I'm going to limit my politics but it is essential to explain the whole Fight Club and The Boys. The thing about the Boys and Fight Club is that the people who made it don't understand the people they're trying to criticize. They think we're blind and can't see our faults, so they display them front and forward with the caricatures. Our values are in complete opposition to theirs and so when they display a stereotypical personification of it, we actually see it as very endearing. The right it made up of two groups, conservatives who value order and stability and libertarians value freedom, but what brings us together is our love for power. Homlander is the symbol of power that we like. The libertarians see ourselves in Homelander because of his pursuit of liberation from those who try to control and keep him in the dark. The conservative see Homelander as an authorative figure who acts on his own accord and protects his family, they especially like the scenes with his son and his interactions with Stormfront. At least a friend of mine liked how Homelander "tamed a crazy n@zi housewife". Anyway! The point is that the directors don't understand that to a conservative a strong unapologetic authority figure who loves his nation is good; and that to a libertarian a supe trying to free himself from his handlers with his own strength is cool. 12:25 I unironically like G.A.T.E, the story is bonkers but here it is even though no one asked for it. Basically, A Fantastical Roman Empire like kingdom invades Japan through a Gateway that connects 2 worlds every 1000 years or so. A off duty officer Protagonist in the Japanese Self Defense Force saves a bunch of civilians from the attacking Forces and gets a medal. Japan then sends the JSDF to the other world to survey the new land and establish connections with locals. After the Empire fails a surprise attack on the superior Japanese Soldiers with their guns and tanks and artillery, our officer protagonist goes off with his crew and fights off a dragon while also meeting a demigod, an elf girl who will later think the protagonist is her father after some crazy PTSD breakdowns, and a mage. They'd then go off and help the princess of the empire defend a city with march of the eagles playing or something in helicopters as they gun down soldiers who said "F the empire, ill raid this city". After this point, my memory gets foggy so i wont go any further, but this anime has stayed in my mind for about 7 years now, and i needed to talk about it with someone who mentions it.
24:36 it is actually theorized by the fandom that Optimus had to drop off the metal bomb somewhere far2 away as he stated in the ending of TF4,and then to conserve energon he trajectoried to Cybertron and turn on stasis mode so he'd land on Cybertron. And Transformers do have anti-freeze function as we see Starscream launched himself to space in previous movies.
source? because the producer credits for gate Don't show anything that you're talking about, or did you confuse it with the author? because the author was part of the JSDF.
I was so excited for this reaction. After watching Pointlesshub’s mental state spiral, you did not disappoint sir. Hopefully you were able to get a good sleep to help ease the mental trauma. We all needed it.
13:16 since you didn't want to do it, I shall take a bullet for the team: Synopsis for GATE: basically some fantasy kingdom opened a portal to Tokyo trying to invade. But they forgot to upgrade their tech so while dragons are cool, they ain't as cool as an F22 jet and Abrams tank. So that kingdom got pushed back, and the Japan army followed through and took control of the portal. The whole anime revolves around the army with many named military dudes liberating the kingdom with some politics sprinkled in here and there. It's basically JP's military propaganda. The catch? Aside from the harem shown in that picture (yes that included the goth loli and the blue haired girl that's clearly not 18), there's a scene in the final episode where it shows all those named military dudes with their wife/fiance. 1 of them is a Japanese diplomat with a girl who's clearly not even 12 years old. While the girl is clinging to him he simply says "We're gonna obey the law ok?" There's a clip of that on RUclips. Look up "Gate anime couples".
I like the show, but I prefer manga because it is more dark and medieval in some scenes. And contains a lot more Modern-ish military fighting in the world on Swords, Dragons and Magic.(At a later point Japan starts sending more modern vehicles and weapons) And while the series contains some characters of less than 18 years of age, they are pretty much based on what was going on on Earth: Royal parents died - 11 y.o. child now is in command. We need to please a new big country? - let's send our daughter to marry their royal, etc. But unlike most other anime, here adult modern Japanese people get uncomfortable in those situations. And even the main protagonist was uncomfortable with advances from 900+ y.o. almost god that looked like a child.
