In Australia all branding is in the same font on a white box which includes images of the potential dangers of smoking eg: lung cancer, terminally ill people that have smoked in the past to hopefully steer people away from buying their first packet of cigarettes. It won’t necessarily steer people away that are addicted, but it may help someone who was on the fence with starting smoking change their mind

This would help keep children away from being interested in it but like ... Your parents should already be doing that. The US cut smoking down in teens from 23% to 5% just through education alone. Honestly once you ACTUALLY want to it isn't hard to just stop. I'll never forget the day I quit and it was a long time ago, I just woke up and said nope and then never smoked again. I don't really know what PG is, but it's used in many other products (such as inhalers). And VG is just derived from vegetable oil. Nicotine is still pretty bad for you, but it's still much better getting from vaping since (unlike cigarettes) vapes do not produce tar.
As my parent was suffering from lung cancer (unfortunately work related, they didn’t smoke), they had a roommate in the hospital suffering from COPD. This person, who told us they used to be a theatre actor, was beetroot red from coughing so much. It was horrifying to hear them asking for more morphine to cope, only to be told they had to wait. Yes, dying to a lung cancer is excruciating (tumour broke at least 2 of my parent’s ribs), but at least in our case my parent didn’t choke to death.
Started smoking at 15. At 23, i made it up to 6 packs a week!! It's awful how unhealthy and expensive my addiction was. I'm down to not even one smoke a day, thanks to vaping. I've switched to the chewing gums you can get at drug stores, or in pharmacy aisles. They're less dangerous and cheaper than smoking/vaping, but I'm still honestly very much addicted to nicotine lol

It used to be very common but then started to go on a decline as something only old people did and it was seen as gross and uncool but by the time that cigarettes started to decline vapes started being pushed out and marketed more and becoming more popular and we have middle schoolers vaping now which is “cooler” doesn’t stink and they can smoke as much as they want in the bathrooms without it smelling like cigarettes, it’s just fruity or candy smells now.
I'm from USA but from a very rural low income area in the Appalachian mountains and it is very very common here to smoke and especially dip and chewing tobacco (yes there is a difference) so it's really more high end and higher educated areas in usa you see less smoking and less use of drugs in general. Ive traveled a good amount for work and you can see the drastic difference within the same city. You drive a couple blocks one way and you start seeing people slaming right in public on the street. My crazy dad atleast did it in his shed. Lol
when i was in psych ward, many ppl there smoked, and i basically became a second-hand smoker because ppl kept smoking every second. I was there for 3 months and by that time I learned to tell which cigarette i was smelling. mind you, nobody from my family smokes, neither I, never did. now when i smell a cigarette i have same reaction just like Charlie.
When I was in the psych ward they wouldn't let me smoke (because I could hurt myself with it) so I had to stand in line 4 times a day to get a piece of gum that my insurance wouldn't cover and I would be SURE TO PAY FOR. It made me VIOLENTLY hiccup and I didn't poop the ENTIRE STAY. 0/10 glad it closed

As someone who used to smoke Camel Crush cigarettes, you can't just crush the menthol ball in the filter, light the end of the cigarette, and then smell menthol. You need to drag the smoke through the filter by inhaling to taste and/or smell the menthol.

The difference between a full flavor or full body cigarette and a light cigarette is holes in the filter. "light" cigarettes have holes in the filter paper which cuts down on the thickness/harshness of the smoke. Otherwise they are exactly the same

Newport 100 menthols … I gave up the newports about 6 weeks ago now, for the most part, even though I’ve had a real cig here and there bumming them, but no packs bought. Tho I have been using a vape to get my nicotine fix. My grandfather was a Camel and NewPort man, when he would ask me to bring him one, I would keep one for myself. Lol when I moved to TX I became a Marlboro girl then vaped and now I do nothing. I haven't smoked nor vaped in 7 years now.

