  • Hi Guys,
Tonight I have a story from one of our viewers, his name is Todd. While growing up Todd and his family would make trips to Oregon in the summer. On one of these trips Todd went fishing in the woods along a wilderness creek....there he encountered something in the forest that was extremely frightening and it followed him while he was getting lost in the forest by himself!

To me, it sounds like the Sasquatch kind of drove or escorted the boy back to the creek; definitely rescued the boy from being lost.

Only time my husband and I took a wrong turn was in Glacier National Park. We continued on a trail for about a mile and did not recognize anything (we were on the way back to the trailhead parking area).
I listened to my gut that said “turn around and head back to correct your mistake”. After a half hour of reversing course- we found where we had gone wrong.
The time spent off course gave me a thought that this is how people disappear while hiking.
Some times in spite of maps and compass readings, you need to listen to your gut.

What a story Chris! This young boy must have been petrified. That's one of my fears about going into a deep forest that I would get lost. You know, by alot of encounters that many people have had, my theory is that bigfoot is not harmful. I think they are territorial and don't like people in their space but they aren't violent creatures. ( hope I'm right). Lol. Safe hiking Chris!❤

This reminds me so much of an experience I had in the Santa Cruz mountains when I was 16. The biggest difference was, when I got to the edge of town and was out of the forest, I was about 25 feet away from this thing. It made sure not to let me get a good, clear look at it. I only saw its eyes and one hand, as it pulled a branch of the conifer it was hiding out of the way of its view. I honestly *never* thought 'bigfoot' (possibly out of fear?) until just a few years ago, when my daughter wrote a book report for school about bigfoot. Heck of an experience.

This shows how easy it can be to get off-trail and lost in the forests.😮 I feel that most of the missing person cases within National Parks, etc. happens just like this. The person gets a little off-trail then keeps going, hoping to find their way back, but are just getting deeper and deeper into dangerous areas. They end up getting buried in shale, falling off a high spot into dense underbrush where they die; falling into the rushing rivers to drown and get swept miles away, etc. Very scary. Besides following a creek, I think kids should be taught how to use a compass and be expected to always carry one on any excursion into forest lands. Having a buddy along is always a good idea too. Great story.
Hey, maybe you experienced hearing a bison or buffalo steamrolling through the forest. You can hear them from a long ways off and they make a really huge huffing-growly sound. I know you would rather have it be a Squatch tho. 😊

Your encounter was pretty frightening itself, yikes 😬 😳. Everytime you tell it, I get chills 😬 😳. This is my favorite RUclips channel. I love everything about it. Plus when you tell the encounters you make me feel like I'm right there in the middle of it. "Now that's talent."
I remembered that place as soon as you started the video. I was like, that's where Chris had his encounter. Was it a different time or was it the same camping trip where you went down to the creek to wash you pans out after dinner and you either heard something or felt something 🤔 maybe you felt like you were being watched 👀. I can't remember. But great encounter and smart thinking with the whistle.

This is the Greatest RUclips channel ever.

Thank you for sharing these encounters and for all the hard work and time you put into your videos. They are truly top-notch.

It happened to me and a friend at 12 hunting mule deer here in Utah. Once seen it cannot be unseen. I'm a career Army vet and lifelong hunter in the Rockies. We don't misidentify, our lives rely on nano seconds of decision. They exist, I honestly am way past who believes or not. I know, John knows and rhe Army absolutely knows as well. 🦅🇺🇸🦅🌲👣👣👣🌲

WOW Chris!! What a scary story! I believe Todd, every single word! I'am so happy and relieved that Todd made it back to his Mom's friends house, but, I wish that Todd's Mom would have believed him, that is really important to believe your kid!
That hill that you camped on where the rocks are, is that a man made formation or natural?
I bet that you were absolutely scared out of your mind when you heard all that ruckus coming from the woods, I would have been FREAKING!! I believe that the Coyote was going to be Bigfoot's dinner that night, thank you Chris for saving the Coyote and ESPECIALLY you of course!!
Thank you for sharing this scary story my friend, you are truly fabulous!! 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 🍀🌲 🌿🌲 👣 Keep Hiking 👣🌲🌲

No wonder he was scared if he'd been watching 'Deliverance.' Nobody wants to end up like Ned Beatty. One story about that scene, apparently the actor getting Ned to squeal like a pig wasn't a professional actor. He was just some local and when the director yelled 'Cut' to end the scene, he didn't stop and they had to drag him off Ned. It always cracks me up.

I got lost at Disneyland at closing time. Hundreds of people coming toward me, as I was trying to find my group. They were all going toward the exit and I was searching going back in on Main St. Think I was 11-12 at the time. It was scary!

I always thought an overprotective parent/parents were just parents that were a little overly strict until I went home with a friend in like 7th or 8th grade and he started to warn me about his mom at lunch and on the bus ride home after that half day on a Friday and I thought I had a good idea of what to expect and be prepared for but later found out that boy was I so completely wrong and totally underprepared for what I would witness and experience that Friday until I got picked up from his house by my dad Sunday afternoon. I will absolutely NEVER forget watching him step up onto a tree limb about 3 feet off the ground in his backyard where his feet could have brushed the growing if he had hopped up and sat on it with his legs dangling instead of standing on it and suddenly out of fkn nowhere hearing his mother letting loose the loudest most intense screams of absolute mortal fear and panic and seeing her come sprinting out full bore from out the back door and never stopping her terrified screaming until she got her hands on him and helping him hop down off the tree branch standing ready in a stance like she was catching her child that had to jump out the window of a 3 or 4 story buildings top floors. I couldn’t even comprehend what was happening until she started to sob uncomfortably and patting his limbs etc down asking if he was hurt anywhere at all and then switching to punishment mode for daring to do anything even remotely like that and telling him how incredibly dangerous what he was just doing truly was etc… the scary thing is that there are parents who are even more extreme and overprotective of their kids even after they become full grown and mature adults and even after they get married etc. no thanks!! Had to relate that experience after u saying that boy in the story had an overprotective mother but he could have def had it even worse that’s for sure!!
