While true, she has said that during this tour, she was often exhausted and had to really push herself to get through a concert, because she wasn't eating enough. If you compare her look and her stamina in this tour to the Rep tour several years later, you will see that she looks much healthier and performs effortlessly in her more recent performances. She wrote the Speak Now album completely on her own, with no assistance, input, or collabs, at age 20, to prove to her detractors that she does, indeed, write all of her own music. It remains one of her best albums; we swifties are anxiously awaiting the re-recording!
Taylor being so kind to all of the guest artists absolutely defines who is she as an artist. She respects artists and their art & never uses her Pop Artist/Legendary status to feel “better than” or “above” others.
Your point about the lightning and the audience is very on point, you really have an eye for detail. The acoustic moment when she sang You Are In Love (on my top 3 from 1989) was by far my favorite moment from the concert, I remember that all through that song and Clean, my friend and I couldn't stop crying. Back in 2011 during the Speak Now tour, a friend and I managed to get into a meet & greet, let me tell you she's the kindest, warm and most humble celebrity I've ever met. She gives all of her fans big hugs, she tries to memorize your name before the M&G, and she actually asks about you and cares. I've met some celebrities that are absolutely bored out of their minds during M&G and make you feel small but Taylor seems to really be happy and grateful that you are there.
