WOW! I sailed the old Mardi Gras, im 1990, after sailing on my first cruise the RC SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS, so you can imagine how i felt. My sister and i still had a great time because we sailed in Jan, and i went back on the Mardi Gras, again in May, for my B/D i i had a friend that was a travel agent so it was a great deal had a great time the staff remembered me it was awesome. i remembered when they retired the old Mardi Gras, what a difference now. We became cruisers after that sailing 2/3 times a year. I love watching your channel brings back so many memories. Can't wait to start back cruising. Love yall!
I got emotional watching the lido deck party. We’ve always cruised with my grandfather ever since I was 14 (I’m 41 now) we planned a cruise for 2020 and had to postpone it twice due to covid. We finally postponed it for his birthday in October of 2021. He was so excited to go for his birthday and happy to go on a new ship (Panorama) and have a room on the lido deck “where all the happening is”. During the past year I didn’t get visit my grandfather like I was used to because I wanted to keep him safe. So much time was lost. He passed away on March 15th 2021. Your video was so vivid I felt like I could picture him on that lido deck so happy. We will go on our cruise in his honor and in his memory. Thank you for sharing your cruise with us all.
