Buy a foam trekking/hiking mattress of at-least 1 cm thickness. It'd be best if you carry an air mattress (albeit expensive than the foam mattress) since you have bike you can use air-pump apparatus very easily. Good-luck for your future trips.

You are suggesting few things wrong. I lived in dense forest in sikkim, we use bone fire to protect our self .. You are saying completely opposite that bone fire will attract animals ..