@@UkrNomad Even if you don't count Rory, the little girl who's with the diplomat dude was clearly into him, not for political reasons, but because he saved her when the king's soldiers were raiding her mansion. So she made her choice, and the adult in question did not turn her offer down. If a kid that age is THAT clingy with you, clearly with romantic interest, would you be that hesitant? (please say no).
45:30 They didn't need to mess this bit up because it DIDN'T NEED TO BE A THING! But they had to TRY, and fucked it up. And now that scene is a stain in the boxer briefs of cinema.
14:40 - "Learning to Love Michael Bay's Transformers Movies" by Empire Wreckers actually addresses that question. I *highly* recommend it, and I'd love to see you react to it! 😄
Peter Cullen has always been Optimus and dispite his discomfort Bay forced him to say it or Peter would lose his contract. The bay movies are an absolute stain on the 40 years of comics, cartoons, and games of this franchise.
42:10 - Well no, she had turned 18 in January of 2013, 4 months before they commenced filming of the movie later that year in May. Jack Reynor, who plays Shane, turned 21 in the same month. Still, yeah, they were already adults by the time they started filming (and especially by the time it released in mid-2014).
An hour. An hour???? Oh man I didnt realize this one was gonna be torn apart, I mean I knew the movie sucked, I saw it, but damn an hour is indeed quite entertaining
Apparently there was only one line Peter Cullen didn’t like and that was “I’ll kill them all” genuinely that’s the only one he said was way too off key for Optimus
29:33 in actual Transformers Canon Lore All Cybertronians atleast the ones native to cybertron were all birth from the planet itself and they didn't have the ability to transform In lieu of the being manufactured that was when the Quintesons actually invaded cybertron and basically made the cybertronians their slaves and the ability was acquired ability and the allspark was an additional conduit to bring Cybertronians to life
So I had seen every previous entry of the bayformers in theater, but this was my last one. I saw the trailers for TLK and was not impressed. So disappointing what all of this could have been. Peter Cullen as Optimus will always hold a special place in my heart, but the lines that they made him say in Bay's movies left a sour taste in my mouth. The only redeeming quality of 4 and 5 are that John Goodman's Hound exists. Hound my beloved.
I forever thank myself for not going to the theatre when it came out,in fact for me this is the only Transformers movie that I’ve never watched until Pointlesshub’s review came out, when I decided just to really see how bad it was…. I should’ve just done anything else, but no.At least it’s good to see people trash it,which is why I’m forever glad Jack decided to react to it (And pointlesshub) I’ve yet to see the video but I know its going to be excellent as always,as only by trashing the bay verse can you make something decent out of it.
I'm very certain that Peter hated that portrayal of Optimus as the series went on, wich LITERALLY goes against everything his brother told him before he got the role. His brother told him to act like a real hero. A hero strong enough to be gentle. Yet Michael Bay wanted Optimus to be more ruthless as it went on. If I'm not mistaking before the first movie Liam Neeson was also considered for the role of Optimus
mr "i had a sister in chicago" is one of my most hated people, just from how moronic he is to blame the autobots for the decepticon invasion and just killing them because of it
Well the thing with The Boys isn't just that it's anti far-right but also the fact the writer has nosesical definition of far-right to point of thinking the concept of a super hero is inherently right wing, basically just as delusional as Homelander admirers but in the reverse way
I heard a lot about Kimba the white lion and this is the first time I hear that it didn't come before The lion King, brother you sure your not the one having the Mandela effect influencing you?
My statement was made in haste. I meant to say that by claiming Kimba came first people imply that the lion king ripped it off, despite the two being completely different movies
Thank God a Gate enjoyer with common sense. And what I find funny is how when defending this weird loli issue, everyone collectively agree to ignore the final scene where they show all the couples; and 1 of them was the Japanese diplomat guy with an underaged girl. To me it's like eating soup and finding a pipe bomb at the bottom. the whole anime was great and you end with THAT???
