This is what annoys me about the anime. Bakugo's trauma is played for laughs yet Shoto's trauma is taken seriously. As much as I like the characters, I don't like the anime itself. So I'm glad that someone made this. (Sorry if this seemed rude. Just saying my thoughts.)

Maybe I just grew up getting hit a lot when I did something bad and physical discipline is normalized for me, but from the scenes we got with Mitsuki, she isn’t a violent person. She was disciplining Katsuki when he spoke ill of her and Masaru across from his teacher of all things. She is clearly shown looking fondly at old memories of Katsuki and yeah, the words she said after Katsuki was kidnapped were harsh asf but I think everyone in this fandom knows that words don’t define a person. Nobody would like All Might, Katsuki, or Aizawa if that were the case. Just putting my opinion out there. Feel free to reply or completely ignore my comment if you don’t agree.
I mean i just grew up getting disciplining without getting hit is normalize for me as well, peoples may see mitsuki hit bakugo when talk about dorm front of teacher, it's similar to disciplining not abusive or violent attitude, that's just how if you are live in asian.
i could relate to bakugou attitude, that's how i can see him similar to me sometimes

i don’t think she’s violent but i do think that she’s partially to blame for how katsuki turned out. he was never taught to regulate his emotions, only taught to hit first speak later.
(nothing here is said in a rude way, i promise)
id first like to point outthat this is an AU.
second, mitsuki does actually push the physical abuse boundaries. no child should ever be hit in such ways that Katsuki is simply for their behaviour. it is completely uncalled for. yelling is a different story. but there is absolutely no reason to ever hit your own child. theres no excuse for it and should not be brushed off. i can very well asure you that Mitsuki could infact be imprisoned for hitting katsuki in the way she does when seen talking to Aizawa about the dorm room situation.
please note again none of this is meant to be said it a rude or disrespectful manner!
@@FthrFgre I see where you’re coming from, and I’d like to say that again, I was hit as a child as discipline so seeing it in media doesn’t phase me so that could just be my personal experience. I don’t necessarily love ab^sive mitsuki, but I like how you portrayed trauma in Katsuki because it is quite accurate.
l was never hit as a child and only time l got hit was on my back thigh during middle school but I would say bakugou getting hit by his mom could leave truma and he wasn't never shown how to control his emotions instead of just being hotheaded person and he doesn't know when to stop himself
The saddeet part was in the actual episode todoroki didnt clock the deeper meaning and took it as a joke
idk why the animators didnt dig deeper into it they're just like 'ah yeah no big deal ☺'
