i'll never forget how many tears i've cried to this song. when a girl who i thought was the love of my life dumped me out of nowhere in the midst of her catching feelings for her male best friend while we were struggling, in june 2022. i couldn't take it at all. i lost my appetite. i probably had ten meals in the entirety of that month and only got out of my bed once every three days. while she went ahead and took a summer trip with that dude right after leaving me, i'd cry myself to sleep, only managing about 3 hours before i'd wake up again and force myself to fall asleep again because of how dark everything felt. when my eyes would finally open around 6 p.m. every day, i'd ask alexa to play this song and bawl my eyes out. and you know what she was doing while this was happening? fucking that dude. while i'd fucking cry my eyes out and be unable to make it out of bed. this song is apt. we're too fucked and flawed.
We gotta appreciate how this man sang about a dog or idk what but we gotta take care of the animal that's loyal to us, do not abuse them or starve them, let them live
Glaive definitely has a special sort of feeling towards his dogs… I was raised in a home where my dog was my only real comfort. That bond is unmatched - brought me to tears.

This reminded me of being a little kid with nothing to worry about and owning many pets, seeing some of them leave my life, not all passed away, but my parents would usually cover the story of what happened to them so I could sleep at night without feeling as sad. Now that im older and I own a few pets, I realize eventually ill have to put them down, and it hurts to be reminded of that. All the flashbacks and great memories I had with my pets, will happen with the ones I got currently. Not only with pets but with family too. Ill probably lose a lot of loved ones as I age and grow, this makes me aware that I have to appreciate the people I have in my life everyday, since I could lose them at anytime. Be safe in heaven, everyone and everything ive lost in my life, and may your soul rest easy.
