Hello Dan and Bailey I learned a while back ago about the reason for you twisting the straps I have learned so much from watching your videos thank you all of this is so interesting you and Bailey have a blessed drive and come home safely...
HEY Dan, about the twisted straps, I have always put a twist on them and you will sometimes see these guys going down the road and those things are popping like crazy, the straps damage insulation and shippers won't let trucks leave the lot till they twist them. Keep pumping out videos , I look for you daily , your the best, Keep on trucking, BE SAFE.
Hey Dan !!! Thanks for the updates !! The look on Bailey as you are talking is amazing as she is trying to figure out who you are talking too !! HAHA 🙃😊🤔🤠😎👍👍👍
To Mrs Teresa HEY. SPTD your keeping them big wheels rolling which is good. You and 🐶 seems happy. 🚛🚑🚒🚓 And the military doing what you do best. Trying to keep America going. Appreciate it. SAFE TRAVELS 🚛💨💨💨💨
Dan I see flatbed trailer on the road and they just flappin in the wind and I've been watching you for years when you go down the road yours don't flap and that's what I like 👍👍👍
You’re certainly correct on twisting the straps, I was driving alongside one flatbed that wasn’t and what a sound, I would think that would wear out the straps a lot sooner
Hi Dan I thought I saw you near brooksville , FL I was visiting my brother and drove by the rest area on 275 and that orange & black truck caught my eye Did not think their could be more than one truck like yours
For those wondering what the song is at 10:25, it's called "Cancel the Meeting" by Tricycle Riot. Love that song because it adds a little flair to any situation.
Hi, Dan. It is Bob (a retired O.O.). I live in Ocala, FL and if I knew you were going to be stopping, I would have tried to meet up with you at the rest area. Give Bailey a head rub for me. God Bless and stay safe/well.
There are a couple studies done that found that a twist in the strap doesn't weaken it at all. Google it. They measured the weight needed to break them and found it made no difference.
So way back in 2010 I delivered in Clearwater Fla! Bounced back to San Antiono for a sss! I am sure that all knows what thats mean! Then back on the road!
It's a crying shame you have to explain yourself on what you are doing..half these people shouldn't be allowed to breed .. like your videos Dan. Keep on ..
Hey Dan, ever thought of taking a load up to Alaska? I drive the highway weekly hauling fuel and saw Mercer at the scale the other day, and it made me think of you.
Chad, I have driven that highway over two dozen times starting in 1964. Much improved over the years, but this long, looonng time Alaskan would never submit his own truck to the bumps and potholes and mud and dirt of the Alcan Hyway.
I think Jonathan W on RUclips tested a twisted strap, as opposed to an untwisted strap and found very little difference in strap strength. I believe he also tested a strap with a knot in it.
I would have went on up to Wildwood and got it washed and checked out the chrome shop too. I keep saying im gonna make it to the truck show they have every year. Maybe next year
Haven't heard "Shooby Doo, Shooby Doo" in quite a while...nice!
Florida was easy to drive in, was there a lot, but for some reason never did like it, don't know why

I had a friend who clocked in at 33:59 on a 34 hour reset, the DOT overlords were not happy.

Hi Dan
I saw a Mercer truck this week while I was walking,!!!
You’re certainly correct on twisting the straps, I was driving alongside one flatbed that wasn’t and what a sound, I would think that would wear out the straps a lot sooner
It’s not that bad, I live here. I’ve seen some of the truck stops you go that aren’t that great.
Great video Dan and keep up the great work Buddy