@theotv5522 ikr? Like if you wanted the "Rory looks like a kid but is almost a thousand" then don't sexualize her and just make her a prankster using her looks to mess with people cause that's funny. Cause that scene where she tears that cabinet lady a new one is still awesome.
japan doesnt do adaptations. it isnt their thing. they don't take stuff and try to milk it by ruining it like Hollywood does. they make original manga and anime that are good. not all of them as that would be impossible. but the more Hollywood makes the more it seems japan is god tier when it comes to entertainment. and I didn't mean literally don't do adaptations.
13:21 Hey, at least GATE is actually entertaining! QUESTIONABLE sometimes yes, pure Japanese military glorification and patriotism, yes. But at least it’s entertaining!
Hey Jack just to counter argument what you said about the boys season 4 personally I liked it. I understand that you think it was subtle in season 1 and 2 but they literally had a Nazi in season 2 it was never subtle. I don't think it was ramping up to tell the right wing audience to fuck off. It was ramping up because it was the natural conclusion of a five season show
I may be wrong about this but when you said why didn't Optimus die he got shot in the chest" I read somewhere that The Matrix of Leadership provides whomever has it in this case if nothing changed Optimus Prime Near unlimited Energon so he's constantly healing cause Transformers need Energon to heal to put it simply he is immortal so long as that Matrix remains in his chest don't know if it's cannon buts its cool to think about
Ah, yes. The movie where bay accepted communism and sold franchise's soul to get by. And the "I'm an inventor" part? Look what cade not only did to his friend in consequence, but his family & whole life as a result. Yikes. So much for being an inventor, I guess
Did anyone else when they where younger think Cade was secretly an aged up older Sam Witwiki who changed his name to avoid the government? I also thought it since his daughter his blonde like the girl from DOTM is This was 9 year old me logic so dont judge me lmao
Oh boy even if we don't talk about Rory, there's still that diplomat dude with the girl who's clearly not even 15. There's a similar manga to this called Nihonkoku Shoukan and it's pure Japan military power flexing on them feudalism imperials.

@@5limefx498 Nihonkoku Shoukan is great. Japan there did not hesitant to "neutralize" it's enemies like in GATE. "Oh you killed our tourists? We'll kill your capital city then"
While I do unironically think that this is my personal favorite movie of all time (which is why this original video didn't vibe with me much), I totally agree with everything regarding the Romeo & Juliet law. In the wise words of legendary Transformers toy reviewer JobbyTheHong: "It's not funny; it's not sexy - it's just gross, creepy, and weird." The video on The Last Knight is my favorite of his though, with the one exception being that I think that Cybertronian Knights is a fantastic idea.
Yeah agree here, the movie would be 10 times better if you just remove the humans, 5 times better if you remove the Romeo and Juliet law scene and just make the daughter over 18. Gotta love lockdown or the dinobots either way
speaking of reverse isekais. although GATE just becomes a generic harem where dragons don't do anything because "TANK STRONGER". There are some out there that does explore strategy from real life history and incorporates it in a fantasy world. in other words watch Drifters thank

After this point, my memory gets foggy so i wont go any further, but this anime has stayed in my mind for about 7 years now, and i needed to talk about it with someone who mentions it.
probably should've mentioned that China, America, and Russia all want to control the gate and steal the resources on the other side
also slavery just exists
24:36 it is actually theorized by the fandom that Optimus had to drop off the metal bomb somewhere far2 away as he stated in the ending of TF4,and then to conserve energon he trajectoried to Cybertron and turn on stasis mode so he'd land on Cybertron. And Transformers do have anti-freeze function as we see Starscream launched himself to space in previous movies.
I love the fact gate was funded by the Japanese equivalent to the pentagon it makes gate so much funnier
source? because the producer credits for gate Don't show anything that you're talking about, or did you confuse it with the author? because the author was part of the JSDF.
I was so excited for this reaction. After watching Pointlesshub’s mental state spiral, you did not disappoint sir.
Hopefully you were able to get a good sleep to help ease the mental trauma. We all needed it.
