In this clip with Michael Blackson, Vlad voiced his grievances with Mo'Nique's husband and accused him of attempting to steal Vlad's interview with the star. Vlad was candid about his experiences with Mo'Nique and her husband, expressing his frustration about them attempting to gain control of the interview footage after it was filmed. He's told the story before but I don't think people understand how slimy that was. I'm in the field of photography and videography, anf even though its an interview so this comparison isn't completely 1 to 1, they're basically the client in this situation yet tried to come in and take complete ownership of the media, that never happens in this field without a major price tag. That's why photographer, videographers, techs etc. do licensing arrangements.
In this situation however instead of trying to get a license for the media, they tried to demand a reverse license. Yeah you recorded it on your equipment, edited it, provided the location and so on, but we're going to give you the right to have exclusive use of your own media for a year
That happens nowhere. If they wanted to profit off of it as it is her story then they should have tried to negotiate a profit sharing deal - instead they tried to take the whole thing

People don't understand that this is who Mo' Nique is! It's not her husband's fault. She does her business in a way that she feels benefits her the best (as it should be). Her Hollywood management teams worked for Hollywood and wouldn't jeopardize their careers to work in her best interest. Her husband can because he doesn't have a stake in Hollywood. He's running her career exactly how she wants it to be run.

These interviews don't look like they cost thousands of dollars with a team of 20 people working on it. Worst-case scenario you need 1 person to film and edit, and one person to research, what are the other 18 people doing? I'll even let you count the social media person who posts it. What are the other 17 people doing? Even if you count an assistant and a director (which we know he doesn't have), what are the other 15 people doing? Vlad TV has an in-house team. Technically there was no agreement. Vlad said the husband said he will have to go over the waiver and contract and asked for more time to review. That’s business. Smart business move from Monique and her legal side . Vlad is making thousands of celebrities resumes and events. What’s wrong with asking to own the rights to they own life stories? I've heard Vlad bring up this story at least 10 times in various interviews, but this is the first time I've heard of him reaching out to Mo'Nique's 'daddy'...I mean husband to try to reach some sort of agreement.
If you listen to the recorded phone call between Mo'Nique/her husband & Tyler Perry then you know the situation is very similar with a person tries to reach out to them in order to make amends only to be met with a list of demands where you need to do this this and this in order for me to accept your apology.
Let's say you have a falling out with another person, but you decide to try to repair the friendship/relationship beginning with a sincere apology only for the other person to tell you how they want you to apologize to them (even if you weren't the one who did wrong in the first place); F**k em!
