It brought me to my knees and for days I cried and apologize and totally surrendered and let Jesus will to be mine and now I know longer fear him but just enjoy my walk with him enjoy his word and his gifts he has given me he also has shown me how I will die and IAM so cool with that that in my last breath will be giving him glory

I thank the Lord for such a powerful message. Now I know why I am constantly in sin even after desiring to change. It is about letting Christ enter our hearts and transform us from within. Our struggle to produce good deeds is in vain. Because it is Christ who changes wholly and not by our struggle. God be with us, and His mercy and grace transform us into His righteousness in Jesus name. Amen and Amen.

SEALED OR MARKED?
Do you KNOW if you are sealed to God? Time is short; Christ’s message must get out. The True gospel must bepreached. Your salvation depends on Jesus Christ alone. You must believe and repent (truly repent). God is sealing his people now. Time is so short. He is holding back the four winds, while mankind is being sealed for his coming. You are either being sealed with the Holy Spirit of God or sealed with the mark of the beast.
Romans @-12 “And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of your sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works off darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.”
Ephesians @ “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Through the gospel of Christ we have access to His armor. ACCESS; we still must put it on. To be fully armed, to stand, we must know the scriptures. Unfortunately, the devil has trained us to read the Bible by subject matter, here a verse, there a verse, everywhere a verse; a verse for a SUBJECT we are studying. Ever learning and never coming to the truth because we do not build scripture upon scripture to see ALL the Bible has to show us. These simple truth’s escape our purview, leaving access for the devil to exploit our lack of knowledge, our lethargy.
Why is the Bible, God’s book, the only book, most people NEVER read like every other book? Cover to cover, Genesis 1:1 to The Revelation of John @. This IS how every book should be read,
especially God’s, so nothing is missed. God gives us His book that we may put on His armor, BUT we must properly use any tool, especially those from God.
Has anyone put something complicated together without using instructions only to have it not work right? Then, have to take it apart, read the instructions and then put it back together, with the knowledge gained from reading the instructions, so it functions like it should? Our Bibles are God’s instructions. If we do not use the scripture, or study scripture properly, we will at the least be without truth; and at the worst we will be in error, error IS heresy!
My brethren, God does not want us to be ignorant. However, parts of the Bible cannot be found, if what (by subject) you are searching for is not a truth God has chosen to show us; and, also, truth we are to know may remain unseen. This is one way, we remain blind to that which God would have made known. Put it this way, my wife can see a yard sale sign from China, I never see any of them. I am not a yard sale person, it is just not my subject. Gaudy bright neon pink, yellow, orange signs, EVERYWHERE signs! Yet, I am never searching for a yard sale, so I NEVER see the sign.
This is how parts of the gospel are missed, left unseen, not gleaned from our harvest of the scriptures. Contributing to our lethargy is the assumption others will do the due diligence that we do not. Also, because we think our method (here verse, there verse) is the correct method, we are improperly trained. Properly trained, God’s instructions give us the knowledge we NEED. The knowledge to “Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Ephesians @-12
The time is now; the sealing of man has commenced we are now choosing either the mark of the Beast or we are sealed to God. Most are unaware, caught in a false gospel they do not have The Truth and are bereft of His armor. They are unprepared, NOT HAVING DONE ALL, to stand. Yet, believing they are saved.
Jesus said: “Enter ye in at the straight gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat:” Matthew, @. (emphasis MANY).
Many have a belief, and believe they are following Christ, they have a shield of faith, only it is in a false gospel, and this paper shield will crumble in battle. The blind, leading the blind have both fallen into the ditch. God does not have any armor in either ditch. No one, in a ditch, has God’s armor.
There is a ditch on both sides of The Narrow Path, on both sides of The Straight Way. The ditch of “works” on one side, leads to damnation just as much as not believing; because salvation is NOT EARNED. Works of self = self righteousness. We have no righteousness of self through any work, for true works are not ours, but His. It, righteousness, is a gift from Jesus Christ our Lord. Therefore, through my faith works will be shown, yet, through works will no righteousness be obtained.
The other ditch, is the atheist, agnostic, predestination, and the “once saved always saved,” grace abuse ditch, on the other side of The Narrow Path. Both ditches hold only error, heresies, and death. Broad is the way that leads to destruction for all of these “Christian’s” who think they follow Christ.
