I love how Jay and Luanne Roth made a cammeo. Almost like a little callback to the books. I've always wondered how the parents were affected when their son disappeared, and their life after Mr. Peterson was exposed. And it wasn't just random placeholder parents either like we had in the pilot. It was straight up the parents from the book. Even Nicky lashing out at his friends for thinking he is crazy is kind of like a callback to the books.

IDK what this is exactly, but this looks like good television, the climax to last season with referencing w/e happened to him, the building suspense with whoever that girl on the street was and why she took a picture, the threat to the "found family" with the kids trying to pull him back, the horror movie score, camera shots, and dark mysterious subtext, that all capped off with the growing crowd forming because of all the controversy, the crowd being increasingly unsettled by the scene, and the classic season 2 pull of each of the cast having a coins, with the horror movie thing of everyone getting mysterious gifts that are half threats, this may not be my thing, but i think a whole lot of kids are going to be obsessed with this
