This video is was put out just in time for us we have our first show at the end of October with our 4 La Manchas and I have never shaved a goat so this was helpful.
i have a county fair coming up in like 3 weeks and im showing a newbian so this help me so so much i am a little nervous to clip her but im practice on one of my other goats im not showing, LOL
I know this is a few years old now, hoping you see this. I'm out of practice with not having fair/shows last year and having only participated once before. How far in advance of fair or shows do you clip with the 7?
When you have time would you please show everyone how to pasteurize colostrum milk for the kids, especially if you have no pasteurized colostrum in the freezer? I have never pasteurized colostrum and would like to know how! Please...Thank You ❤️
My Maria I actually don’t pasteurize colostrum. Our whole herd tests CAE negative every year, so I let the kids have fresh colostrum from their dam. I pasteurize commingled milk for any kids we bottle feed. The last thing I’d want to do is risk a whole kid crop if something were to pop up. I will try to find a link for pasteurizing colostrum for you.
Good video! How did you get started with goats? I hope you can make some more videos soon! Evelyn must be ticklish lol. Congrats on her show placement :)
I got started because I needed a supply of fresh milk for my cheesemaking. It proceeded to blow up from there. We have three cheeses aging now, hope they turn out well :)
We did a video on making yogurt in the instant pot. If you don't have one, you can follow the same steps, just heat the milk to 185 on the stove then cool back down to 100 before adding your starter cultures. I used to incubate it in the oven with the oven light on and the door held ajar with a tea towel. That seems to hold it a good temperature. ruclips.net/video/UqqIMSWiorI/видео.html

And Evelyn told you she wanted to do all this??!! What a prima donna!
Mine are shaggy and proud of it. They have no aspirations to glamour!
So maybe it is not her favorite thing in the world, but it sure helps us sell goats!
👋👋
I wish some of these videos would quit forwarding it's not fare to those who are trying watch and learn something
Is it RUclips’s new ads causing it?
For Evelyn to have taken first place you must have done a great job. She truly is beautiful.