The DITCHES ARE FULL OF CHRISTIANS!! (not just the unbelieving).
Only being properly prepared with scripture, after having accepted the New Covenant gospel of Christ, WITHOUT adding or subtracting from it; can we stand therefore having girt about our loins with truth; He will lead us into all truth. Christ can then give to us The Breastplate of Righteousness, HIS righteousness, a free gift. Having shod our feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace. The peace that only comes from accepting that we are sinners; in filthy rags, INCAPABLE of righteousnes except by Christ’s gift of it. Christ is the Prince of Peace, to know Him, is to know peace. Christ left us His word in the scriptures, that we might be prepared. That we might above all, take the Shield of Faith, so we can quench ALL the fiery darts of the wicked.
Ephesians @-17, “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breast plate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.”
The wicked have many darts; without faith on Jesus Christ based upon His true gospel (the only way to salvation, the only way to receive the Holy Ghost and be sealed to God) the darts of the wicked will not be quenched. All caught without Christ, not sealed by the Hoy Spirit, will feel the sting, the pain the wicked one intends. Unprepared, the unbelieving, those stuck in heresy, will have chosen the beast because they chose not Him (Christ). They chose not to be baptized by the Spirit of promise; they chose the mark of the beast because they chose not to be sealed by the Holy Ghost.
However, if we choose Him, His gospel (The gospel), as given in His book, the Bible, we can take The Helm of Salvation and have the knowledge to wield His sword, The Sword of The Spirit, which is the word of God. Are you prepared?? Are you working harder to build up treasure on earth than you are at building up treasure in heaven?? Do you study his word or do you “subject” His book? Are you doing just enough, a few minutes a day (a week?), to tell yourself, “I have done as God wants;” thereby making it a work?
Do you weigh your good and bad deeds telling yourself, you are good enough?

i was on my way. then I blasphemed the holy ghost. I hate my life by not listening my convictions. now theres no conviction of sin. I won't be forgiven in this life or the net...i live in blindness and fear/ people don't grieve the spirit..run back. i'm going to hell because i did this. I wish he lived in my heart still. i pray for all of you.
Jimmy Kelley Hey Jimmy, praise the Lord that you feel that way. I say this because you come across as someone who feels remorse for his behavior and longs for a major change, that’s exactly what the Holy Spirit does for you when he convinces you of your sins and current conditions. My brother, come to Jesus just the way you are and he will forgive you no matter what you’ve done and no matter how far you’ve gone from him. Let him reach you by his grace, mercy, and love. I’m praying for you!
@@MegaJeanmike thank you Michael..Something bad has happened though..I don't know if I can come back. Ya see, Hebrews 6 4-6 and 10..and, i kept sinning for so long, and when I was saved, I went head first, reading and praying night and day, so the conviction was poured out on me. I reached a point to where I could no longer feel the conviction of the holy ghost..I would go to pray and notice that my words were not even of, the spirit. I felt as if I knew i'd done something to where there was a separation. At that point in time, I went through major depression..Then reading about the blasphemy of the holy ghost. This had to be it! I even got to the point to where I went down for the count. I couldn't fear God? I couldn't love? Not him nor anyone. I didn't hate nor get angry. At 1st I was humiliated but, as time went on, well where i'm at today, it's like, "I don't care anymore." And if my heart wasn't hardened, I would be on my face, because I used to have such a big heart..I FEEL LIKE A ZOMBIE ROBOT! Brother, I'm nervous always. And condemnation runs my every hour :( I can't believe how close we were walking together and the love, praise, and zeal..to now, i rarely look at the bible. Or church seems so hypocritical, so I don't go. The only prayer I can say is the Lords Prayer..all 7 deadly sins i've now fulfilled. I get bothered when I see atheists, or new age teachings, etc, because i've been the prodigal son 3 times. I don't know what to do, i'm scared, I want to love God and Christ, and remember when I did. My life (although I was broken? I was just fine by that!) it's 3:38 am and can't sleep. I have no structure, hard heart (sometimes i'll get sad, and it makes me happy! like, "i'm still allive, ya know? i'm dead. book smart, but my personality is gone too. even the old evjl one...As if my condition is never gonna change.. **smh** desperate for him. but desire has died
Brother, I know exactly what you’re talking about because I’ve been there before. As a matter of fact I’m literally in the process of turning my life around. The first thing you need to start doing is accepting God’s forgiveness and forgiving yourself. There is a lot of confusion around the sinning against the Holy Host, this is not to imply that you are confused or anything along those lines, however, you strike me as someone who still cares and who is longing for a new heart. That’s exactly what the Holy Ghost does for us. He shows us our conditions and then drives us towards Jesus so we can be saved. The Holy Ghost is a loving person just like Jesus and He cares for you, he cries with you and he prays for you. I’m not in a better place than you spiritually though, the same grace that keeps me going is available to you and anyone else who claims it in prayer. Don’t focus on the church at all, just fix your eyes unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is our ultimate Leader and He wants to have a close relationship with all of us including you my friend!

