It just clicked that the Children of Atom are suppose to be insane cultists, but you actually do experience a vision of an established messenger, which leads you to an isolated place where there is an idol. And we know the occult stuff exists in fallout lore so....maybe they aren't quite actually that crazy. It's like how the hubologists are suppose to be a parody of scientology and a bunch of idiots that believes in aliens, and then the chick just hands you an actual alien blaster at the end.
There's actually a bit of a fan theory that the "Mother of the fog" is actually a very clever woman using stealth boys to manipulate and control the children of atom. Imma be honest I kinda like the star wars empire vibes this kinda gives. In a way that concept would fit in rather well in the fallout universe so it's interesting to see it being implemented in a way.

I like this video, it really makes me wish Bethesda would work on their game engine to allow larger scale fights to full on battles, with he spice of having to command and use tactics, instead of being the 1 man/women army to beat everyone(not saying that should be removed it should still be an option). Along with the option to be your OWN faction with you own ideas and politics, rather having to join a preset faction to let win.
I agree 100%. Fallout 4 as a whole just leaves so much to be desired. So much missed potential. Luckily we have an amazing modding community to make up for it! I'm glad you liked the video!
