The best and most honest talk about the dangers of capitalism: unlimeted exploitation, fear, individualism (almost isolation) and the greed of corporativism (wich can only take place in a capitalist system).
I think she started of good , but then it became a talk about highlighting the struggles of women. I agree that women face these issues , but we should not neglect the issues men face. Men might work more and thus earn more, but they dont get to see their children as often. Men also do the most dangerous jobs and have a way higher chance of dying at their job. So as you can see , each gender has its issues. It would be nice if we could all work a little less , but at the same time not have to worry about basic needs like shelter , food , healthcare , etc.
The most interesting part of the talk to me actually was the one about how we internalize capitalism , we start to push ourselves to the limit to keep up with this failed system endangering our own health in the process.
I don't even know where to Start with how unintelligent this talk is. You get to work WHEREEVER You Want in Capitalism. You get to Buy WHATEVER You Want in Captialism. Go to China where the State decides all of that for you.
She wants to have her cake and eat it too, She wants to advance her career in the field of her choice, have the paycheck and work hours of her choice and she wants to have the social life of her choice.........Nothing more than a spoiled and entitled little girl.... If she wants a successful career as a journalist she has to by definition be better than the average journalist, in order to be acknowledged within that field she has too work twice as hard as anyone who already has a reputation and therefor already has people who will read his articles. She is also mistaken in the assertion that fear is the driving factor in Capitalism, the thing that motivates people to compete is potential profit, meaning personal ambitions. Once again, she wants to retain the chance to profit while at the same time removing any of the risk involved. The fact is that we all have to compromise. If you want a guaranteed income, pick a field where the supply doesn't fill the demand. If you want a good social life, pick a field where the work hours are less and if you want to be successful in an overcrowded and highly competitive field of journalism then give up on the illusions of short work hours and a good social life. You can't have it all...... She and all of the others like her need to grow up.....
we tried most of those ideas in the GDR, people ended up advancing on proximity to party members, we fell behind a decade in a lot of industries. A lot of things were good, but even in Communism, even under the Russians what worked best was to ignore the anti class system and hire people on capability
+Razonhable2bcs ok, I don't know much about capitalism or whatever ism you mentioned. But the benefits for competition is enjoyed by everyone, all the time. Competition allow, workers to choose better co- workers, in order to provide better product and services for consumer. Competition allow more entertaining youtuber to access more audience and funding for more youtube videos over less entertaining ones. The prospect of competition makes students study harder or scientist research harder which in turn give even better technology or even better service to be purchased for better value. Competition even allowed voters to choose between politician. Competition is scary and the prospect of loosing can induce stress, but it doesnt mean it doesnt has its merit
+Razonhable2bcs i think you went off in a complete different tangent. I compete with my fellow students in terms of grade, it never result in wae, I compete with my fellow mathematician for jobs in a company by equipting my self with as many useful skill as possible, it never results in war, different companys also compete for my labour and skills by offering as good a salary or working condition as possible, it also doesnt result in war. The fact is, whenever there is a "choice", there is a "competition" to be "chosen", because the chooser will always want to choose the best… A world without competition is a world without choice… Do you want to choose which restaurant you will go to for your date? well done, many restaurants have just competed to provide the best service and food for the best value and experience inorder to convince you to choose them. Don't want anymore competition? great! start by never making a personal decision in your life ever again.

This girl does not understand the difference from Capitalism and Corporatism.
Capitalism leads to corporatism

wow, she just completely ignored the benefit for competition
+Razonhable2bcs the benefits are along the lines of if you do good work your employer will pay you more than say Jamal who doesn't do as good a job