Are you prepared? Praying always, in the Spirit, watching with all perseverance, pleading humbly for all the saints? Do you preach the gospel of Christ to others, or do you hide it from others? Do you talk about it with coworkers, friends, family, acquaintances and strangers; do you want to see others saved? Is God working through you to gain other sheep?
If not, why? His goal is to gather all His lost sheep! The work is plenty and the laborers few, indeed. “…Nevertheless, When the Son of man cometh, will he find faith on earth?” Luke, 18:8.
“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth BOLDY, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak BOLDY, AS I OUGHT TO SPEAK.” Ephesians @-20 (emphasis mine).
Speaking boldly against all heresies, all, those of religions and those of man, will I speak boldly now, that the blind may see, that the deaf may hear, that the dead may live through Jesus Christ our Lord. Many will reject the truth that follows, but some will turn to God, God only care about his lost sheep. His sheep hear His voice, even in the wilderness they hear the cry; prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight, just prior to Christ’s return the same as they did prior to Christ’s ministry.
This is a significant prophetic warning for the latter days! The church leaders are teaching us with all deceit and unrighteousness as they love their station, their money, their life here on earth. Lost, blind, they believe THEIR OWN LIES; damning all who they blind to the truth.
Now, as his return fast approaches, the whole world seems a wilderness of religious idolatry (for those caught in heresies of false religions) and lewdness and lasciviousness for those in doctrines of men; no wonder Jesus asked, when the Son of man comes again, will he find faith? Persevere, the truth will seem a fable to most, as most have believed fables for truth.
Events in the world mirror those in the Bible, religious leaders saying a “messiah” is coming (2019), Israel squaring off against nations as foretold, people lining up, having parties, waiting to have “NTag 216” implanted in their hand (interestingly 6x6x6=216); and, also a “creation awakening” the truth about the sun, moon and stars, God’s truth about creation as found in scripture.
All of these things matter to the gospel, but the gospel of Christ (according to the New Covenant found in the Bible) is above all of these events for it leads to Jesus. Nothing is more important than the gospel of Christ.
“Behold I stand at the door and knock; IF any man hear my voice, AND open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” Rev. @. That is why the last, the truth about creation, is the most important of the “world events” (above) as it IS a movement bringing people to God who were lost; lost, but they heard a knock at the door and opened the door of a Bible, seeking God and found him. That is God moving people!
Joshua @-13, “Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themmsleves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hastened not to go down about a whole day.” Did you SEE that? Did you HEAR truth?
The Bible says God stopped the sun and moon and day stopped for about a whole day. Sun standing still = day standing still. How does that work if the world is spinning? Hold a flashlight (the sun) still, the light shinning on a globe (the world), while spinning the globe and you will see; it does not stop the day! The bible teaches a created world, not a fable world.
A simple truth God let us know of in his word, how he created and made the world, leading lost sheep back. God is opening the eyes of the blind who seek him, to do his work. God is opening the ears of those who would hear his word, that they may know the truth, and find salvation through Jesus Christ. Have you heard His Spirit speaking? Do you see what God has to show in scripture? Has the Holy Spirit shown you the truth the Bible holds? Is he right now?
How long has it been since the Holy Spirit has grabbed you up to show you truth that brought you into a closer walk with God? Truth that made you see anything from God clearly? We stand on truth, for Jesus IS the Truth (John 14:6), our rock (the cornerstone) the foundation on which we build our house. The house in which our faith rests (see; Hebrews chapter 3).
The time is now. Right now those who would be followers are believing, the fables of men, false doctrines or doctrines of science/man, leading to death of the spirit before
the body. Before the body, because we are being sealed now, right now, by either the Holy Spirit or the mark of the Beast; those sealed to the Beast, sealed to death. The eternal death of the spirit.
