I thought they looked like stripers, we used to catch them surf fishing on the Jersey shore but I didn't know they could live in fresh water.
Live and learn:)

I knew nothing about them... there was a nice gentleman at the dock, feeding them popcorn ( footage at the end) and he was telling me all about the fish in Lake Mead!
pretty good size fish shown at 6:10 ! my guess is that's a 10-15lb's!
I was hoping to see the B-52 in your video. Was hoping to do that dive years ago. Maybe next time. Have you dived the Cooper River in S.C. yet, for relics and fossils?
Yes, the B-52 had not been approved for recreational diving. I have not dove in SC yet! Would love to!
Swim in that lake all the time and you hear stories about divers not wanting to work on the Davis dam side due to there being car sized fish
I really wanted to see some huge ones! 😁
Neat video.
What were those other striped fish alongside the catfish?
I laughed when I saw the title the Damned lake.
Some people thought it was a dam shame but It is quite an achievement!
Cheers,
Rik Spector
😄 Glad you enjoyed! Those are Stripers. Introduced by fish and game in the 1960’s. They have taken over the whole lake now! Lol
@@alaskarelichunter1157re they good eating? The catfish lookalikes are carp ..you can tell cause they have big and shiny scales
Carp and striper for everyone asking
How big would u say the catfish where that u guys saw and what species of catfish where they the big ones.
Nothing too huge.
@@alaskarelichunter1157 ok well thank you ..you should do a special about the sleeping giants below the dam. Would be amazing sounds good don't it you don't know how much the fishing community would appreciate it I know I would .. Untill then I will continue to follow your vids .
See any fish the size of you ❓ there are some
Nope, didn’t get to, but was hoping!!! Largest catfish there at the marina that I saw was probably 4 feet long?
Got my answer here thank you i hear there is giants there old takes Volkswagen size catfish need proof they are there still.
Too bad that lake is about dried up now
You can’t see anything from this video at all and absolutely 0 relics were found beside some random flag that wasn’t even recovered. Ever considering cleaning the lake and showing our country respect by taking the American flag out of the water instead of posing next to it for a selfie with your scuba gear? I doubt it.
Agreed. We need to keep these disrespectful Radical left wing America haters out of our Lake Mead. Not welcome back!!
