I was really excited when the Snapdragon laptops came out. But it turns out their graphics suck and their incompatibility with certain software is frustrating. Lunar Lake and Arrow Lake are a major generational update. Arrow Lake, which is the higher performance version, will be coming out in Q4.
Overall the big advancement is that Windows laptops are quickly closing the gap between the Apple Macbook in terms of battery life.
This will also make the case for Snapdragon laptops even weaker, especially when you factor in the compatibility issues.

This is good for normal office usage ... but for me I still choose the new Ryzen: more multicore performance because of my needs.
But I guess a $1300 computer to do light task like web browsing, use office, it's expensive.

Interesting technology. I would take this over snapdragon any day. Snapdragon has compatability issues. Even though it will become less of an issue as time goes on I think it will never be completely solved. Great review.

I bought the Zenbook S 16 and I'm likely returning it. Compared to the Yoga Slim 7x, it still feels and acts like an X86 Windows laptop. It doesn't boot instantly, it runs hot, there are lag spikes, it doesn't recognize when it's in a bag, etc etc. I really wish the first gen Snapdragon laptops had better graphics so they could have killed x86 laptops once and for all.

Comparing the performance and battery life between the AMD chip and Lunar Lake, it seems Lunar is lagging way behind on performance, whilst charging ahead with battery life. Which makes sense of course. For me I want the extra performance, so I think I'll go for the AMD chip.

Only benefit I see from these Lunar laptops is battery life. You’re really only getting at most a 5% benefit in performance from the Series 1 chips. IMO these laptops should be priced at max $1200

A good V4 here, now Intel has to price it properly for a 4 real cores 4 threads CPU, maybe starting from $600... A honda civic doesn't cost as much as an Honda Pilot 🤡

You disable hyperthreading and then see what performance you will get. Use Cinebench to check performance.

    Ram not upgradable Is unacceptable
If they bring 128 GB of RAM in it as a base model, no problem.
