Japan was in trouble but that drop in GDP is very weird! Not intended, I have a suspicion of what caused it and am trying to test it so I can find a fix :)
Negative GDP indicates economic collapse next turn, the way the game works is that the GDP is smaller than half the total province income so the central government has lost control basically. I know that's not how GDP works 😅
@@jabberwock2517 the imploding economy is in vanilla it’s just all the nations have near infinite money trees hidden somewhere so you never see it. You can collapse them all for the win in vanilla, it requires cost-effective invasion fleets deliberately targeting home provinces of all major powers during the first two decades. So it just takes a little more effort. The play style doesn't make for as many exciting battles that would fit easily into YT episodes, but the accomplishment of actual strategic objectives might make up for some of that. The smallest torpedo vessel possible, minimal superstructure, maximum hull-form speed, on 1.1 inch gun astern and two to four forward-firing torpedo launchers in the bow. Costs are really low as is tonnage so you can build 20 at a time from 1890 and have plenty of room for fleet vessles as well. Oh, well, mission accomplished, I guess. For sure Japan's collapse left a void which can bring about interesting events. I look forward to what this means for the campaign in the future.
I think you need to get your ships a little bit closer to shoot torpedoes as well as when you send six ships I would send two to either side and keep two in the middle so they're getting attacked from all three fronts
Well, so much for the campaign's original goal 😂 I guess you should just continue and see how far you can go with this. And I guess you got revenge for the long brutal defeat in the Russian campaign before this with a quick easy and hilarious win in this Chinese campaign, on top of getting revenge against the Japanese for the Sino-Japanese War. I wonder how the admiral will react to this sudden turn of events. Probably at a loss for words and so confused over what just happened, but also relieved that the war is over and didn't cost too many lives. Something to that effect.
Wait I thought this was meant to release tomorrow? Also mispelt "Awkward". Anyways I'm excited to see how this campaign progresses. EDIT = Wow, what a 180. Damn
First off: 3 episodes in, zero og designs and victory achived... It do be funny. Second: I have a lore reason to continue campaign. Taken by the swift victory iver japan Admiral feels his victory was spoiled by other parties, and as such he gazes further, beyond japanese at the USA, who he thinks were responsible for internal colaps of the Japanesse.
Only once have I caused an opponent to collapse due to economic reasons. Surprisingly, it was the British, who normally have very deep pockets. It was annoying, because it immediately halted several naval invasions that were on their way to success. In that campaign, Russia went on to capture the British isles (because I couldn't). Later, part of Britain rebelled and the British faction re-emerged.