Those who have the simple gospel, that Jesus Christ, God Almighty came in the flesh, born of a virgin, came and lived a sinless life, laid down his life, died for the sin of the world, and rose from the dead on the third day, as found in the Bible, His word; that you must believe on Him, Him alone, ask Him to be your Savior, truly repent and walk with Him, ACCORDING TO THE NEW COVENANT, Christ’s covenant, then you are saved! You are reborn, sealed to everlasting life!

Though I'm a self supporting SDA(not through my own choice but put out cause"i would not agree to disagree)(and I dont agree with being in Ecumenical movement), pastor Finleys sermons are(as over always known him from old times to be) very uplifting and divinely practical and divinely encouraging. I listened again today(as a confused,heart broken backslider) with tear filed eyes asking & praying, why cant the truth loving, genuine SDAS of both mainstream & self supporting, press together in much prayer & fasting with holy dialogue? This would TEALLY kick Satan into touch!
Do you understand the role of the Holy Ghost in the New Covenant?
This is how we obtain the armor of God, those with a circumcised heart, from the Holy Ghost. When we search his scriptures, the Holy Ghost leads us into all truth,
girding us with the armor of God found in Ephesians chapter 6, verses 11-18.
Jesus himself said in John chapter 16:7-13 “Nevertheless, I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of sin, because they believe not on me; Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. I have many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.”
Christ went away, sent the Comforter (Holy Spirit), who rebukes those in the world (all are under sin; Acts @, Romans 3:9, Galatians @) who do not have the gospel of Christ and therefore believe not on Him (not “A” gospel of Christ, but THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST). The Holy Ghost rebukes those who do not accept Him because Christ’s righteousness was made known through fulfillment of scripture, at the cross when Christ with his righteousness defeated the devil (Luke @, John @ “Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be judged.”), then ascended to be at the right hand of God in heaven.
You are either convicted of sin or of righteousness by the Holy Spirit because he is sent to Judge us by our rejection of Christ (belief in ANY heresy); or by our acceptance, our belief in Christ (the true gospel of Christ). If sin, convicted into death, if righteousness (by believing in the New Covenant of Jesus Christ), sealed to God and given his armor, thus we are judged to be sealed of God or of sin.
Christ sent the Spirit of truth to come and guide the disciples/apostles and us (those with THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST) into ALL TRUTH, God’s armor is ALL TRUTH. His Truth is our armor. We are sealed in this armor, sealed in the armor of God by the Holy Ghost; making us able to bear that which we could not, to withstand in the evil day and, having done all, TO STAND.
Those who do not have the armor of God, those without the seal of The Holy Spirit, those who are in heresy, are without any oil at midnight. Defenseless, having done little or nothing to fortify their loins to be able to withstand SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS they fall prey to fables of men, while stubbornly refusing to see truth (like the Jews who rejected Jesus when he came and died). ALL truth matters (= knowledge). All lies matter (= deception/ignorance). Lies, lead to unrighteous breast’s exposed, ready to be pierced by the Beasts deceptions. Error, leads to feet NOT SHOD with the preparation of peace, ill equipped to withstand heresy. The Holy Spirit does not guide into, nor speak any heresy! Who are you following, who’s leading you my brother? Are you lead by the Holy Spirit? Is what you believe Christ’s gospel, as preached by Jesus and the apostles? Can anyone find the gospel you believe in the Bible or do they need your prophet to interpret the scripture, to see what otherwise would remain hidden? Does your religion have a new message? A truth or a message only found in your religion? Does your religion preach any other seal, AS THE SEAL, of the New Covenant? If so, this is a sure sign of heresy.
Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall in a ditch? Luke @ Jesus answers himself in Matthew @, “Let them alone: they
be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.” Who’s leading you brother?

God had Paul write, "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness" (2 Thes. @-12). Again, Paul writes "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables" (2 Tim. 4:3-4).
Lies, error and heresy remove our crown, the helm of salvation, from our head and turn the sword of the Spirit, the word of God into fables.
The bible warns that the rejection of/blaspheming the Holy Spirit, and ONLY the Holy Spirit leads to damnation. Why? Because, IF you reject or blaspheme the Holy Spirit YOU ARE NOT SEALED TO GOD!! Only those with God’s SEAL are saved. Mark @, “But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath NEVER forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:” Luke @, “And whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but unto him that blasphemeth against the Holy Ghost it shall not be forgiven.”
