Hello sir! Today i decided to spent some time to my windscreen washer on my T2 that that was never working before. Once i pulled out the tank i realised that there is nothing connected to it so this is why water was falling out when i was filling it (both were open). The motor would work only if i connect it through external 12V battery (if i press the lever would not provide 12V at all). This OK can be fixed by adding an external switch/button but i have no idea about the connection of the pipes to the tank. I only see one cap screwed on a hole of the tank but this would not have a pipe attached to it. Maybe i can try to send you email with a picture to understand better. Thank you!
sorry, i don't give out personal details. however, do you have any water pipes? there should be 2 coming into/out of the steering column. there is no 12v feed to the pnumatic leaver, but you can get an aftermarket kit to activate. you could take a 12v from the wiper motor and a momentary switch mounted in/on the dash
@@theplasteredfinger5942 Thanks for the reply i appreciate. I do not seem to find any pipes going to the washer tank, it looks that the previous owner tried to convert it electric but in the end for some reason gave up. (there is an electric pump behind the tank without connection to any pipe/hose and even the 12V cables connected to it will not provide any electricity as i found out with a multimeter however i tested this pump by providing 12V from a small battery and it works) I will have to remove everything on the front of the bus and follow the windshields to find out where the pipes go from there, if not any then i will need to install them. I guess both of them will have to finish in one pipe with the help of a T connector?. I give up for now as it is not a must do project until next winter, there are other priorities on the list. thank you.
hi John. i bought it through e-bay from "silicone hose shop" (not a sponsor) but just search 6mm non-return valve. there should be plenty, between £3 to £5
Fine work Billious :)
Thank you! Cheers!

Where did you get the non return valve from??
hi, john. bought it on ebay, there are several suppliers out there. just get a plastic one!
Mine looks absolutely nothing like this and it’s a 77 pickup with no water squirty
that could be because the bottle etc is missing!

@@theplasteredfinger5942 Incidentally, can you take back a non-return valve?
