I really enjoyed this video. I followed along, and I was really happy with how my watercolor turned out. I'm teaching myself watercolor, and your video taught me a lot.
I just started watercolour painting in March of this year and I have fallen in love with Ink Sketch and watercolour. You have given so many great tips and explain each step really well. Thank you for sharing your talent with us!
🏛 Doors, Windows, Trellises, Paths, (winding trails and such) have always been interesting to paint.‼️
- *I’ll be painting this door for sure.*
- I think I may replace the tree with a grape vine/plant on the left… and a old Terra cotta wine pot.
THANKYOU SO much for teaching us that we do not to paint perfectly. 🥰
- I think I finally got it through my head that perfect /straight marks can be uninteresting at times.

Love this door AND your tips and teaching❣️ Thank you Taria😊
So nice to see a tutorial that goes into actual detail beyond just "And then add some dark here" or "Just kind of see what the light is doing to determine when I want to add more color." Strange that it's rare to hear actual helpful bits like exactly how wet or dry your brushes are, exact hand movement, etc. Glad the algorithm popped this into my feed.
I’ve taken many door pictures on various trips. You’ve inspired me to sketch and paint some of them!
Thank you. I love your instruction and style of painting and teaching.
Doors can be a lot of fun and have some great textures and meanings. Windows, especially with curtains, can be just as much fun and often have some real twists to them. I like what you did here. -OkieSketcher1949
Love this ❤. I think you may have overlooked the bottom hinges! All in all it’s super lovely 😊
I love old doors and collect photos in readiness to paint them☺
Hi Taria your Video made my rainy afternoon time perfect thank you so much
Nina
Beautiful! What a great tutorial! Can you please share what brand/color the door is? Thanks!
Enjoyed your approach. I love old - doors, cars, buildings, etc. This approach will be effective in depicting the texture. Thank you and happy 2024 🎉

I LOVE DOORS! No idea why, but I do. This is terrific, thank you! Unrelated compliment, but you remind me of Drew Barrymore a bit.
You're an excellent teacher. Thank you so much for this tutorial and the reference photographs. I'll definitely try it.

You are a great instructor and I love your work!!!
Really enjoyed this, thank you. I appreciated the tips on which pens do what. I’m always looking for waterproof pens that won’t bleed through the page. It’s really helpful for a newbie like me to know what colours and brands of paint you’re using too. Thank you.
Just found you 😁 I will be slowly getting through your back catalogue 🇬🇧🎨🖌️🖌️🖌️

Excellent tutorial!
Inspiring!!
I like that you use different mediums. I own a bit of every types, I can't decide on just one, so your types of creating intrigued me.
Really beautiful.
I love old doors too. Italy has loads too. Anyway, thank you for this great tut6. I am not a complete beginner, but definitely still learning. I am also following Toby Hasler
This is lovely. I take photos of doors and windows wherever I travel. I shall try to do watercolors of a few of them. Wonderful tutorial. Thank you.
I love doing pen and wash. You helped me tremendously by adding other elements, I.e., watercolor pencil, etc. thanks so much. I have subscribed and look forward to more!
This was a good tutorial. I like your teaching style. 😃
great tutorial, you are so talented.
Super. Lovely inspiration in this one for me. Good tips & tricks. Thank you.
Just found you on RUclips and I love the sketches I've seen so far. I've always had a affinity to old wooden structures; especially doors, windows, barns and barn doors. Thank you for sharing 😂
This is a nice demo. I've just watched but will try and do a paint along with a re-run of this video. Thanks Taria xxx
This painting exudes an incredible radiance, love, and the unmistakable touch of a master artist. It fills my heart with profound gratitude to you for evoking such meaningful thoughts and for adding an immense beauty to this day. Thank you, from the depths of my being, for the inspiration and joy you bring through your art.
Loved this. I’m right at the start of my sketching/watercolour journey, so the idea of sketching interesting doors to find my way around the paints and how it all works really appeals to me.
Forrest green by Sennelier is a really nice dark green.
Enjoyed your guidance. I have been following your work and have tried to apply many of your techniques. Cheers.
This is beautiful. I've been away from watercolor for a very long time and recently picked up a brush again. I love watercolor. You're very good and your tips are wonderful. I liked and subscribed.
I think with practice my straight lines are getting straighter! I enjoy doing this kind of sketch and it always seems to work out well!
Very nice explanations

That was Brilliant ..._
Cheers
Great photo of you.
I’ve been doing some watercolors lately use to do a lot with fashion drawings when I was going to the HS of Art andDesign ( many many years ago) I loved watching this video because I love painting windows and doors❤
That is awesome! Thanks for watching 🙌
For stone, have you considered some of Daniel Smith's granulating watercolors? Like Shadow Violet, etc. Just a thought 😊
I'm new to your channel, ink&wash, and watercolor. Although a little beyond my skill level, this was a very descriptive tutorial, and I thank you for that and will follow for here in out. 😊❤
Glad it was helpful Linda!!
thankyou! Newbie here - subscribed 😘
Hi! Your video is incredible, it gives details that I had not noticed in other videos. I would like to know the link to your brush. I'm looking for straight brushes and I'm having a hard time finding them. Thank you so much!
TSA..best door ever
You had me at the Friends reference. 😂
I believe Rosa Gallery from Ukraine also makes a green from that same pigment as white nights.
I love it! I’m obsessed with doors, windows, houses and other small details at the moment. I also like the way you explain it. But I have a question, I thought that Pinterest wasn’t suitable for photo references, because sometimes the pictures that they share on Pinterest are copyrighted. Yet I see you and some other artists using it (myself as well in the beginning). I’m a bit confused. How do you check if you can use a photo?
Same Question 🤍
❤❤❤
I am thoroughly enjoying your tutorial, where do you live?
What went off with white nights ❓
My son calls me Chandler whenever he sees a photo of me.
Chandler is a stupid stupid non name....
Hi may I please know what brush is this that you're using in this video?
Lol. Taria's philosophy on paper......Sketch first and ask questions later......😅
What brush are you using for the details?