Those who reject the gospel of Jesus Christ as given in the Bible (by adding to and/or diminishing his word) have blasphemed the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in John @, “He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one who judgeth him:..” In Mathew 16:8 Jesus told us the Holy Ghost is the one who judges those who reject him.
All who blaspheme the Holy Ghost by rejecting Christ for another gospel (for another savior), ARE REJECTING THE SEAL OF GOD and are lost, in the ditch, without God’s armor; unable to withstand in the evil day, having NOT DONE that which all must do to be saved, THEY WILL NOT STAND WITH GOD. They have not accepted his seal of the New Covenant, and are not sealed to God. Those not sealed to God receive the mark of the Beast.

Works are the ditch of legalism, do you have ANY works? If so you are in a ditch brother. Therefore, through my faith works will be shown, yet, through works will no righteousness be obtained, for we have no works but the work of the Spirit who is in us. Therefore, we have no works, other than the work of “belief in Him,” as Christ tells us. We have something better, the Spirit of promise, the seal of God.
Which ditch are you in brother? Predestination? Once saved always saved? We have only one work, that we believe in Christ, according to the New Covenant. If we do not believe in this, as stated in scripture we are left with the mark of the beast.
Both ditches lead to the mark of the beast. Only the Narrow Way, The Way, The Truth, The Life, leads to being sealed by the Holy Ghost to God.

Who are you following brother? Is the gospel you know in the Bible? Is what has been said in the Bible, what you believe? “For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law” Hebrews @. Is your Christ a high priest after the order of Aaron or a high priest after the order of Melchisedec?
Is your high priest restricted to the lesser glory of the law, OR does your high priest have the greater glory of the Spirit?
Do you picture your high priest (Christ) in Levitical robes, still performing sacrifice in heaven? Or, is your high priest the lamb, who atoned once, for all, at the cross finishing atonement there, then
rising and sitting at the right hand of God, like the Bible says?
He holds back the four winds (Rev. 7:1-3) until those to be sealed, are sealed. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit as found in scripture. Is your Savior the Jesus Christ found in the Bible; who baptizes with the Holy Spirit and seals you to God?
In Revelations @, John prophesies, “And blasphemed the. God of heaven because of their pains and their sores and repented not of their deeds.” Uninvited to the wedding feast, they are not seeking his return; they repent not, choosing to be disobedient by seeking their own savior.
Like the Pharisees, they already have a plan for Christ’s return, and are not listening to God’s plan. Not hearing the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of promise they are left without the Savior, Jesus Christ, as found in the sword of the Spirit. Unsealed, they repent not.
God gives the Holy Spirit to those who ask to receive it (Luke @). How much do you ask for the Holy Spirit to be with you and guide you?
I love you all, but hate all heresies. The Holy Spirit has shown me (with the sword of the Spirit) many heresies that a host of “followers” are in. Surely these are the last days, as it seems heresy has supplanted truth and all religions are corrupt. Which ditch are you in brother? Legalism? Galatians @-25, “Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that
faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.” The law given to Moses was a guide to lead Israel to the character of God. But now, since Christ came, all have Christ to lead us to the character of God. The schoolmaster has been replaced with Christ.
Not held to Him by laws, written on stone, with the sabbath as the sign, the seal, for the law only exposes sin. But, by spirit having them written in our hearts and minds by the Holy Spirit, for God is Spirit (John @ “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.”). Jesus only repeated nine of the Ten Commandments in the New Testament because those nine show his character. Only nine (9) commandments are sealed by the Holy Ghost, because now the Holy Ghost is the sign of the New Covenant seal. The sabbath, the sign, the seal of the Old Covenant has passed away (Christ is now our rest).
“Who (God) hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away: How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious? For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more doth the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory.” 2nd Corinthians 3:6-9
Christ’s righteousness exceeds that of the Ten Commandments; it is a far better thing. Why would anyone want to go back UNDER the law? For if we are UNDER any part of the law than we are under the whole law. Under Christ is the only way to salvation.
“But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which veil is done away in Christ.” 2nd
Corinthians @. Christ has removed the veil, yet, the blind still refuse to see, lost in what they believe.