Love your videos. Great music also. Take care Bailey too.
Hey Dan your videos is great I seen you today on i10 in sunny Florida sure wished I could have said hello truck and trailer was clean
Travel safe, Dan!!! Thanks for the video.
Truck wash waiting music you selected reminds me of certain music from Butch Cassidy and Sundance Kid movie. Lol.
Great video editing Dan. Been watching your be work for several years. Very nice opening segment music.
I was told about putting a twist in my boat-trailer strap thirty years ago. It prevents "buzzing" but more important, stops the strap from fraying.
Dan, you always seem to “knock another video out of the park”.....well done
Hi Dan, I enjoy the city driving segments
Thanks Dan , for your Newest Video # 585 Have a Great Weekend!
Your spoiled from having that apartment behind you. That's a fine place to stop. This is where I used to do my 34 HR restarts.
Hi Dan I thought I saw you near brooksville , FL I was visiting my brother and drove by the rest area on 275 and that orange & black truck caught my eye
Did not think their could be more than one truck like yours
Another good video 👍 KEEP ON TRUCKIN 🚛 🇺🇲 👍
Dan I love your videos. It sure would be nice if you would film more of the road between loads and unloads.
I was taught to always put a twist in the straps. That was a long time ago.
The videos are much better when you show loading and unloading
Cool video thanks Dan….stay safe and hydrated out there and Bailey too….
For those wondering what the song is at 10:25, it's called "Cancel the Meeting" by Tricycle Riot. Love that song because it adds a little flair to any situation.
Thanks Dan
Huntsville Al is close to my home. I was hoping to see you in that big orange truck.🙂
As usual, nicely done.
Thanks Dan. Hope you have a good rest. Blessings
A very nice video again, safe travels Dan.

From every side I look at the little red Corvette it looks good. From the imperial co California.
Keep up the good work Dan
Cool video Dan 👍
Much Enjoyed !! H.
Love your videos
Was taught to twist them when I first started flat bedding especially when hauling foam boards. It won’t beat huge chunks out of the boards.
There are a couple studies done that found that a twist in the strap doesn't weaken it at all. Google it. They measured the weight needed to break them and found it made no difference.
Spent a few restarts at that flying j
Must be new subs dan because you’ve explained the twist in your strap a hundred times
Nice music.
So way back in 2010 I delivered in Clearwater Fla! Bounced back to San Antiono for a sss! I am sure that all knows what thats mean! Then back on the road!
Shit Shower N’ Shave 🤣🤣🤣✌🏻🤙🏻
Hello Dan,
How are you getting along with your exercising while on the road? Is Bailey able to keep up with you?
Take care Teresa, Bailey!
It's a crying shame you have to explain yourself on what you are doing..half these people shouldn't be allowed to breed .. like your videos Dan. Keep on ..
Camping out 👍

It’s all paved now
I see you’re at ssab right now I got a picture of ya if you come to shipping I’ll get a good look at that unit
Sister-in-law used to live near Indian Rocks. Tampa. The others live up I-55 Near Sardis Lake.
I believe that was the rest area near mile marker 346? Been there lots of times!
Looking at Bayley in the window she looks like Batman peeking out for the Joker
I always put a twist in my straps, I felt that I could make them a little tighter.
Not sure Why viewers question the Twist in the Straps for someone with as much Experience as you have ? 🤪
Think of a twist in the strap like an airplane propeller. Has that curve in the blades so as to cut through the air more efficiently
Should’ve gone up to Wildwood,75 Chrome shop is like Xmas
That’s it come on man!
I think Jonathan W on RUclips tested a twisted strap, as opposed to an untwisted strap and found very little difference in strap strength. I believe he also tested a strap with a knot in it.
Diesel fuel 5.34 in NW Wisconsin
That’s Crazy!
10:25, there it is, that tuné, Trucker Dan tune, whats it called? Love it!
Are news here in Uruguay says the United States has 2 week of diesel fuel and expect prices to go over 10 dollars. What have you heard?
I would have went on up to Wildwood and got it washed and checked out the chrome shop too. I keep saying im gonna make it to the truck show they have every year. Maybe next year
I have waited several hours to get a truck wash there. They used to be 24/7, not anymore
Indiana gives tickets for twists in a strap.
My biggest concern these days is which break room do I want visit here in the plant. I really don't miss the road at all.
Did you see @TruckingWithSchmidt see you the other day. It’s fun to see RUclips guys meet up.
Those guys that don't want a twist in the strap have never had the lights in the mirror with those straps vibrating it only takes once
Enjoy watching your loading and unloading processes. But people need to understand some facilities won't permit this.
It’s crazy here in Canada fleets are 1 dollar per mile for driving flatbed with 2004 truck
Hey Dan did you know Indiana Jack.
