For what it’s worth. Your reviews are genuinely the most entertaining in comparison to others. As a kid, I’d want reviews to praise the figure, as an adult I prefer reviews that let me know if I’m spending my money wisely. Thanks for being straight forward!
I was so sad when Toy Park said they had the original in the 1980s and then sold out, but my Dad ran all the way far downtown to Forbidden Planet nearly an hour away to pick it up for me in the 1980's when I was a little kid, he was the best Dad, RIP.
I got the blue version, very nicely done... I've come to the conclusion that none of things we get are perfect so I can enjoy the positives without letting the negatives get to me... too much anyway lmao
It's been a long wait, but happy this set is nearly complete. I have the FT dinobots which will be my bot mode and went with Chrome Gigapower for that toy look/dino mode. Normally not a big chromg guy, but the paint on these Giga figures looks amazing under lights.
I've got the red version on the way. The negatives are noteworthy but at the same time not a big deal to me. I love every millimeter of this MP style Swoop. Still love my Fans Toys Soar, but Giga's version is king to me. Cool review.
I would only buy a blue swoop if I was into collecting "diaclone" based variants.give me the red any day (the colour the original swoop toy was and the colour he SHOULD have been in the cartoon /comic)
Those hinged clips on his shoulders are stuck behind the wings. There's another hinge closer to the bump his legs plug into, and you have to bend the wing back at that hinge to get access to the clips. As you noted, though, it doesn't seem to make a huge difference. Oh, and the little dino hands on the wings? If the silver paint against the chrome wings bothers you the hands pop out. They're just pegged on. I kind of prefer them off, because they're kind of in the way if you put the launchers on his wings, and I don't recall him having those little claws in the cartoon anyway. Otherwise, good review. I agree with pretty much most of what you said. It's a gorgeous display piece (especially when you get the dino mode on the display stand), but the lack of painted dino mode eyes is lazy and the feet are just poorly designed. Those are pretty significant gripes that bring down an otherwise excellent figure.
I love Swoop always my favorite dinobot, prefer the blue but he looks great, have slag snarl, just thinking about it awhile b4 I buy, thanks 2 Skully for a great helpful review. 👍😻Want 2see what Grimlock looks like 1st
I got all four of the Gigasaurs so far. I'm very pleased with them. Getting the chrome finish at a decent price is a real feather in their caps. As is their approach to releases - no getting distracted by other projects and focusing, instead, on getting the job done - I feel like this respects the significant investment of time and money of fans collecting the line - well done, Gigapower! Gaudenter is, I think, my favourite so far. My criticisms would be: I use the translucent beak and would've liked chrome rather than metallic for the gold interior; the heel spurs on mine are loose and capable of rocking further back than level with the underside of the foot meaning they struggle to support the figure; I'd've liked a toy-style visored face option. One piece of neutral feedback. The gold chrome pieces down the front of the thighs are glued on - the glue is strong enough but the chrome it's glued to is not so they tend to fall off. A little dab of superglue is all that's required to pop them back on forever and, in my experience, this is common to any glued-on chrome piece so is not a criticism of Giga nor a criticism at all. My positives: He feels big enough alongside the others (often, I think people make Swoop too small); He's well-designed (most 3P dino's fail at Swoop - Fansproject, Fanstoys maybe, Toyworld definitely) so you can be reassured he won't let down an expensive set; they used a swap-out alternate dino head which I much prefer to the translucent armour of the previous three (If Giga put out a set of translucent replacement dino heads with Chrome underneath, I'd definitely buy); His Dino mode has enough posability to have some real personality; his transformation doesn't feel like a chore. Overall, I think he's great!
Are the Glory days of 3rd Party MP's gone? Time will tell .....I hope Fans Toys knocks Motormaster out of the park !!! Looking forward to the Producers Producer review....hopefully soon.
@@kyllerkill MP's have been hit & miss of recent for me that is. I am stoked to have finished off the Zeta / Toyworld combiners I was late to the game with Omega Supreme but did select DX9 and I am happy that said I have high expectations for Masterpiece non combiners / City Bots may be because I also collect Metal Build Gundams and SOC Super Robots.....that's why I love Flame Toys have Drift & Tarn......Fans Toys Cyclonus was awesome and to be honest looking to upgrade Fans Toys Springer with MMC Springer.
Great review. They recently have him on preorder at a popular 3rd party site. Dude, is this the video where you realized your buddy switched out tigatracks? I saw your video about the switch recently. Keep up the good work buddy. Not sure you’ll see this though.
I would appreciate your opinion. I have the FT Dino's, but I think Swoop is a little too small for the res, in my opinion. I was think about standing the Gigapower on with the rest of the FT ones. Other than the style, would that work, or would Swoop be taller than the FT ones and end up not looking right? Thanks.
Great review sir! I'm going for the blue metallic when it comes out. Stronger ankles, knees, and hips would have done much to improve this guy, still not hateful.
Bobby how would you compare this paint job to a flame toys figure because this seems like it has the closest amount of paint and detail to a flame toys figure
Awesome review but can anyone explain to me why Tigertracks is his comparison of choice? I've been watching BSF for a long time but clearly not long enough to know where that joke starts.
I think it's only me because I haven't heard the same from others, but I don't like the shape of the bot head and the face sculpt itself. I feel that the head was shaped to connect to the rest of the ptero head, but it has a sculpt that I don't dig. I don't think that Fanstoys Soar's face sculpt is way better either, but the shape of the head looks more well shaped in my opinion. But once again, seems that it's me, not him haha.
So... the head needs a shot of clear coat or something because it chips like crazy no matter how careful you are when you plug it into the beck. At least on the blue chrome version.
Hey Bobby I would love to get your take on the price point for these figures. You handle em before we do and just would love your opinion. Thanks for the videos.
Really loving our swoop. But why is he the only member to have black feet all the rest have had gold. He's like the friend that turns up at your wedding wearing trainers. Casual old swoop.
hanzo hattori instead of the translucent chrome gold and other toy related details; I would like to see the solid yellow and what not. Less chrome basically. I’m probably the only one who wants them that way.
For the record, there is no such dinosaur or flying reptile called a "Pteradactyl." Erase that from your mind. There is however a flying reptile called a "Pteradactylus," but it doesn't have a crest or is anywhere near the size of the Pteranodon, that Swoop represents. You can use Pterosaur to correctly name the family of flying reptiles, though. Anyway, great review and I am certainly getting the Blue version of the Gigapower Gigasaurs. I like that you seem to have come around to the quality that they create in comparison to the lackluster and smaller FansToys Dinobots. Odd that people are swapping out their FT Soar for Gigapower Gaudenter, but that's just more funds for their Grimlock, lol. Plus they scale so much better than even tge MP Grimlock (which I felt was Generations/CHUG-scale). I also would like you make get all these (unbroken) si you'd have them in Dinobot mode. =P. Keep up the great work, man!
This is why I enjoy your reviews, you just tell it like it is. I'm so glad I went with Fans Toys, so much better than Gigapower in every regard as far as I'm concerned. But as we like to say, if you have this and you like it, you win. Great stuff man, thanks for taking the time!

I'm calling it, Tigertracks is Bobby Skullface's official mascot!
Is the official stunt of this show.
I always kinda figured that if Bobby ever took off the skull mask, there would just be a Tigertracks mask underneath.
Can’t wait for my metallic version
