Give yourself some more credit for this. And remember that what seems intimidating now will feel super easy soon enough-- just like everything else you've learned and built upon felt like at first. And a little aside: instead of directly copy&pasting from SO, try re-typing it-- helps you understand what's going on a little better and retain the information more in case you have to apply it again somewhere else!

Some time ago, my mom got me convinced that I can’t talk french even though it’s my native language, and that demotivates me to do any french homework.
