hi lisa & glen the town of williams arizona was founded in 1882 and named for bill williams mountain which is a volcanic peak that rises above it . its also known for being on route 66 and the gateway to the grand canyon. there is a bit of history on the area . have fun the canyon is breath taking
Williams ,Arizona is a combination of genuine and a tourist destination for those doing Route 66 , the original route from Chicago to California. A real authentic piece of old America

I wish I'd been able to travel to meet up with you. There's mountain passes to cross both to travel to California and to Seattle and unfortunately in winter they are very icy and snowy. But you had some wonderful adventures and I'm happy for that. I absolutely loved your videos from America! And I'm so impressed with Glens ability to drive everywhere on the right side of the road! Kudos to you Glen!😊❤

That was a fantastic log in some parts it was very emotional in the canyon and you even mentioned a helicopter it just brought back to me how much my mum loved America she did the canyon helicopter ride a few times and was so full of it when she came back but to see it through your camera bought her excitement back to me so thanks guys the month has gone so quickly,I wish I felt fitter I’d go again tomorrow.lots of love xxx
Hi Alan we saw the helicopters going through the size of the place made them look like a little spec. Certainly an amazing place and hopefully we will get back her in the future :)

Excellent video! I'm sad that I missed the premiere last night. I'm at some friend's home over on the Olympic Peninsula (which you now know where that is), helping take care of the 94 year old mother, so I was busy. I'm so very happy that you went to the Grand Canyon and got to experience the awesome beauty of it. It does take your breath away. So much of our country is like that, in my experience. I get overwhelmed with the beauty all of the time. It is such a privilege to have met both of you and I hope you have a wonderful trip home. When I was much younger we sometimes used to have "treasure hunts" - groups of us in cars. I was always the navigator. I think I was the only female who didn't have to turn the map round in the direction we were going! Those were the days!@@ALifeFullofMeaning
We drove the same road in July but in the opposite direction,the temp was a bit different it was 118 degrees and stayed at The Excalibur.Hope the rest of your trip goes well.PS (We live near Brixham)
That was just marvelous! Your tiny house certainly was off the beaten track but so cute! When you were driving back from Malibu and saying "look at the view" I was thinking "No Glen, don't look at the view, watch the road" . Laughed when you said he can watch the video😂.

I am from America and I have never been to Williams,AZ but per the internet, the downtown area is known for the Route 66 museum and has trends of today and its heyday of the 1950’s and 1960’s. So those cars and things were more tourist attractions but very nice indeed in see such lovely blasts from the past.
Hi Kate thank you for the insight on Williams i wish we could of actually stopped there for a bit but we wanted to get to the accommodation before dark. We love all the differences in the US and hopefully a return soon will be on the cards :)

gas so expensive because of the State you are in. here in Florida gas is like $3.65 a gallon. So western states really screw you with prices
We found it abit cheaper but the station of the road in the middle nowhere was $7 !!!!
