I spend so much time watching your videos and them drawing them out. Sometimes its a big fail, but if I try it twice it’s usually pretty dang good. I appreciate you taking the time to teach us your art, the how’s, the whys, the every stuffs. You are truly loved ! Thank you for your time and effort to help me be a better artist ❤
I watched your video while waiting for my mammogram and other cancer checks (I've had breast cancer), your voice, and the rhythm of the drawing was so calming. Now to get home and try it. Thank you ❤
I saw this comment when you posted it - but being so busy - I didn't have time to respond 😞. I truly hope you're doing well. Mammograms can be scary, especially in the situation you're in. Best wishes 🦋🌄🦋
All of your art feels like they are printed form. Im always speechless looking at how you draw. I have learnt so much from you just in short span of time. Once again really thank you. Lots of love. Keep growing ❤❤❤
Wow, thank you! I'm glad you're enjoying my work. Even if I weren't sharing any of this online, I would still do this every day for my own benefit. It's so wonderful to know that by sharing I can help encourage others to start drawing. I'm glad you're learning💙 and enjoying the journey.
I find it so humbling to see in your comments that you are surprised at how much people enjoy and are in awe of your amazing work, I love that about you!!. Your ability to create such seemingly complex work is eye opening, you work so fast, but you also break down each piece, how it works and how simple each design actually is. Thank you for sharing the work which you would be doing for yourself anyway. 😊♥️
it is called mZentangle, by Martha and Rick the creators of the zentangle method. You can find the step outs if you google the zentangle 100 day project
I've just found your beautiful black ink drawings and I love them. I'm not doing a full drawing yet, I'm starting with small pages and practicing each one separately. I'm itching to do a full one with all the different designs.....patience! I know I'll be a lot happier. Thank you so much for these beautiful designs. You make it look so easy 😅.
I started drawing a few months ago and I’m so glad I found you! I watch so many videos but you have quickly become my favorite. Thank you for the inspiration.
Just gorgeous! It is so impressive, matching your talents, imagination, and abilities. I just love the movement and flow of all the participants. Thank you for sharing. It is much appreciated.
Thanks again for a great lesson. You answered every question I asked after yesterday’s video. This really helps me let go of preconceived ideas for a drawing and just do it. I think the hard part for me to let go of is the idea that they all have to be “keepers”. I needed the reminder that we all need practice and that it’s okay to combine any shapes or patterns we think of. It’s practice and we learn from all of them. And, if we really dislike a drawing we can throw it away and begin again. Thanks so much!
I'm a new subscriber and I'm glad I found you. You're helping me get my passion for drawing back. Thank you for posting and please keep up the good work!
Love your tutorials and I enjoy watching your intricate designs come to life. Appreciate the clear, concise explanations about what you're doing and why. I also love your soothing voice! You're a terrific RUclipsr!
This is beautiful.I have been seeing this in my side bar for weeks ,so thought I would come and watch .It’s very relaxing I must say, never really tried this sort of thing, but you can see why it’s so absorbing. The over all affect it really lovely and it’s interesting as there’s so much to see on the whole piece, not just one area.I love this 🥰
Another great drawing Betsi. I thought before I attempt any of this kind of drawing that maybe I should do some of the basic zentangle type drawings. I know that I’m holding the pen too tight, but it feels funny if I try to lighten my hold. And I start out slow and steady and the next thing I know, I’m speed drawing, lol! Oy! I have lots of practicing to do. I look forward to seeing your next video…..I always want more. Thanks for sharing your talent, tips, and tricks with us. You really are amazing!
WOW...just stumbled unto your channel...and loved what you did, so I subscribed!!! I am so so new to this and am enjoying the journey! Thanks for sharing, inspiring and sharing the supplies that you use!
I thoroughly enjoyed watching you work! I’ve gotten into the habit of doing this type of drawing every night for an hour or two (or five), but now I’m in the process of moving and all my supplies are packed away. 😢 You’ve brightened my day and reminded me of what I have to look forward to, so thank you! BTW, when I want to add highlights, I use a white Caran d’Ache Luminance colored pencil. Goes on super smooth and won’t brush/rub away like charcoal can. Be well!
Followed along on this one for my Sketch of the day, as the other side of the page has colors that bled through. Needed a lot of ink! So fun and satisfying! Thank you!
Just discovered your channel and it’s wonderful. I usually draw portraits and was trying to use these techniques to bring depth to a portrait. I would love to see a video on that. Thank you for your channel and inspiration.
Thankyou....this is the first time ive seen your work. So happy i did...i love to draw...this looks like something i will enjoy....cant wait to start one!!! ❤❤
Wow, I bet it looks really interesting in relief 😊. I've created some of these forms in sculpture, but never together this way. Might be fun to explore that in the future.
Another lovely image! I love watching you work, and learning. Funny note...I like drawing the shapes you called doughnuts or eyeballs; I call them my frog's eggs, because I got the idea from a photo of frog eggs.
I'm loving watching and listening to you. It makes me want to touch each section to feel the texture. I'm going to try drawing like this although I'm pretty sure my arthritic hands won't allow me any speed. Rome wasn't built in a day lol. Sending hugs from New Zealand

Hey…. New subscriber here. Just wondering how long have you been drawing like this? What do you do with these drawings after you’re done? Have you considered to give drawing lessons on your channel?
I’ve been drawing and making art since I was a small child, and I pretty much keep it all except when a birthday rolls around or when I receive a commission. As far as teaching lessons, I might need some clarification, since I already post complete hour and a half long lessons on my RUclips Channel. Are you referring to one-one classes? I don’t offer anything like that but in the future I might offer longer lessons on my Gumroad.

Miss Betsi, I have a very hard time keeping the small lines close enough together, it seems they get crooked on me, I have arthritis and maybe I can use that as an excuse, lol, but I guess my question would be: How do you keep those lines so even and curve so well? I really wish I could do that. I’ve been practicing, but still having a hard time. Any tips?
That’s such a tough question. Truthfully I really only know what works for me: I intentionally try to loosen my grip on the pen since when I grip it too tightly I notice I strain my hands more. As far as getting the lines cleaner and smoother, it takes practice, sometimes lots and lots of intentional practice.
@@betsi_jae Thank you, that does help me. Sometimes its hard to keep doing it over and over, but it does help. And I do grip the pencil like it might run away.
