I wonder that how we can make this without t-splines? How can I make it with control points curve? Should I make rebuild it to shape its form precisely?
Hey Burak! Honestly, this could be created without t-splines, but much much harder than with t-splines. In order to create it only in Rhino, you'd have to draw nurbs curves first, place them in 3D based on the reference images, and then slowly build the surfaces and modify them along the way. Again, this is a very complex process and takes a lot of fixes, going back and forth and so on. A similar process would be used when you'd want to create cars and such designs. Hope that helps a bit :)
Hi Carlos, T-splines doesn't work with Rhino 6, if you have Rhino 6 license, you can download Rhino WIP (rhino 7) version and use sub-d tools. Sub-d tools are similar to T-splines but they are still work in progress.
Hey! Thanks for the tutorial! I have some problem with crease command (3.54 on video). When I use crease/or remove crease there is no visible change in display - the corners of a surface are not getting smooth. Do you know what's going on? (I think it's a matter of settings)
So this plugin is called T-splines for Rhino. Unfortunately, this plugin is not an active plugin for Rhinoceros 6, (but it is available for Rhino 5) anymore because Autodesk bought this company and now this plugin is implemented in another software called Fusion 360 from Autodesk. The plugin can still be downloaded from here for Rhino 5: www.tsplines.com/latest_version/ Hope that helps :)
Hi Arman, Thanks for commenting. You're welcome! Glad you found this content useful :) As for the Clayoo, I am personally not a big fan of it, so I don't have any plans to make tutorials with Clayoo, but if there is enough interest from the community I might reconsider it. I am still a big fan of T-splines :)
Hey, crstf! Thanks for your comment. Actually, no, this is not a script. This is an integral command of T-splines. It's called "toggle mode", and it switches between the "box" mode and "smooth" mode once you click "TAB" key on your keyboard. That's the default option. Hope that helps. :)
Can you make a tutorial for this stool? I tried modeling the part where the leg is attached and the rest of the stool separately and then joining them together but the leg part is angled and the curves around them intersect and I don't know how to get the intersected curve right. pin.it/7dHhzVX

Hi! What plug ins are those pick ones ? My Rhino doesn't have most of those commands
What if you don't have 2D ref images but instead only 3D perspective/real pictures?

I'd have to look at your file Rafal to get a better idea. Feel free to send me an email at dusan@howtorhino.com and I'll see what I can do for you.

HI, I AM SIJIA, I HAVE A QUESTION , AT 3.28MINS, HOW DID YOU MOVE THE PLATFORM, THERE IS NO DOTS FOR ME TO MOVE WHEN I TRIED IT
I selected the vertex icon, so the dots become visible :) lower left corner :D
@@HowtoRhino but i could not find the vertex Icon , lower left corner in my rhino , i also could not find the pink platform in my rhino
Pink platform is a plugin called T-splines and if you don't see it, it means that you don't have it installed :)
thanks for your great tutorials... do you have any plans for modeling with clayoo?