Can you watch pointless hub's pacific rim videos when you're done with the transformers ones
Videos? There's only one video. (For those who don't understand sarcasm and what a joke is, this is a damned joke.)
13:16 since you didn't want to do it, I shall take a bullet for the team:
Synopsis for GATE: basically some fantasy kingdom opened a portal to Tokyo trying to invade.
While the girl is clinging to him he simply says "We're gonna obey the law ok?"
There's a clip of that on RUclips. Look up "Gate anime couples".
I like the show, but I prefer manga because it is more dark and medieval in some scenes. And contains a lot more Modern-ish military fighting in the world on Swords, Dragons and Magic.(At a later point Japan starts sending more modern vehicles and weapons)
And while the series contains some characters of less than 18 years of age, they are pretty much based on what was going on on Earth: Royal parents died - 11 y.o. child now is in command.
Surprised to hear one of my favorite animes being mentioned.
Honestly, in theory, Arthurian Mythology and Transformers could've been cool. In theory
Yeah, after watching this movie, I was done still love the first three movies
I love how much longer each reaction gets
14:40 - "Learning to Love Michael Bay's Transformers Movies" by Empire Wreckers actually addresses that question. I *highly* recommend it, and I'd love to see you react to it! 😄
that would be perfect for him to see after cody's series
I actually requested him to react to that
Peter Cullen has always been Optimus and dispite his discomfort Bay forced him to say it or Peter would lose his contract. The bay movies are an absolute stain on the 40 years of comics, cartoons, and games of this franchise.
38:25
Ayy, he mentioned Sing 2!! Love that movie.
Upload for JACKEDDD!!! Letss gooo haha my fave channel lately!
Apparently there was only one line Peter Cullen didn’t like and that was “I’ll kill them all” genuinely that’s the only one he said was way too off key for Optimus
29:33 in actual Transformers Canon Lore
All Cybertronians atleast the ones native to cybertron were all birth from the planet itself and they didn't have the ability to transform
In lieu of the being manufactured that was when the Quintesons actually invaded cybertron and basically made the cybertronians their slaves and the ability was acquired ability and the allspark was an additional conduit to bring Cybertronians to life
Now the difference is that Gate is good but TF4 is Bad
Ooo. This is the one with the big oopsie lmao
Makes you wonder why he kept answering Bay's calls to have him come back and keep voice THIS version of Optimus.
@kanseiyamazaru435 now that's a mystery I wasn't aware of
@@kanseiyamazaru435 Money. As much as he may hate the version, he certainly needed the money at his age.
@@UncleAsmos2005 well fair enough. Even the best got to eat, right?
so cute to know you went to see sing 2 with your lil girl
mr "i had a sister in chicago" is one of my most hated people, just from how moronic he is to blame the autobots for the decepticon invasion and just killing them because of it
Yeah well, his sister died in Chicago. You're not getting any sympathy from him
ofcourse, my apologies for not realising he was such an emotional man
22:40 While Pantheon might be a bit too on the side of AI being better than real life (season 2 especially) it's still a good one.
3 times? We're eating good
I'm sorry what.... pantheon HAS A SEASON 2!?
NGL, I love the idea of 40k transformers
1:02:52
Not my Optimus
16:30. Death of the author, my friend. Death of the author.
Yeah those 2 scenes with that one loli were awkward... But at least is just 2 scenes one for each of the 2 seasons
Yo, Lythero uploaded the Shadow the Hedgehog Final Ending video, you should react to it
Well the thing with The Boys isn't just that it's anti far-right but also the fact the writer has nosesical definition of far-right to point of thinking the concept of a super hero is inherently right wing, basically just as delusional as Homelander admirers but in the reverse way
What's that song he edited in about making money? I need to hear that.
ruclips.net/video/_wYtG7aQTHA/видео.htmlsi=-8uyW-ObbUK7uWj2
I heard a lot about Kimba the white lion and this is the first time I hear that it didn't come before The lion King, brother you sure your not the one having the Mandela effect influencing you?
