” Love that journey for him 😂
I love him!! Fuckin hilarious. First time I started seeing seeing him was Brooklyn 99. Fan for life lmao
“....I have lost my mind!” ....that’s why I am seeing Pimento !
I love Jason. He knows how to do a zoom interview. He should have a segment showing off the art in his home.
This man represents everything I wish I could be.
Not embarrassed to share I have had a crush on Jason Mantzoukas for years. More than a decade.
Never be embarrassed of that. I’d marry him in a heartbeat. He’s amazing.
I’ve never read any pf the Percy Jackson books, but I nearly cried goddamn tears of joy when I read Jason would be playing Dionysus, the god of madness, in the TV adaptation. Such perfect casting. This guy is madness and joyful hilarity wrapped in one person.
This was one of the most genuinely funny celebrity interviews I have ever seen
his ability to play only slight variations on the same basic character and maintain a steady career is to be applauded
I'll never not see Brooklyn 99 and him breaking into Peraltas house
I basically rarely laugh out loud. Period.
But that trophy thing? I'm laughing like a lunatic!
That interview was highly amusing and way to short!
See now? That was precious introspection few attain to achieve.
Now I need to know who won the 1993-94 season of Most meals with Dad.
This seems like a rivalry that manifested out of Jay's family from Big Mouth 😄
*1992-93
Please interview him for 5 hours next time. Thank you
He's awesome.
Jason is genuinely one of the funniest people ever! I would love to hear more about these insane items.
ART BEAT WITH JASON - YES!!! We need this in our lives!!!
This was the best interview segment in the entire quarantine. Zouks is an absolute king
Jason needs to be on every talk show at all times
When the little cowboy on your shoulder tells you to make a picture.. it'll sell... you make the damn picture, so he won't tell you to burn things anymore.
I love this maniac so much. Rafi, Derek, Adrian Pimento.. *chef's kiss*
Love this guy, bloody hilarious. More of him please.
Jason Mantzoukas is very entertaining! He's really talented and funny and something else! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh man that was gold! Too short but gold, can't wait to see this guy again! Thanks everyone for making this happen
Dude. Art Beat with Jason needs to be a 30-minute show in and of itself. 🙏
I honestly love these more low key interviews, just chatting and showing stuff in the background. #ArtBeatWithJason
Jason's general demeanor has reminded me of how well I have managed to keep it together, not just in this pandemic, but just generally speaking.
Close Enough is pretty pretty great!
I recognised that Regular Show animation style straight away! I need to watch it.
I loved the first season, really fun
proudly showing of the the nice things in my home via zoom. big mood. this is my kind of crazy after one year of lockdown life, too!
Jason Mantzoukas is the absolute best. I'll watch him in anything.
I LOVE this man! Why can't I find a guy like him? (Oh right, he's hiding in his house.)
Yes to Art Beat with Jason. Every week.
MAXIMUM DEREK!
I almost didn't watch this clip.... But I'm so glad I did! I needed that laugh!
Such a king. I want to see him in more things. Also, I love that horrible little girl in the background. Very haunting, 10/10.
Hey Nong Man.
He was a great improv teacher in NYC back in the day, too.
Man, I needed a good laugh. Thank you.
I dead laughing with that mask reveal.
I love Jason Mantzoukas!
This was so aimless and yet so entertaining. Thank you.
Everytime I see Jason I realize Rafi and Pimento is just him, they hire him on shows and just let him do whatever he wants lol
This is hands down exactky what I needed right now.
What a hero.
More Jason please!!! He’s the best!
Please, can you just make this interview an hour long? It was just a fun time, SO MUCH BETTER WITH NO AUDIENCE ruining their flow.
It's even better that you can hear Seth's crew laughing.
Please bring back Jason again soon; that was amazing! 👏
PLEASE make this a regular segment. Show & Tell with Jason. I need to see the other random things he has collected!!
Yes!! Art/collectibles with Jason at least once a month, please!!
This is the greatest interview ever. I’m seriously in awe of every second 🤣
Watching this interview was scary - he is me in male form. I have a small collection of bizarre trophies, have been talking to my thrift store pictures and record covers during pandemic, I have that milk glass apple on the ledge behind him but my mask doesn’t fully cover my beard.
I have loved and appreciated Jay Mantzoukas' work for years. He is delightful af. After seeing this, I may want to marry him.
I loved this! It'd be awesome if Jason had a RUclips channel. He could collect and auction for profit and for beloved causes.
I love that I have already seen most of this stuff on Paul Scheer's Twitch! Love you Zouks!!!!!!!
Few things legitimately make me "laugh out loud" anymore. But this Jason Mantzoukas segment did it for me.
Consideration for others getting that mask made, kudos. 😊
I want to see all of his art!
One of the greatest art collectors of our time 🙌
Jason looks like a cross between Jerry Garcia and Cat Stevens lol. Love him lol he’s hilarious. Jay is also my favorite character on Big Mouth.
I adore Jason. Please make him an art segment. 💜
Allen Ginsberg is alive and well and passing himself off as "Jason Mantzoukas." None of the other 'beat poets' lived this long and certainly none of them made the transition to television.

Totally nailing that full circle hair and beard!! 💯💯💯
I normally don’t want the interviews but Jason Mantzoukas is a treat.
I attended the @HDTGM virtual Cats episode, so I knew that mask and it's awesome! Also, I don't think I've ever heard the crew laugh so hard. Jason is an amazing person and he should be everywhere! So talented
One of the best interviews yet!
We need an art show with Jason
I laughed so much. 100% would watch that art segment.
