I've never played Necromunda. Is it really expected that all players have minis that are representative of the character's exact equipment? I completly understand that some people are willing and able to do this, but is it something that's commonly enforced? Thanks for the review!
I believe so according to the rules which means you can end up having 30+ miniatures to represent the different weapon options for 10 fighters! Luckily it doesn't seem too commonly enforced though as most folks are more laid back just saying that the equipment should be generally the same e.g. a laspistol standing in for a plasma pistol
I’m *just* getting into Necromunda. I would say that yes, generally players should try to have equipment or at the very least, the appropriate weapons represented on their minis. Gangs are small, and each box gives you 10 minis with several different weapon load outs possible. At that scale, it’s much less confusing to play if each ganger has the correct weapons equipped vs “this ganger has a stub pistol but really he’s carrying an autogun. This one here with the shock stave actually has a long rifle instead, and the one there with the shotgun really has a web gun.” Starting out, you’re very likely to only have the box contents anyway.

Usually yes but if you can magneitise or create exchangeble weapons/arms go for it

It's a real shame that it's so hard to come by, because for someone like me who doesn't make much, those $300 sets are kinda out of reach...
Couldn't agree more! It was a real struggle to get hold of this and those expensive sets are such a barrier to entry