Side bar: The sabbath is not a character of God. It was to be “a day of rest of heart” see Exodus chapter 16, all the verses in this chapter with “sabbath” have this same Hebrew meaning “a day of rest of heart,” in any lexicon. It is this chapter that the Israelites are being shown what the sabbath means, just prior to Moses going on Mt. Sinai. In later chapters of Exodus and Deuteronomy they are given what the sabbath specifically meant to Israel in addition to “a day of rest of heart.” It was to be the sign of Israel that they (Israel)had the character of God; had they sealed themselves to him with his Ten Commandments. The law, the shadow pointing to Christ, the schoolmaster has passed away, Christ took the place of it giving us a much better example to lead us, thus the fourth commandment passed away, no longer needed. - Side bar end -
By belief in the New Covenant of Christ we, now sealed by the Holy Spirit, are held to Christ and Justified (made righteous). Now receiving the salvation/life through Christ being under Him through our faith, of whom, he is the author of. Where as before Christ came there was only the schoolmaster (the law). BUT now; NO LONGER under the law (the schoolmaster) for it condemns all not in Christ to death, now under Christ (according to the New Covenant), sealed to life.
This is why Hebrews chapter 3, tells the story of two houses. The “house of Moses” and the Old Covenant versus the “house of Jesus Christ” and the New Covenant; two separate, distinct, houses built for specific people. Now the old house built by Moses, was a great house, built long before, built for the children of Israel (Deut. 5:3). Moses was a great builder, but his work was the shadow pointing to the Master Builder who would come.
The house that Jesus Christ built for us is new, PERFECT (not a shadow), built for ALL (not limited), is GRACE (from condemnation) is FAR GREATER than the shadow house Moses built. Hebrews 3:3-4, “For (Christ our high priest) was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honor than the house. For every house is builded by some man; but he thatbuilt all things is God.”
Hebrews 3:5, “And Moses verily (truly) was faithful in all his house, as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were given to be spoken after.” According to Paul, Moses HAD given Israel an important house, no doubt about it. Moses gave Israel the old covenant. As a servant of God Moses did as God commanded, in almost all matters, while leading Israel under the law.
Hebrews 3:6, “But Christ as a son over his own house; whose house are we, IF we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm unto the end.” We can choose Christ’s house, by believing in Him, according to the New Covenant, holding fast sealed by the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 3:7, “Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,”
Paul is saying, God has come, Emmanuel, and built us this GREAT and BETTER house!! Not a prototype, not limited, not the shadow or a testimony of what is to come; that was the house of Moses. Christ’s house is TRUE, built for all and to last FOREVER; this house comes ONLY through the Son of God, sealed to God by the Holy Spirit.
Paul is saying; “this house built for Israel has been condemned, TORN DOWN BY CHRIST.” It does not exist anymore, YOU CAN’T LIVE IN THE HOUSE ENGRAVED IN STONE. Why would you want to?
Done at crucifixion, as shown in the temple at the exact moment Jesus died, when the veil (60’ x 30’) in the temple was TORN TOP TO BOTTOM. This was not a thin cloth! The moment that Jesus cried with a loud voice, and gave up the ghost (Matthew @, see also, Mark @ and Luke @). Roughly 30 years later the outward sign of the old covenant, the temple was completely gone; leaving Israel scattered to the nations for a SECOND time.
Chapter 3 then goes on to warn us not to harden our hearts as Israel’s Father’s did. Not to have false beliefs, different from God’s. Hebrews @-11, “…They do always err in their heart; and they have not my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter my rest.)”
God will not seal us, he warns, if we do not believe in what he says we will not enter his rest. We will not be sealed with the Holy Spirit. Hebrews @-13 “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.”
He warns us of being deceived by FALSE RELIGIONS having an EVIL HEART of UNBELIEF, religions preaching of a christ NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE. Churches preaching heresy and making some people DEPART FROM THE LIVING GOD.
We are to encourage others, daily, while it is still today! Lest any of us fall into this sin and hear not the voice of the Spirit. Hold strong to Christ, steadfast in belief in Christ with the Holy Spirit to the end, lest we perish for belief in a heresy. (see Heb. @-19).
Paul is saying Moses had a house but it does not lead to salvation, IT IS NOT FOR YOU! GET OUT OF IT! Paul says you have to believe in Jesus, ACCORDING TO THE NEW COVENANT, to be in Christ’s house and be saved.