My statement was made in haste. I meant to say that by claiming Kimba came first people imply that the lion king ripped it off, despite the two being completely different movies
Rory Mercury being a loli makes all the great parts of her less great, and I hate that.
10:57 I liked it though
13:21 Hey, at least GATE is actually entertaining! QUESTIONABLE sometimes yes, pure Japanese military glorification and patriotism, yes. But at least it’s entertaining!
Very subjective.
Hey Jack just to counter argument what you said about the boys season 4 personally I liked it. I understand that you think it was subtle in season 1 and 2 but they literally had a Nazi in season 2 it was never subtle. I don't think it was ramping up to tell the right wing audience to fuck off. It was ramping up because it was the natural conclusion of a five season show
I may be wrong about this but when you said why didn't Optimus die he got shot in the chest" I read somewhere that The Matrix of Leadership provides whomever has it in this case if nothing changed Optimus Prime Near unlimited Energon so he's constantly healing cause Transformers need Energon to heal to put it simply he is immortal so long as that Matrix remains in his chest don't know if it's cannon buts its cool to think about
I don't like the end of pantheon season 2, it completely destroy any good sentiment on that series
Ah, yes. The movie where bay accepted communism and sold franchise's soul to get by.
And the "I'm an inventor" part? Look what cade not only did to his friend in consequence, but his family & whole life as a result. Yikes. So much for being an inventor, I guess
That is an interesting law Texas. Do you want to explain yourself?
I feel like transformers knights would work with the actual dragon transformers from transformers prime🤔hmmm
Aaahhh mark Wahlberg my behated
No but fr tho even without knowing anything about him i found his face very hatable
k axtually liked the newer trilogy
would love to see you react to epic the musical
Did anyone else when they where younger think Cade was secretly an aged up older Sam Witwiki who changed his name to avoid the government? I also thought it since his daughter his blonde like the girl from DOTM is
This was 9 year old me logic so dont judge me lmao
Nah when I was a kid my logic is very simple: He doesn't look like Sam, so he's not Sam. Similar to Mikaela and Nicola.
OK
reacting to RUclips videos huh
GATE is my guilty pleasure, leave Rory Mercury alone.
Oh boy even if we don't talk about Rory, there's still that diplomat dude with the girl who's clearly not even 15. I used to love that anime until they the harem becomes so annoying it snuffed out my enjoyment of it. There's a similar manga to this called Nihonkoku Shoukan and it's pure Japan military power flexing on them feudalism imperials.
@ lmao I completely forgot about him. I blocked that relationship out of my mind like a traumatic experience. Also the MC technically being married to the 16 year old mage in the other world. Oof. I’ll definitely have to check out that other one, love me some ‘welcome to the future’ flexing
In the wise words of legendary Transformers toy reviewer JobbyTheHong:
"It's not funny; it's not sexy - it's just gross, creepy, and weird."
The video on The Last Knight is my favorite of his though, with the one exception being that I think that Cybertronian Knights is a fantastic idea.
Yeah agree here, the movie would be 10 times better if you just remove the humans, 5 times better if you remove the Romeo and Juliet law scene and just make the daughter over 18. Gotta love lockdown or the dinobots either way
I think the concept and surface idea of Age of Extinction is really solid. They simply dropped the ball in the execution.
speaking of reverse isekais. although GATE just becomes a generic harem where dragons don't do anything because "TANK STRONGER". There are some out there that does explore strategy from real life history and incorporates it in a fantasy world. in other words watch Drifters thank
There's a manga where entire country of Japan was isekai-ed to a fantasy world and they weren't hesitant on doing carpet bombing them imperials. It's called Nihonkoku Shoukan. Really good read.
Toy Story 4 was good though.
I don't feel like it is.
I didn't like it
Not really but there’s been a lot worse
Not bad but completely unnecessary
@@StolasFan547 I don't like this logic of "A isn't that bad because B is worse". It's a very flawed way of viewing things.
Boy, I've been waiting for this reaction.
What I wasn't expecting was "Not Like Us" playing and somewhat fitting this mess of a movie. 🤌