On a serious note when my grandfather decided to quit smoking he told me that the hardest thing was not the nicotine addiction but the process of a repetitive action. so he replaced it by sucking on honee eucalyptus candy every time he had the itch he would suck on the hard candy and over time he stopped having the itch and stopped sucking the candy. Never smoked again
My grandpa did this with dumdum lollipops and it resulting in him losing his teeth lol, a worthy price to pay for keeping his lungs healthy I guess

I lost my dad to cigarettes when I was 17, so I'm really happy to see these guys trashing cigarettes. My dad was incredibly lucky, surviving 20-30 heart attacks before the last one got him (We lost count, and he stopped going to the hospital for them, that's how many he had)
Fuck cigarettes, and to every smoker reading this, please try to do whatever you can to stop, it doesn't just affect your life, I was surrounded by cigarette smell my entire childhood, it affects everyone around you, especially the people you love.
Preach it man we need to move more people to patches and vaping and get them off the cancer sticks. I lost my grandfather to cancer he was only in his 50s and I believe it was because of smoking. If more people realized how little ingredients there are in vaping they would all switch, but truth is lying to them to keep them hooked on the cancer sticks.
I mean its simple, would you rather smoke cyanide, tar, pesticides, carbon dioxide, beryllium, arsenic and formaldehyde OR water vapor with nicotine.
@@nitroxylictv it's not actually vapor, apparently it's an aerosol. Anyway, vape juice contains 3 main ingredients: PG, VG, and Nicotine. I don't really know what PG is, but it's used in many other products (such as inhalers). And VG is just derived from vegetable oil. Nicotine is still pretty bad for you, but it's still much better getting from vaping since (unlike cigarettes) vapes do not produce tar.
Ye smoking is terrible for you but it's people's own responsibility in the end. I don't agree with banning them.

As my parent was suffering from lung cancer (unfortunately work related, they didn’t smoke), they had a roommate in the hospital suffering from COPD. This person, who told us they used to be a theatre actor, was beetroot red from coughing so much. It was horrifying to hear them asking for more morphine to cope, only to be told they had to wait. Yes, dying to a lung cancer is excruciating (tumour broke at least 2 of my parent’s ribs), but at least in our case my parent didn’t choke to death.
Started smoking at 15. At 23, i made it up to 6 packs a week!! It's awful how unhealthy and expensive my addiction was. I'm down to not even one smoke a day, thanks to vaping. I still look like a dumbass for smoking in general, but it's just awful trying to quit in general. Wish i never, ever, ever started. Thsi video made me laugh so damn hard so thanks for that

I've switched to the chewing gums you can get at drug stores, or in pharmacy aisles. They're less dangerous and cheaper than smoking/vaping, but I'm still honestly very much addicted to nicotine lol

The anti smoking campaigns they had here were so effective. I was shocked when i went to europe and saw 13 year olds smoking.
It used to be very common but then started to go on a decline as something only old people did and it was seen as gross and uncool but by the time that cigarettes started to decline vapes started being pushed out and marketed more and becoming more popular and we have middle schoolers vaping now which is “cooler” doesn’t stink and they can smoke as much as they want in the bathrooms without it smelling like cigarettes, it’s just fruity or candy smells now.

I'm from USA but from a very rural low income area in the Appalachian mountains and it is very very common here to smoke and especially dip and chewing tobacco (yes there is a difference) so it's really more high end and higher educated areas in usa you see less smoking and less use of drugs in general. Ive traveled a good amount for work and you can see the drastic difference within the same city. You drive a couple blocks one way and you start seeing people slaming right in public on the street. My crazy dad atleast did it in his shed. Lol

when i was in psych ward, many ppl there smoked, and i basically became a second-hand smoker because ppl kept smoking every second. I was there for 3 months and by that time I learned to tell which cigarette i was smelling. mind you, nobody from my family smokes, neither I, never did.
now when i smell a cigarette i have same reaction just like Charlie.
When I was in the psych ward they wouldn't let me smoke (because I could hurt myself with it) so I had to stand in line 4 times a day to get a piece of gum that my insurance wouldn't cover and I would be SURE TO PAY FOR. It made me VIOLENTLY hiccup and I didn't poop the ENTIRE STAY. 0/10 glad it closed

As someone who used to smoke Camel Crush cigarettes, you can't just crush the menthol ball in the filter, light the end of the cigarette, and then smell menthol. You need to drag the smoke through the filter by inhaling to taste and/or smell the menthol.

The difference between a full flavor or full body cigarette and a light cigarette is holes in the filter. "light" cigarettes have holes in the filter paper which cuts down on the thickness/harshness of the smoke. Otherwise they are exactly the same
