18:17 I suggest you re watch "The Doomsday Machine" for more dynamic representation of how the Enterprise fights. The Enterprise is rarely stationary when fighting as indicated by movement of the starfield background in your first clip. Good build and very appropriate. It's appreciated.
How could a relatively low budget show b on for only three seasons and still have such a HUGE impact on Sci Fi culture and an even bigger impact on science and space exploration itself? Cuz it's not jus a show, it's a prerequisite for a better world one day. A guide on how to treat not jus our fellow humans but how to treat EVERY creature in the galaxy no matter how small or insignificant. It shows us how to solve conflicts with empathy and understanding, making sure violence is the very last resort and even then used in a measured way. It doesn't jus give us hope for a better day, it shows us the pathway to get there, with morals and teamwork. 🖖 Star Trek changed me in a profound way, basically turned a Klingon into a Deferi. A Kahn Noonien Singh without a cause, into a Book with a purpose. 🤣🖖 I love this community.
Apologies for the late reply I think at the time of it's release it was hard to know the impact but little did they know XD I've learned most of my positivity from STAR TREK and will always lean towards it I hope as STAR TREK does that one day we can all just get a long I'm with you Cap.. Because it eventually lead to the others! Though it was cancelled after 3 seasons, more "Star Trek" movies and programmes followed. My dad led me to watching "MFU" and told me to watching "ST" as 2 actors who played on an episode on the former were playing on it. I got hooked on both and continued watching the actors on other programmes and movies. New series and movies soon appeared so I watched them too as I also liked went to clubs and conventions, read and wrote stories, and even bought merchandise from Lincoln Enterprises, etc. over the years.
Enterprise being stopped and sitting still in TOS only happened a few times. Most of it was because they didn't have funds to make it look like it was moving and when they remastered the series with CGI they corrected that. Yes in a few episodes they were sitting still but they weren't sitting still in many such as "Balance of Terror"
I just got this ship in the yearly event token. It's fantastic. Very powerful. Interesting note, the strange New Worlds Connie is larger than the original connie. So how did that happen? 🤔😋
What got me into star trek was a different design of the doomsday machine and I was 12 Years old back than now I'm 22 and since I can not use the temporal light cruiser t6 I wish it could be boxed back up and given to another account but yes I know doesn't work like that and I'd like to have a fleet of TOS ship's starting t1 pioneer t1 Connie t2 connie lengendery constitution t6 then the old NX but refited to TOS era maranda pilot and comand and Intel with the skin of the TOS ranger the balled TOS ship and the TOS star gazer and the escort in a fleet formation commanded by different bridge offcers and wuld like to fight a Big fleet battles in a patrol and eventually TMP era ships
always found this design the most beautiful. I heard Jefferies even incorporated sacred geometry whilst designing it.

TOS was always my own favorite.
